:)
Well, they were just in SF with DD yesterday, so I don't think he would want to go back there tomorrow.
Not sure if they really have a favorite restaurant.
They just used their GC while DD was there too.
They don't like Disney as much as we do
They like vampires!

Hmmm....but the doll gave me an idea....if he'll do it ....how about attaching it somewhere on a Build-a-Bear?
I wonder how far it is to go to one? I will have to take a look.
He won't do much travelling since it has to be after he gets off work tomorrow.....and that is VERY high traffic time where they are.

Hi Kristy!:wave2:

They like vampires...where the heck is CS????? ;)

Actually, that Build a Bear idea is cute if there's one nearby...I guess at a mall...or is it in downtown San Jo? He could casually start building a bride or groom bear(if they have that sort of thing) and voila!!:)

If the weather's nice there're loads of cute restaurants around the downtown too...I remember an out of the way one with a large open courtyard and often live music...

I asked Nick where he'd ask if we were in San Jo now and he said up in the hills behind his parent's house...;)..so ..if he doesn't find a suitable locale...;)

I think there's something nice about the home...and the unexpected...he could get up at dawn, make her breakfast in bed and oh, by the way, (while both are still in jammies)...will ya marry me?;)

Kristy, sorry about your headache, but glad it is going away. I have to admit though, I throw more than one gutter ball a game... or sometimes even a frame :o

Lily, go treat yourself to ROTK. I do things like that often... I treated myself to Pirates 5 times I think :p

Sherry, I hope your DS has fun camping!

:wave2: Hi Von!

Hmmm... ideas for a proposal... let me think on that for a few... Luis wasn't too romantic with me ;)

RIght Jeannie, I am sure that you intentionally filled up that PM box so the sweet PM I had for you wouldn't go through ;) I'll work on that one again later :)

Okay you all have way too many good ideas!!!!!! Now I really have to give this real thought ;)

Hey all! :wave2:

Nancy, how exciting. The build-a-bear idea is cute. :) They like vampires? How about buying one of the Buffy the Vampire season DVD's and putting the ring inside the case? He could have her open up the case to put the DVD in the player and the ring could be right there on top of the DVD. :teeth:

:wave2:

I will pass along the restaurant idea.
I think going and checking in there after work and leaving the flowers at the restaurant would be good.
And actually asking there in front of everyone.....but he probably wouldn't do that  Hey, it might be good for a free meal or at least a round of applause ;)

Thye actually live in Sunnyvale. The only Build-a-Bear is in a mall is Santa Clara. I'm going to suggest he go there after work....get a bear (they have a special edition white bear with red hearts out now). Dress it.....they do have bride outfits (traditional ones, nothing like she's be apt to wear ;) ) and I think adding the voice box that is actually the propsal would be cute.....he could get an accessory (like a bouquet of flowers or something) and put the ring in it.

Keep the ideas coming! He needs as many options as possible. And then he will probably do nothing anyway! MEN!! ;)

I will suggest the Buffy idea too Sherry.....they like that show and I think they only have seasons 1-3 so far.

Nancy: there's also sets for Angel and Firefly if they are into those:)

From DBF via email,we actually saw someone propose at karaoke once

Zippit. I just logged in and am trying to ketchup and trying to read that mean person's reply on Liz's thread:mad:

Ooohhh Nancy how exciting! I'm liking all the ideas so far. Romance is always so memorable. Just as long as he is trying to make it special for them, it should be memorable for sure. They will be the only two in the world for that moment and as long as he knows that then there is nothing to worry about being embarrased. It doesn't have to be expensive; it would be nice to be romantic.

You know me too well...

Going with either Toshiba or Samsung...
Gonna wait til the carpet is down til we get the TV..

:scared: Todd just told me to Zippit!!!!

:p

Okay still drawing blanks here... you all have more romance in your little fingers than I do in my whole body I think :o

You guys crack me up!!!!

Todd, how is Amanda doing today? Hope all is well!!! {{{{{hugs}}}}} to you both!!!

Lilboo thanks for the very nice reply on the mean thread!!!!! My crutches are my newest fashion statement!! I did not have them for the big initiation dance. I am hoping to be rid of them soon. But I have a feeling they will be a permanant part of my wardrobe...just not on a permamnant basis. Did that make sense? In10 years I will have to have an ankle replacement and I am sure I will revisit the crutches sometime in betwwen now and then. I have at least a week left with crutches for now, but I have a feeling I will b on them for the month!! It is not so bad to use them in small doses. Last time I was on and off of them for three years....more on than off. With that, a month is tolerable!!!

It sure has been pretty quiet here!! Where is everybody?

Nancy, I love the build a bear idea!!! How sweet!!! Let us know how that goes!!

Where has Poohsanne been today?

Kristy, glad your headache is better and your CD's are nice and organized.

Von, did you make your special dinner yet?

Tara, glad you had fun at the wedding. Great pcs. I love that outfit. I may need some coaching on my Electric Slide moves with all this talk of weddings!!! Maybe we can incorporate that into the jammie party!!!

Hi Elaine, Deena, Kim, CS, Beth and Lily

I know I have forgot some...sorry!!

Well, we skipped the movie and got all of Christmas decorations down, packed up and put away. Got the storage room all re-organized too! Next project--the spare room where I do my sewing, ironing and crafts  Gonna be a mammoth undertaking! Sunday is clean sheets day and my bed is still naked, so I best get my rear in gear.

Nancy, I love all the neat ideas that have been offered for your DS's proposal!! Can't wait to hear if he does anything special!!

G'night, all!!! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} for everybody!!

evening everyone:D

Boards are real slow for me tonight so not even going to try for a real ketchup..sorry.

Tara love your pictures:D

Liz checked out your post and all I can say is that woman has some real issues...I think that Gail person has it in for her:eek:

Nancy I am excited for you..can't wait until tomorrow.

hello to everyone else:wave: sorry I missed you:D

Romance is just all over today. I took some of the home made chicken soup to by brother who has been sick. DH thought it would be nice of him to accompany me as it is bad driving today. Roads are trying to be icy.

Then I got a second opportunity and
Just got back from my evening romantic trip out today...
to the pharmacy. Sigh

DS #2 got up with headache at noon, went to work with it, came home was able to eat dinner. Said he still felt miserable, tried a shower for relief...nothing doing. So he asked if there was somewhere that he could be seen tonight. So DH took him to the local Doc-in-the-box. DH asked me if I would like to accompany him out to P/U scripts, of course I just jumped at the opportunity!

I am so glad that I/we didn't go to the movies or we would have missed out on all this togetherness. No really, I am glad to have been able to help both sick men in my life. Now for DS #1. Trying to convince him to see doctor too. I am making the appointment for him and then hope he will go to it.
Off to disinfect the premises some more. Trying not to get this both DH and me.

Hi everyone:wave2:

Liz--We are both doing fine....
MIL seemed to be doing better today..she made it to church with us...:D ..We will just have to make the best of the present..

No ideas right now in the romantic category...:(

I had a post deleted..
 ..I said the same thing as someone else...I didn't do a proper kecthup before my reply...:o ..
