Pam, you sneated in on me. We're having similar weather today. I just mostly got my sheet of ice driveway to melt thanks to the upper 20s/lower 30s weather we had (still below freezing but enough to get that stuff to mostly melt). Sure didn't last long though Not much along the lines of snow here... not sure if we are supposed to get it or not. Good luck dealing with it all!

Now Pammyla I do know what ice is. I have some in my DP as we speak Of which I may take outside with me (in my 50ish degree weather). Might I add no jacket needed . My DD only applied to one too She was confident.
And don't worry about the $$$ It all works out. Just don't try and do it all yourself....she can carry the loans.
DS's girlfriend is looking at 4 years of loans for law school at about $30,000 per if she gets into her first choice.

Nancy - thanks - I will try and relax. We have another one ready for college in 3 years - and being self-employed, that $530.00 per month health insurance sure takes a bite out of the budget!!

Yep ice outside (not in drinks ) really stinks! A couple of days ago I could barely get in my garage. I slowed down too much and lost momentum to get into the garage. So I backed straight up (slight downward hill so that was doable) and went faster and hoped I wouldn't miss the garage

Nancy, I liked your catch up there... lookie but no touchy! Oh and good luck to M'Cori on her loans!!!! That is the exact reason why an undergrad degree was good enough for me

Oh and a bit of a warning on Once Upon a Time... if you have seen Pulp Fiction, it's about that level for blood and stuff. The story line was so much better and I was cracking up, but it's a bit "over the top" with some things. Oh and it helps to watch Desperado shortly before... makes some things even funnier

Yeah Pam, I forgot to say, try not to worry too much... Finances find a way. Luis almost had to move back home, but some creative financing (all totally legal, just had to work the system) let him stay close to me. Took a bit of help from my dad and myself though. He was doing out of state tuition at a state college though so you could imagine what it was like. Also there are some nice payment plans that universities seem to offer. Not quite such a sticker shock. I'm sure it will all work out

Morning, ladies. I do believe the men are out getting stuff for the Roadkill cafe and B & B! Haven't seen Alan in weeks, and I know Todd's away til Friday (probably an excuse so that he can have a Direct TV marathon)

Pam, Congrats on DD getting into the school of her choice! My dad financed my 1st year of school, and I did student loans for the rest. Let me just say, when I was paying, the grades went up. As a result, any help my boys get will be like my employers tuition reimbursement program...100% for A or B, 50% for C.

Happy Birthday, Greg! I'd bake cake, Liz, but it won't get there in time! Also, the kitchen is sparkly clean, and I wanna leave it that way for a bit!

Lily, sure hope you're better quick. I just felt like it never went away and didn't know if the asthma was a factor. I also have this nasty problem of everything turning into bronchitis.

Okay, all, my guys really aren't blue, it's Kevin's favorite color.

Deena, Kevin's just like his daddy...tons of curly hair, but you see how Ed looks now! I think Ed gets traumatized every time I take Kevin for a haircut, so I sent them south w/o the usual trip to the barber.

Pam, I think those appeared overnight! They weren't there when I checked in at Midnight!

Well, more cleaning to do today, then when Neil gets home, we head down to Baltimore and go to IKEA before heading to the airport. I'm hoping the bookshelf (DVD cabinet for us) that they were out of two weeks ago is back in stock.

Wow Nancy hope that girl some grants for her law school stay. That is big bucks. My aunt and uncle to my oldest cousin through law school at Baylor here in Texas. Poor things, it was a lot of money. Now their dd is looking at med school. Its great but another big hit on the wallet.
Elaine any time you are sick of the snow and ice come on down!
I wonder how poor I will be when I have 2 in at the same time. Makes my head spin just thinking about it

Elaine and Pam, sounds like we all have the same kind of weather for today. Weatherman said the snow would be staying north of us, though. We just get the cold (shiver-shiver)!!

Pam, congrats on DD being accepted at UP!!! Many moons ago I got accepted on early-decision and never bothered applying elsewhere, either. Since parents only paid for 1 year and I was more interested in getting my MRS., I didn't go back till I was in my late 30s!!! Loved that employer assistance even if it was just the community college! Good luck with the financial aid--read everything very carefully! A grant that I had back in 1970 turned out to be a loan--we found out when it hit our credit report 17 years later and we were trying to buy a new car!!!!!

Really dh is the same way. Do you think when we bought a car that he ever opened his mouth?? No sir. He left it up to me to be be hard and work the guy over, lol. And did we get a good deal?? Okay chatty group here... quick catch up because I have a silly question...

If you were making spaghetti for a pot luck at work... when would you make the noodles? I can either make them tonight and put them in a big ziplock back in the fridge and put them in tomrrow morning or I can try to make them before I go to work. I am leaning towards tonight.
