I'm on a conference call so I am sure I will miss something so I apologize!

Being Miss Nosey here, Rose Mary, how big is your house? It is adorable though, but if I had to only pay that much for a house and especially that much in taxes a year, I'd be in hog heaven!!! Guess Ohio is expensive :o (we pay about triple taxes here) I love your house though, but I think I would make the realtor change that incorrect info! I will say though, that measuring usually is a very good sign to me!! We only measured when we were serious!

Nancy, that sounds so very fun!!! I hope it all works out for you and it can be a total surprise!!!

Pam, I don't drink hard liquor either... only wine... so it was Betty who drank it all ;) (oh box is hid though :p)

Ugh, I hate conference calls during lunch :(

I will keep an eye out for a "special" little something for you

Speedskater or Roadkill, Nancy?
DH and I are definitely going on an Alaskan Cruise when we get these teens out the door.......:D

Actually - in RL - I am very boring - don't drink, don't dance - self-conscious....... like to curl up with a good book instead of going out.....

Jeannie hurt her ankle a wee bit sledriding....

I don't believe for one minute in RL you are a quiet kind of gal. I just don't see that happening. Oh course you all would believe in RL I am quiet too......right:confused:

Can't Believe We Made It!

According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were kids in the 10's, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's or even the early 80's, probably shouldn't have survived.

Our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paint.

We had no childproof lids or locks on medicine bottles, doors, or
cabinets, and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets.

Not to mention the risks we took hitchhiking ....

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.
Riding in the back of a pickup truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle. Horrors!

We ate cupcakes, bread and butter, and drank soda pop with sugar in it,
but we were never overweight because we were always outside playing.
We shared one soft drink with four friends , from one bottle, and no
one
actually died from this

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then rode
down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running
into
the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We would leave home in the morning and play all day , as long as we
were
back when the street lights came on. No one was able to reach us all
day. No cell phones. Unthinkable!

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo 64, X-Boxes, no video games at
all, no 99 channels on cable, video tape movies, surround sound,
personal cell phones, personal computers, or Internet chat rooms.

We had friends! We went outside and found them.

We played dodge ball, and sometimes, the ball would really hurt.
We fell out of trees, got cut and broke bones and teeth, and there were
no lawsuits from these accidents . They were accidents. No one was to
blame but us. Remember accidents?

We had fights and punched each other and got black and blue and learned
to get over it.

We made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were
told
it would happen , we did not put out any eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's home and knocked on the door, or
rang the bell or just walked in and talked to them.

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team Those who
didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment.

Some students weren't as smart as others, so theyfailed a grade and
were
held back to repeat the same grade.
Horrors! Tests were not adjusted for any reason.

Our actions were our own.
Consequences were expected.

The idea of parents bailing us out if we got in trouble in school or
broke a law was unheard of. They actually sided with the school or the law. Imagine that!

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers, and inventors, ever. !We had freedom, failure, success, and responsibility --- and we learned how to deal...
And you're one of them!
Congratulations.

Pass this on to the people you know who also survived.

OMG!!! I have been in DIS withdrawal for the last 2-1/2 days!!! My computer here at work decided to give up the ghost just after I arrived yesterday morning! After not having time to play Monday night, I was really looking forward to seeing ya'll and finding out how Liz did getting her staples out, if anybody was sick or needed special prayers or PD, or if anything exciting/interesting has been going on, etc., etc. Sooooooo, today I have the bare bones of a computer. Still can't get at my work email, so I guess I'll just have to play till boss gets that fixed! Too bad, so sad, as the kiddies say!!

OK, gotta go back about 6 pages to see what ya'll have been up to. Just like the Terminator.......I'll be back!!

We were wondering why you hadnt been in to play with us :D Glad atleast some of your comp is working so you can pop in for a quick howdy :wave2:

Elaine-Your not nosey! The house in Ga. is a mansion compared our small cracker jack beach house. It has about 1400 sq ft big eat in kitchen, separate dining room, big great room w/fireplace and 3 good size bedrooms. The master was big enough for our King size bed, armoire and double chest of drawers plus a small love seat. :( I miss that bedroom. Anyway, it has a really big yard too which is what I think is slowing down the sales. Up there the young yuppie upwardly mobile families don't want to
spend there weekends on yardwork but, would rather play at the lake. So.......................

finally made it in and if all goes to plan I'll be with DBf tongiht! (pizza and either Paycheck or ROTK)

:( I thought you were going to say you got a RING!!
How is the hunt going? (for the ring, but something for Pam ;) )

Hope your ankle gets better fast. Ouchie! Sympathy is good....does that mean you didn't have to cook? Watch out...Pam might send you something

Okay, my break is over.....got cleaning to do :(

Cooool!! I'm being talked about!!

Mom always said YOU were the popular one....

Gee, Nancy - what do you think I should send Boo?? There's been a deer along the side of the road since Sat...... thought I spied a possum by the bridge.... maybe there's a raccoon down by the creek....:rotfl:

We are int he middle of a snowstorm - supposed to get 5-7 inches. There was already a bad wreck on the interstate (about a mile from us - shut down the northbound lane, of course DH is coming back from West Virginia and the wreck is at our exit.... )more worse is that they had to bring the lifeflight helicopter in....:( , now another ambulance just went down the main road..... :(

I think I am going to fly on through say hi and say I had a nice hair cut... a few of you know but I'll share it later.

Yes Pam, the Craigy-poo comments can begin!!!

I'm just starving and need to eat!!!!!

Here goes my ketchup:

Boo....hope that ankle feels better!
Beth....glad to have you back!
Liz.....SHARE the bottle of hard stuff....and great post about surviving!! ;) Wish I could join you in WDW.
Pam....school is going good...just A LOT of reading to do!!!
Nancy...your cruise sounds WONDERFUL. Derek wanted to take one of those for our honeymoon but we realized WDW would be easier and a little less expensive. Maybe we'll get there one day too.
PoohSue....you are a BUSY BUSY momma...reading your events made me tired.....but I enjoyed them! Hope your dentist appt. went well.
Tara....I LOVED your bowling story. That guy sounds like my great grandfather. Those men NEVER held back a word. Every time he saw me...his comment would be "If you don't stop eating you're gonna be as big as your momma".....neither one of us got offended...just the way he was.
Bella.....hope you're surviving classes...and still finding time to puckerup: puckerup: to your man
RoseMary....I too would LOVE to have a house like that for that price!! Does is it REALLY have a sauna???
Alan.....can you make another run to no-man's land for me next week???
Todd and Sketti MIA again??
Sherry....Happy Belated Birthday!!
Deena.....how the heck you doing over there????
CS....Hope your date goes well!!

My vote for new home is Roadkill Cafe although I like the yacht idea too...maybe in the summer months??

shew...how'd I do??? Hope I didn't miss anything...did it all from memory.

update here....Derek's boss announced that starting 2/2 Derek will be working the day shift instead of 11am-8pm...I'm very happy about that!!
I went to the doctor today for sinus infection...got good meds.
While I was at CVS getting the script filled my bio clock started ticking....anyone know how to turn it off???

Yes I do...Have 4 children ::yes::

:rotfl: I crack myself up

Did you know that having dinner and biking is really hard on me? Sure wears me out :p

Bethie sorry about the computer!! We missed ya!

Rose Mary, thanks for not thinking me nosey. I just like hearing of other locations and what "sells" sometimes. I would love to have your yard... yuppies can always hire a lawn service

CS, hope you had a good night!

Hi Nancy :wave2:

Pam, did not drink!!!! (yet ;))

Excellent catch up Kristy!!

I like Deena's idea for getting the clock to stop ticking :p

Hi Kimmar!!!!

Silly me makes a comment about getting my hair cut. I am a goof about it. I am scared to death to go and do it and I dread it totally. Well last time I went, I had this really nice guy naimed Craig do it for me. He did an excellent job and recommended some great shampoo for me. He has beautiful blue eyes and this cute little Southern accent (from Georgia, I found out). So I have found a good hair stylist and a cutie to boot! Well a friend got wind of this and teased me about my "newest" love... not very nice is it? ;) :p He *is* good though!
