go over to the Yacht Club and eat at Yachtman's Steakhouse?

If we go to YS, can we walk to the YC or take a boat ride?

Part of me wants to keep the reservation as is (with Le Cellier) - we'll be done in time to catch Illuminations (which we'll have also seen the night before), so now I'm thinking it might be fun to leave Epcot and check out another resort?!

What do you think?

Congrats on your first trip!! Disney is so much fun-it bring tears to my eyes!!

I would stick with Le Cellier-we tried doing the "let's be adventurous thing" on our first trip and it was crazy-it took too much time for transportation, etc. Don't get me wrong, it is do-able, especially with adults and older kids, but this way you can spend more time in Epcot with the attractions and relaxing!!

I have heard great reveiws about Le Cellier and the Canadian Pavilion is very authentic and quaint. Hope I helped and have a great time-you'll love it!! :yay:

I'd say go to Yachtsman! :thumbsup2

Since you'll be seeing Illuminations the night before, why don't you check out the Epcot resorts? They're beautiful.

Also, it is just a 5 minute walk from the International Gateway in Epcot to the Yacht Club. A very scenic little stroll. :goodvibes

Also, Yachtsman is a much more worthy signature than Le Cellier, IMO. The atmosphere is gorgeous, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious!

I love LeCellier!

I also, like Y Steakhouse. You can go out the back way of Epcot & go by boat to get there. You can also walk. We rode the boat back & forth & had to wait awhile to get the boat to come back. I don't really know how long it takes to walk.

This wasn't our first trip. If it was I'd just enjoy eating at LeCellier & enjoy taking life easy. My DH & I have gone the last 3 years in Dec. & each time we are now going to a different resort & eating at several new ones each time. Last year we went from Epcot to the Boardwalk area & played putt-putt. We walked the Boardwalk & saw the resorts along there..it is pretty neat!. Then we ate at Y Steakhouse & caught the boat back to Epcot. Was an enjoyable evening..but we also didn't spend alot of time in Epcot that day.

I vote for Yhattmans. If seeing Illuminations is really important to you, you can make slightly earlier reservations, so you have time to walk back to Epcot, and catch them.

I prefer Yachtsman. It's such a quiet restaurant compared to Le Cellier. Then I'd probably walk around Crescent Lake and stroll the Boardwalk at night; it's a beautiful walk.

I disagree with that. Yachtsman was one of the noisiest signature restaurants we've been to, up there with Flying Fish and California Grill.

That said, I think Yachtsman is a better restaurant, at least in terms of appetizer and desserts (we preferred our Le Cellier entrees). Yachtsman is my sixth favorite signature and Le Cellier is my seventh, so I think both are good choices. I'd probably base the decision on which dinner menu appeals to me more (you can check that on the official Disney World website).
