There might be a slight problem with me attending this meet. I had already pretty much comitted to doing the Riddler's Meet and right now they have a poll going to see which weekend would work best and right now the same weekend that our meet is, is the one that is winning. It is in Ohio but it is about 3-4 hours away from where this meet might be. I hate having to pick and I always go with which I agreed to go to first and unfortunately I said in December I would be there. This really bugs me to say all this because I wanted to do both.

Sherry, hope your headache goes away fast. I had a slight headache yesterday and today, and I almost never get headaches. I read on the WISH board that a lot of times when you start dieting you will get headaches for a while until your body adjusts.

The only thing I can think of for the meet is that I might be able to come Friday evening for a few hours. Not what I wanted at all. The problem is that the Riddlers meet will be in Northern Ohio and our meet is in Southern Ohio. CP is a good 2 1/2 hour drive for me and our meet will be 1 to 1 1/2 hours the opposite direction for me. Or if I do not spend the night Saturday night I might be able to come down for a little while on Sunday. Friday would probably be easier and I could be donw there from about 5-6 to about 9 PM (assuming I can leave at a regular time... I could even try to push it and skip lunch so I could be there earlier). Definitely no spending the night for me though if this all plays out that same weekend.

This really stinks... sorry guys, I will do my best but I keep hoping that August is picked instead for the Riddle Con.

OKAY YA YA MEET FOLKS....THE PLACE IS OURS!!!!!

Talked to the very nice guy who owns the retreat this morning! He got quite a charge out of "our story"! He says the place is perfect for us and we are gonna love it!!! It does not have a dvd player but we can bring one. It has a cd player and a good sound system...a Karaoke (sp?) machine...OMG!, and a vcr. They supply enough wood for a good fire every night...ahhhh....and if we want more we can buy it from them. I need to call 14 days before our arrival date and give him final numbers...so ya'll who are not definate yet have plenty of time. He charged us 345.00 for 6 people/20.00 extra for #7 for Friday and Sat nights, then 200.00 for 2 people and 20.00 for each adult over 2. for Sunday night I add that up to be (be afraid here...Jodie is adding) 1030.00 total right now...without the 6% tax added . I put half on my credit card so Jennifer, Marilyn, Bonnie, Betty, Beccy and Beth all owe me 76.00 as of now. I will eat the tax. This poor man was in Chicago on his cell phone, waiting for his first grandchild to be born!!!! I told him to forget this and I would call tomorrow but he wouldn't hear of it...but he didn't have an adding machine or anything so he didn't total things for me. Hee hee....the people I have met because of the DIS!!!! What a nice man.
SOOOO....we are off and running. I do have a concern however that has been voiced to me in pm this morning so I know it's not just me. It concerns me that we are posting all of this info for "heaven only knows who" to read. There are many lurkers on the dis. So as of now any specifics about dates and places will be communicated to you via pm...okay? I will post on the thread more general things...deal? So those of you who might "add on" later (PLEASE DO...this place holds 16!!!), pm me if ya want specifics!!!

I am too... actually I am hoping that maybe I can take time off on Friday (hopefully we will be allowed vacation) and maybe spend some good time with you all then Or you all could stop at my house on the way down to the meet I will figure something out, but I am just sorry that it might come to this. I want to say too bad I already had comitted to that one before this one but at least I do have that because otherwise I would have to flip a coin.

Popped in real quick while the baby is sleeping.

Thanks everyone........my headache is gone. YAY! I don't know if its from dieting, or because it is almost THAT time of the month. But...at least its gone.

Went out this morning and bought a treadmill. DH is gonna get it set up tonight or tomorrow. YAY!!

Ate lunch at Ponderosa and I did pretty good. Didn't eat anything near what I would usually eat. That's a good thing.
