Sorry bout your dh Rose Mary. That didnt sound like a very fun way to spend Christmas. The one good thing was, as you said, atleast he was in the same state.
CS--I got Linkin Park live in Texas too. Been wanting it. Michael got Korn and Deftones. Matthew got Korn (yes same one--I dont want to hear any fighting) and soundtrack from Freddy vs Jason.
I like the stuff the boys listen to but poor dh doesnt.
Oh I got Evan and Connor the cutest matching Nemo shirsts. It has Nemo on the front and says Shark Bait. Very cute shirt.

Those Nemo shirts sound cute. I got DS a Pirates shirt at TDS
and Pirates game for his gameboy. That was my special present to him since we both watch it so much. He also got that live Linkin Park CD. (among other things)

Elaine got rid of her headache - she passed it off to me! My head has been pounding since Christmas afternoon! And I didn't do my UPS shipping - so I have hours of work to do today!

Von - does the other roommate have feelings for you as well? Is this true feelins or a fleeting moment of lust?? (I know I didn't word that very well, but you know what I mean!!) Can you sit back for a few days and ponder all sides of the situation? Then - let your heart and head make a joint decision.

Kimmar and Kama are cavorting with their Cabana Boys - I think they are longlost sisters or something....


Lily - don't work too hard today. I want to run to Rite Aid later - I have my eye on buying some more of those light-up trees/deer for outside. I hope they reduced the price!

And boy is it cold here today. He is not real happy with the weather. RoseMary, sorry to hear your Christmas was a bummer. Hope your New Year is better. I am thinking I am going to have a crappy New Year, but had a wonderful Christmas. It has been confirmed...I AM going to Disney next year...late February or early March. That was one of my CHristmas presents that I got yesterday. I got lots of Mickey stuff throughout the day, which included Disney Dollars and certificates good for a long weekend stay at the resort of my choice, and several "this is good for one meal...you pick, I'll pay"...we already have our park tickets and plane tickets from the trip we canceled so I think that pretty well takes care of the trip. I am pretty excited. Oh, and I will be able to spend a week prior to my Disney weekend with my family (they all live in Ft. Myers, Florida). They are all pretty excited that Greg was able to work that into my itinerary. They have even offered to pick me up from the Orlando airport and take me back to Disney so Greg and I can fly home together!!! I am quite happy about all of this and beleive it or not even looking forward to my surgery!! Now I have some REAL motivation to recover quickly and get myself to see that Mouse!! Sorry to "brag", but I am jsut so excited. I knew you guys would understand my excitement. I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas. Despite the great gifts....my favorite part of this whole holiday was spending time with Greg!!! For both of us, our families were far away. But that really was OK. We ahd eachother. We truly had a wonderful two days of togehter time and it was so special. Sometimes I forget how lucky I really am and then I am gently and sometimes not so gently reminded!!!
OK...that is enough sap and fluff for now.... I will stop gushing....have a wonderful day....I hope to have a great day with my dad as well...just hope that traffic is not horrendous!!!

Pam, They did admit him. I just talked to him and he's not a happy camper but, at least not in so much pain. They do think
it is a pancreatitis attack brought on, by of all things, too much
WATER! If you can believe that. They have him scheduled for
two tests, to be sure. It's gonna be a LONG day!

Liz, I totally understand your excitement! The thought of visiting Mickey has a way of doing that to ya'!

Great present Liz!! We certainly can understand your excitement. Our next trip is in June with my mil and bil/sil, niece and nephew. I'm really excited about doing some of the grand gathering events.

Lily & Rosemary--We get to be miserable together..I gotta work too---well I volunteered..but its double time..

Elaine--our Christmas was great and yet it wasn't....
We went to see Amandas mom & see is just so tired...
She slept for over 12 hours...and she was so tired when we were there....We were leaving and she told Amanda that 'it was time' I left Amanda spend some time with her while I went over to my aunt's(she has the whole family come & go for christmas during the day) and Amanda said her brother would drop her off....
She spent a little bit of time with her and then came over to my aunts....I was up late waiting to get 'the call' ....At the same time I am thinking I am a selfish JERK for not wanting her to pass on Mandy's Birthday.. ...I really don't know how Amanda does it....I gotta try my best to be there for her when it is really having a impact on me...Hopefully she will get her strength back....We're supposed to go to the casino Sunday night....
I'm done rambling on...
I tend to do that now & then..

Mornin!!

Parents weren't home last night so we couldn't finish our Christmas exchange. Von....Derek's parents are in Michigan so we shipped presents up there and they shipped down here...so we get on the phone and chat and open presents too...kinda like Christmas via teleconference.

Kristy--I got the Safari trunk from Pier 1. have you seen it?? I love it! Its going to look great with my new couch and recliners. AND I --oops I mean dh got TIVO!!! Cant wait to give it a try.

I saw that one!!!! Awesome gift. I bet your room is what I want at some point. Do you have the brown leather couch? hehe...Tivo is next years gift

Elaine, sorry about the headache. There are a few perfumes that someone can just walk by me and I have an instant migraine. I also have to hold my breath every time I walk by the Yankee Candle store.

Liz, good luck with the surgery and enjoy your trip! Woo Hoo! Any idea when you're going? I'm doing a few two day trips, probably in Feb, March and April because we're thinking of moving down there.

Tara-those pumps sure come in handy. I've got a double pump that I'm going to put up on ebay...you really are planning ahead. Need anything else? If I'm moving, I need to part with tons of baby stuff and we're headed down your way with the moving van, LOL!

Von, my sister is married to the roommate! She dated a guy for a year, they parted ways. Then at college, she stole a guy's parking spot that he'd been waiting for...typical NY, he yelled at her when she got out of her flashy little car. They realized they knew each other, and went out on a date. The other guy trash talked her to her now DH for a bit, but he ended up at the wedding! The priest took great pleasure in telling the story of how they came to be during the wedding!

I have to get going and bring the daycare teachers lunch. I try to avoid the traditional gifts and chinese food is a big hit! Then I've got to go to work and get all the returns...'but I bought it at full price, and I don't have my receipt' and it's two years old!

Kristy, DD has a papasan chair. Loves it!! She can sleep in it quite comfortably.

Kristy the couch is brown but not leather, althought it does look a somewhat like leather but it is the soft kind. Supposed to be a strong material. I hope so, kids are rough on furniture. I have kind of the safari theme going on. Pictures of lions and elephants, a couple of palm tree pics thrown in. I like the rustic but not cowboy look if you know what I mean. And we have been looking for a rattan type of bdrm set but most are see are $$$.

I don't know...he has an on again/off again girlfriend and they are currently "on again". he sends me such mixed signals... i dunno. my head hurts from thinking about him so much.

I think I know the fabric you're talking about. I love the brown rustic living rooms with cream walls and all the accents. Derek loves elephants too so that's what we're going to do in a couple of years once we can afford that furniture.
