Morning all....

Well I bit the bullet and made a hair cut appt for today - a expected it gets just-so-long and I hate it - trying someplace new because I still have not found the palace that will tell me they know the perfect cut for me....wish me luck - after that is Wally -world.

Found out last night that my assistant at work was offered a long term temp to permanent position that she is considering - she graduated from college in January and has been sending out resumes - Human Resources positions - I am very happy for her but dread losing her - she plans to keep working with us but cutting her hours and honestly I can't forsee anyone else on my staff being about to make the commitment that taking over her duties entails so I'm guess I'll be doing them.

Todd - your comment about March Madness made me laugh - Alyssa's boyfriend is just crazy about it - she says he has charts and graphs all over his dorm room - evidently he and my husband are doing a pool together too - Alyssa is going to the Albany game on Saturday.
Amanda....I have a huge empty bedroom - you are all welcome!!

*** Did I mention we got tickets to Kenny Chesney's "Road and the RAdio Tour" - at Gillette Stadium in July - performing with Sugarland and Dirks Bently - bunch of us are going -s houel be lots of fun - DH almost had a fit when he heard how much the tickers were (brother in law ordered them) - until I reminded him that he paid the same amout to go to a Patriots game - haha.

Gotta find some of that motivation.....

So much for sleep-realized I had no work shirts, so I have to wait for the laundry to finish. Put on the morning tv, and Jack Klugman is making his rounds of Tampa radio and TV. It's like looking at my dad-even sounds like my dad. I've always loved his work.

Lily, the car dealership thing had been in the works for a little while. I've been looking for something different, kinda fed up with the way things are where I am. There WILL be a change soon, but exactly where I go remains to be seen. Headache seems to be from the meds-but caffiene is my non drug remedy for headaches, and I can't have it-wah!

Amanda, I'd offer for you to come here, but I'm hoarding all the clutter from everone else that has de-cluttered! And that with boxes yet to be unpacked still in the garage!

Tara, seems like that is such a little thing to reap a big reward! Good call! Hope the doctor takes pity on your time and your wallet and calls in a script.

Nancy, your idea sounded like a really nice one for M'Cori's present. Good luck on a replacement.

Heck, I've got a new house and Ed's got designs on changing the tub already! I've got to admit, I do like his idea, but I thought I'd finish the painting and decorating before tackling a home improvement project!

Ran a bunch of errands this morning and I did get the bathroom clean. So I found *some* motivation

Amanda, sure why not? We could have fun for a week at my house Actually if we had one more bed in the house, I would definitely offer it. We only have a queen and a twin spare bed though.

Sherry that is awful Your poor brother! I hope he gets his car back and recovers from his injuries soon!

Lily, I do hope that the doc will schedule him immediately on Monday for the removal of that stuff. I hope this weekend will fly for him!

Nancy, good luck looking for that kind of a gift! Pity we aren't at WDW or something where they set the pearls for you Have you asked any jewelrs if they could make something like that for you? I know my favorite local jeweler is realtively inexpensive when it comes to that as long as it is simple.

Tara, I do hope your doc does take pity on you! I also hope the sickies leave your house quickly! glad that the move worked for the boy. Sometimes it's amazing how influenced they will be by others.

Paula, sorry you will be losing your co-worker (well not enitrley but mostly). I hope it all doesn't fall on you though. Have fun at the concert! When do y'all go? And yay for Christopher!!!

Suzanne, sorry you couldn't sleep in after all. What kind of fun stuff does Ed want to do to the tub?

I need to finish vacuuming downstairs and then I might take it easy for a while.

Lainey, I've got a good size soaking tub with a tile surround. If you take the surround out, there's plenty of room for a small spa. Our bathroom is huge (10x15),so the room is there. I'd just have to knock down the vanity from double cabinets with a sitting area(unused).

Elaine...thanks for the offer. You know a queen and twin would work great. Me, Cassie and Mandy sleep on a loveseat at home. I keep asking them what we will do when they get bigger/older...they said buy a bigger couch

Lily...do you want to through me into a claustrophic fit???? The only time I feel confined is when things are totally cluttered at that is what is at SIL house. She won't even let anyone come and visit, it is that bad.

Tara...Virginia is still on hold. Today I was looking at the Sneed area. Still not sure. We may just delay till October when we go camping in TN. We would only have 3 days to deal with then.

I've been out for two days due to illness but am back today.

I'm sorry to hear how many of you have been (or have kids that have been) under the weather.

Amanda, I knew that you and Todd would be the go-to people for the Smokies.

We just want to relax for a few days and have opportunities for shows/attractions in the area. I'll PM you with specifics later if you don't mind.

yippee!! The doc took pity on me and called the meds in for me! I told the nurse that not only did I not really want to bring him in for fear of other ickies on top of this, but that I was doing my best to avoid getting sick!!

Sherry...i'm so sorry about your brother! I must have missed that when I posted. I hope its all okay.

Alan...hope you get to feeling better! Its no fun to be sick when the weather finally gets nice (or at least it is nice here ...70 degrees today!)

Bought a bunch of stuff at Walmart - essentials - you know - like STarburts jelly beans - etc....haha. Got my hair cut - I tink I like it - ask me tomorrow morning after I shower an have to style it on my own.

Well, brother got his car back. Him and my mom found it first, then when following the car and talking to the dispatcher, somehow the police LOST the car. So, after another hour or so of staking out the neighborhood, they got the car. No damage either, but DB can't take the car for 2 days, as it is evidence and they are going to wipe it for prints. Hopefully they'll catch this guy. DB is pretty banged up, too, according to my mom. His lip is very swollen, cuts and bruises on his face, a gash on his leg from when he jumped out of the car, and apparently the guy ripped his earring out of his ear and my mom says it looks pretty bad. I can't believe this happened to him again. The poor guy should NEVER leave his house.

Just talked to my mom. My brother got his cell phone back. The guy that had it was a witness and he talked to my brother about what happened. Apparently this guy had targeted my brother as soon as he pulled in the drive-thru. And, we found out it wasn't a beer bottle that he hit him with, it was a gun. This is just so crazy, I can't believe stuff like this even happens.

Yay for the good interview for Chris, Paula. And hope you still like your haircut tomorrow.

Buckle employees work on commission (at least they do here), and so the "service". Christin hates it....loves the store, but she doesn't like them following her around.

Not giving up on the black pearl just yet Asked Geoff for some ideas and that was one think he mentioned, so I will keep trying.

All my sickies are in bed now!! Well, at least the two i'm in charge of. Jay is keeping Jar tonight because I decided not to send him to school tomorrow. I figure this way he'll get 3 more days to get really well. it also gives them some quality time i laugh because jarrod feels better but is really grumpy so this way jay gets to really appreciate parenting!!

I didn't leave school tonight until after 6. Our principal bribed us to come watch the last volleyball game of the season. This apparently decides who's going to the district championships. he bribed us with 2 hours comp time to use on our next teacher work day (April 7). That day just happens to be the next date we had scheduled for scrapping...so now we will be able to leave about 130 in the afternoon and scrap until midnight!! woohoo!!!
I don't know if we won or not, I left when it was 1match to 1match. Apparently I know nothing about volleyball because it seemed like they were giving points just for breathing! But then again it did make the game go more quickly!

Sherry my goodness your bro is very lucky!! I'm glad they got his car back. I hope they catch the ******* that did it! My brother was in an armed robbery a few years ago where the guy held the gun on him and made him walk around the store he managed giving him things. The boy was shook up for a long time!!

Well, I'm going to go find the gardening forum...we do have one don't we? If not then I'll be hitting the community board for gardening advice.

Paula, hope ya still like the haircut come morning. Don't know how many times over the years I've loved it at the salon and hated it once I tried to recreate the look on my own. I loved the last pic you posted, is the new 'do even shorter? Got an extra ticket for that concert? I wanna see Kenny, too!!
