Morning, girls! Snow is blindingly beautiful this morning with the bright sunshine. Didn't get near as much as predicted, so had no problems getting to work this morning. Still, it's just now hitting 20 degrees, so I was so happy to see this pic on Webshots when I got here

I get whenever I try to explain the DIS to people too. Too many reports of murder and mayhem resulting from online "friendships". Then I explain that I actually met my husband online and they think I should be committed!!!

First, Chicago meeters...have a wonderful time. Drive safe, take lots of pictures, and please say hi to everyone for me. Sorry I can't be there with all of you.

My only consolation...my little GD YaYa, who was over last night to eat (we all had a blast and laughed so hard ), asked if she could stay over tonite and Saturday night. DIL is going to drop her off when DH gets home from work. I love having them so much closer! DGS (15 1/2) hugged me last night and said "Nana, it is so cool to be able to just come over, and eat and spend the evening with you and Grandpa. Now I won't have to miss you so much". I am blessed!!!

Beth. Congratulations on landing another client....good luck at your appointment tomorrow.

Bonnie, so glad you gave that HR person a piece of your mind. Sometimes the HR dept. where I work makes the dumbest decisions. And what was with the "I'm sorry" from HR??? If they are sorry, why did they do it in the first place? DUH!

As far as getting " " looks from people...I kind of got that from DH at first, but you know what? He has really come around. He realizes how much ya all mean to me. Sometimes after work, he'll say "why don't you get comfy and then go chat with the YaYa's". And when I told him about the meet in July, he said "cool beans". And DS thought it was cool too. So, I am making headway.

Enjoy your snow Jodie. And I haven't gone sledding in years. I'll come along. But you have to promise to serve hot chocolate when we are finished.

Hi Jeannie! Good to see you. Been missing you around here. I caught the last few minutes of Joe Millionaire last night. I was cracking up...."bread suitcase" DH said he felt sorry for the girls thinking the guy is rich and he really isn't. My little softie......at heart, softie at heart!

Deadline - that explains it all - right? Snowing and freezing temperatures - that's the rest of it, right?

DS cooked us supper last night as one of his last requirements for his Personal Management Merit Badge. He made pork shops, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, applesauce and french bread. Everything was delicious!

Tonight he goes to interview a Park Ranger for the last requirement for the Merit Badge. Once this Merit Badge is signed off - he can proceed with his Eagle Scout Board of Review - which we're hoping can be scheduled for the end of February. He has to get letters of recommendation for several individuals and I need to get an Eagle Scout project scrapbook completed for him to take to the Review.

DD just found out that she's been selected to coach 3rd & 4th grade cheerleading during the summer and fall. She's very excited.

I dunno.... Hey... which way did he go? Which way did he go?? I've been way too busy for my liking lately. I hate when RL cuts into my Dis time. Hey, where do the people at the Price is Right get their prices??? They just had a Peter Pan DVD on there & said it was retailed at $40. Um... last time I saw it in TDS, it was $20. Holy cow.... I guess those California prices are more expensive than the rest of the country! (sorry Kim )

He talked to 4 people in two groups and was there for 8 hours!!
He is very interested in one of the groups.....now we wait.
But I do hope he gets more interviews

Naw...This is something we joked about way back before we were yayas. We were still last worders. There were marks on my bumper and a chunk out of the trim on the garage. I assumed I did it and didn't realize....later I suspected it was actually dh who did it.....Well today I manage to give the trim a little bump on my way into the garage

BTW... my post earlier about TPIR & the Peter Pan DVD was a flub on their part (you can tell how much I wanted to work earlier. ). They listed the wrong price and the guy lost. But since they screwed up, they gave him all the prizes. Hmmmm... but they never did say what the price *should* have been.....

Sheesh... I'm still talking game shows.... You can really tell I just *don't* want to work today, can't you? Maybe I'll go dig in the kitchen for lunch now.

Okay, I'll commit to definitely coming down Saturday and staying at least till Sunday afternoon. I can't commit for Fri and Monday until I know for sure I can get it off. Most likely will have to bring DD with me, so if you're bringing DD betty, they could hang out together. Am trying to convince DH that you're not a bunch of axe murderers, but he is going to take some convincing!
