Update on the boss.... Today, she made a grave error in judgement. She called in sick and let the VP have our monthly meeting with all of the unit managers, the VP now has a real good idea about what's been going on, and I had to get in my bosses' desk today to find things for the VP that she was supposed to have done, and guess what wasn't there.....

I'm also upset about the fact that "he" can bake a cake and I can't. Ya know... I might just have to print those pics out and take them with me on vacation... if I get bored, I could always pull them out and show them around... I'm sure I could find someone that would get a big kick out of them.

Okay, well... I did it! I cut my hair! Also.... I talked to Connie about the color in my hair. All of the bright red completely fell out... except for the 4 inches of new growth that has no perm. She did a partial on it again today after a protein treatment and said if that stays, she'll do the rest. It looks like I might have to get the permed hair in a little better condition before the red will stay though. The biggest change today.... I have bangs now... I know I know... I can see Elaine rolling her eyes from here. I think I'm really going to like it though. I'll try to get Tom to take a pic tonight.

Todd, we'd love to have Amanda join us!! As for the boring life thing... Oooooh, do I hear her!! YaYa world helps alleviate a lot of that boredom though! I get bored very easily and can always count on these crazies to pick me up again. 'Course I'm easy... only takes a pic or two to do the trick.

Jay... I'll try to post a couple new pics of your girls sometime in the near future... for now you might have to settle for one of little ole' me with the new do though. Hey... at the salon, I was looking at a magazine... there was a pic in there comparing celebrity's looks... Audrey Hepburn and Natalie! OMG... it was amazing!!!

Elaine, the stuff that my boss was supposed to have done was not there. To be a fly on the wall tomorrow when she gets back..... And then during the meeting, we all started asking each other about what she has told each of us to do, and it appears that she tells us contradictory things, and this was validated by the entire team. Not only that, but the VP let us overturn several of the boss's decisions that either caused staff disgruntlement or extra work that was not necessary. I'm sure there will be hell to pay next week, but it will be worth it.

Okay, the shove over story...

Tuesday night we went out to dinner at a sports bar place. DD decided she was going to sit with Dad, usually sits with me, this is in a booth. In the middle of dinner, she wants to come sit with me, but I hate to be on the inside of a booth so I won't move. (DD is 14 Jody). She takes her hips and pushes me over and says "the power of hips". I pushed back, I thought gently, but evidently hard enough that she fell out of the booth (not hurt), looked down at her, grinned, and said "the power of bigger hips".

It may be a "you had to be there" story, but it was hilarious, and the people around us cracked up. The morale of the story--Never mess with a yaya mama.

Well, it looks like the island is deserted tonght. I am going to wander off and relax. I went to a Relay for Life Rally tonight. DS was a speaker. He talked about my dad and Steve's mom. It was very touching and very emotional. He is the coordinator for the relay in our township. I am so proud that an 18 year old is taking this kind of stand and working toward a cure. He coined a new slogan tonight. In his speech he mentioned a "party with a purpose". The American Cancer Society Rep loved it and they are going to use it as their slogan for this year's relay. It is really nice to see that your child is doing something good. He just walked in and brought me the candle that I lit to honor my dad tonight. He thought that I would want to have. Time for more tears. A REAL PROUD MOMMY MOMENT!!!!

Jennifer, I want to make popsicle stick puppets! Why didn't you invite me over? I could have taken one of them and glued steel wool on top, glued Barbie doll high heels on the bottom and I would have had a Kim puppet. She's as skinny as a popscicle stick.

Well, I'm off to catch up on my devotionals. I have really spent alot of time researching this certification stuff. My head is spinning. The last college I checked out was over $500 for 3 credit hours! Is that normal? I could take week long classes for $420. Hmmmmmm.......I did put my applications in at both the Department of Education for my temp cert and PATS which is Orange County Public schools application center. Now all I have to do is send my transcripts and $56.
