Bethie, be careful out there tomorrow! I hope that they are able to salt the roads pefectly for you :)

Boo Hiss on the icy roads, Beth! :( WE had one heck on an ice storm on Friday! In fact, in the last 10 school days - school was cancelled for 5 of those days...:(

Good morning all! Nice cold & icy this morning. It's always amazing when I don't kill myself just getting inside the door ;)

LOL, Lily... that just struck me as really funny :p

Hi CS :wave2:

Pam, I am not sure that the halo is working, but it is at least on straight today ;) Might just be a decoy though :p Sounds like you all have gotten some really icky weather up there!!! Will the kids have to go to school later this year?

Well Nancy, we won't talk weddings then... I swear if I were to have to do it all over again, I'd elope :teeth:

Good morning Karen, I hope all goes well for you at the dentist with your DS.

Have a great day all!

Elaine - you have ice, too? We had a couple of inches of snow on Saturday, which gave us a coating to cover the ice so we could walk without slipping or sliding.... Yeah - we have added on an extra 3 days of school so far this year. Thankfully, DD gets to graduate on the already scheduled date.

Hope everyone has a day filled with :sunny: :chat:  :love2: and lots of :D :D :D :D :D :D :D !

Wedding costs!! Don't wanna hear it
I totally agree! The last wedding I was in was way too costly, both DH and I were in it. The bride was not thankful at all, which made it seem even worse to fork out the money:rolleyes:

Deena...hope you feel better soon. I know about Yukies hanging on, my antibiotics aren't helping:rolleyes: ....I did get my voice back, for the most part. I don't know that DH is happy about that;)

CS...wishing you a wonderful Valentine's day with DBF.

Karen...sending well wishes for the dentist trip.

By the way....who else never gets to rest on the weekends? I feel like I need to come to work to rest. Saturday we moved our recliner downstairs and other things. Then I went to my Dad's and had to get flowers for my Mom's grave. Then home to straighten up and babysit 3 children (1, 6, 8). Dinner time reminded me how cheap our grocery bill is. My girls, especially Mandy, don't eat a huge amount at meals. The kids Todd and I babysat were big eaters. Sunday was church, cemetary, out to eat, SAM's, home for about 40 minutes, then back to church. Once home baths for the girls then I could finally go to bed. My plans next weekend are to just see my Dad and rest. I know DH and I need some time.

Hope everyone else had a more relaxing weekend.

Morning!

Elaine, you got ice? Be careful out there. We didn't get anything. In fact, some of our snow is melting. :bounce:

Don't want to hear wedding cost talk. We are still recovering from BIL's wedding in August.

Will have to do a full ketchup later....gotta wake up the last 2 boys for school!! :wave2:

The things I do to go see this cute doc!! It is 6:30 and I have been up since 5, all in anticipation of seeing the man!! Ok not really I just couldn't sllep but it sounds good doesn't it? Anyway, a quick ketchup, then off to Indy! Karen, sorry to say...your map will have to wait till much later in the day...but I will squeeze it in for you!! Anything for a ya ya!!

Pammy, I was not at border patrol...that was Lily. I would giggle to if it was me......then I would cry, because if it was me, we all would still be there!!! :scared1: Of course I would blame you and then Elaine's halo would take a terrible slant, Bethie would come to the rescue but would end up doing a triple Klutz, Kristy would not notice because she would be writing a paper, Todd would be oblivious because he would be watching the on bus movie, Tara would be consumed in cheese frys, PoohSue would not have even made this trip as she was working overtime at the DS and planning one of her many trips to the World, Lily would be on the treadmill eating veggies, Rose Mary would be off working overtime somewhere on that bus while dreaming of getting her computer at home hooked up, Jeannie would be popping in and out randomly, Deena would be cleaning up and taking care of all the sickies, CS would be dreamng about her DBF, Bella would be amking out with somebody, Nancy would try to make sense of it all and discover life is just better with chocolate, Kimmy would be dreeaming about dork boy and bacon, Karen would be looking for her "other" pair of shoes...you know the ones that match the clean ones and who knows where anybody else would be???? Hey Tara, how is that for one very long, run on sentance? OK that is my atttempt at ketchup this morning. Hope all is well with all of you!! Off to shower, pretty up and then the cute doc!!!

Hugs!!

Pam, all the ice we have around here is from the snow & ice that we had last week that melted... most of the roads were okay (as long as you weren't too close to the curb, but the parking lots aren't that good. WE are suppposed to warm up today so hopefully when it melts it will go away and not freeze again ;)

Amanda, sometimes I feel like that on weekends! There are times I have really looked forward to going back to work because I could relax more.

Sherry, good luck getting the boys ready for school! Oh and one other thing I forgot with the ice... with some of our rain we've had flooding and then it froze so we seem to be in bad shape with this flooding stuff. As soon as some of the stuff melts, we get streets totally flooded. I even avoided one that would have been quicker this morning because based on how it was during the warmer temps, it would have been a total sheet of ice

Liz, have fun at your doc!!! Do we have an award for the longest run on sentence??? ;) Nicely done though :teeth:

Okay really should get back to work... need caffeine though I think.

Mornin, all!

I figured I better pop in and say howdy do, since I doubt I'll be anywhere near this thing tonight. That is, I'll be packing it for the trip. It'll be weird with two ladies, two laptops!

Sounds like everyone had busy weekends! We had a wonderful time at the neighbors, she made a shellfish pasta (yummy) and the fondue turned out better than I expected. I mixed three chocolates (semi sweet, special dark and a hunk of my favorite, Scharffen Berger) and WOW!

CS, glad you will see your honey for this weekend.

Bethie, no lutzes, okay? Ed tried to do one last week, and now there's a huge outline of his wallet on his butt. Big and purple. Go see Miracle, and you'll learn hockey moves, LOL!

Nancy and Lainey, don't know about those high wedding costs...did two weddings, each cost less than 3 grand. Loved the planning and people had fun, that was the important part. The next wedding, DH is in...the most expensive thing will be the airfare to California, but we'll finally get to go to Disney land!

Amanda, you need a weekend to rest from that weekend!

I don't know who mentioned chocolate dipped roadkill, but I'm not letting that stuff near my lovely chocolate!!!!

someone sneated on me, I can see the email telling me I have a new message to read, LOL!

Elaine, the Berenger White Zinf is my favorite, but that's because it is the tiniest bit sweet. Their White Merlot is great, too, but it's a lot dryer.

Lily, what a story! It'll be an embarrassment for the rest of her days, LOL!

Liz, I wish it was OT, but not getting much of that these days. You're right, I probably would be planning another trip! Can't go on a trip without another one planned, even when DH doesn't know about it, woo hoo!

Off to wake up BooBoo and get into work. Then home tonight for packing!

Suzanne

PACKING!!!! Yes, I am all ready to go!!! It makes me feel so good to be packed.....now like everyone else, you all can think I am crazy!!! My family thinks I am NUTS!!!!! But, it was all my summer clothes!!!!

:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

And my counter says when I will be at Disney...I actually leave 10 days earlier for Florida...so there!!!!!!

Morning all!

First thing is PD and prayers going out for Nancy's DH! Hope all goes well at his throat scan today.

We finally had our cable hooked up yesterday and DH's computer, of course  . So he and the DS were playing games and I didn't get a chance to get online. But, at least we have a computer in the house.

Sounds like some had pretty busy weekends and others were trying to stay out of trouble.

Ok, I must get to work. Been playing ketch up far too long.

More after.........................

I forgot to tell you...someone better take Shep's temp, he has decided to postpone Disney this year. If we don't go this year then we will have to wait two more years since next year is our 10yr anniversary cruise. I think he changes his mind at times just to keep me on my toes. The new plan is either Michigan for a week or 1/2 Michigan and 1/2 Niagra Falls. Liz, we didn't get to talk about Chicago...have you soon what my weekend was like. I was lucky to get 2 words with him. Oh...the one thing I did agree to is that before Mandy is in 6th grade we will take one trip during the school year, right after Thanksgiving. This is as long as both her and Cassie are okay gradewise to miss some school.

Sherry...you got to boys off to school yet????

Suzanne...the fondue sounds wonderful. You can keep the shellfish pasta, I don't eat anything that comes out of the water:rolleyes:

Nancy...prayers for your DH today.

Can you tell that my boss is in China?:bounce: :Pinkbounc
