Deena sneated!

Well, I just got the call...."Don't cancel any plans....." but I am not gonna believe it till I see Greg in Disney on the 18th. I am still going ot Florida I guess, with or without him. If you read about somebody killing their mom in Ft. Myers Florida....it is probably me. Especially if Greg does not meet me in Disney...that means I will have to endure another 4 days with the family!!!!!!! Please promise to send Yankee Candles, and choclate whilst I am in jail!!!!

Nancy, of course we want to see the sparkly!!! Unless you jsut can't bear to take it off your finger to snap a picture!!!

Sherry enjoy your break!! Sounds like you might be able to enjoy the next couple of days!!:teeth:

Elaine, hope your yuckies go away soon. I have the same yuckies here!!! Maybe we need to clean and disinfect the B&B again!!!! Feel better!!!

Todd, what do you mean you don't play in the mud? Are you a ::MickeyMo or a man? LOL!!!! I don't blame you, I would not want to play in the mud either!!! Did you get your tape?

Lily, the Birthday festivities sound like a great time!! The cake sounds delish....Tell Roderic I send a very happy birthday wish his way! I second that you certainly do not look old enough to have a soon that old either!!! Enjoy the party!! And in the event I don't make it over for cake and ice cream...please have some for me!!!

Hi Rose Mary! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. I would love to spend the weekend at Disney...especially at a nice slow pace. I have yet to really see Animal Kingdom so if I end up doing Disney solo....you better know I am gonna call you!!!!!

Tina, enjoy the time with your mom!! I hope you two get along better than me and my mom do!!! I hope you have a great time. I am certainly gonna try to as well!! ::yes::

Well all, that is the news here!! Hop e all is well and ihave not forgotten anybody!!!

Hugs and hapiness to all!!!

:wave2:

How can you compete with the "Great Liz ketch-up?" It's always
hard to follow an act like that.

Happy B'day to Roderic! Any cake and ice cream left? :( I had to go do laundry.

Tina I hope you have a great visit with your mom.

Liz-You better give me a call! Can't remember what your Fl. dates are but, hopefully they won't be during my "blackout" dates. Hopefully, all will work well and Greg will be there ;) .
I just don't know that I am up to another Animal Kingdom day for a while.

Deena- Did ya' get that stuff picked up for the boys & girls home? Wish I were there, I would have come and helped you.

Elaine-How's the new bed? Have you got your room all arranged the way you want it. When things get settled down around here
 I'm gonna look for some new L/R furniture. I really want one of those big chair and a half thingies. Something to just sink into and relax and read a good book in.

Kristy-How are those pics coming? I'm so ashamed all my pics are in a box :( . But, when things settle down..........................
Yeah right!

 Beth, how's the T-shirts coming?

Shep did ya ever get to go play in the yard? Probably still too wet huh? Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Sherry has some time off Yippee!! Sorry to hear about your DH's dilemma. Hopefully, he will be all fixed up real soon.

Ok, off to do something constructive. Hope I didn't forget anyone.

Man, I was all motivated earlier. I did laundry, some other such stuff around the house, biked for half my normal time and then I did a great catch up with the Angels... I get here and I start to deflate. So should I be all pathetic and just say hi to everyone or give it a shot?

I agree with Sherry, Deena, sounds liek a great place to donate to!!!

Sherry, get those taxes done asap so you can just relax and play :teeth:

Liz, great catch up there!!!! Yuckies will come and go for a while. I am taking Zicam and that usually seems to help me. Actually I should probably take extra Zinc to help something heal too. Getting the usual icky looking things so at least I knwo it is trying to heal up good :) Glad to hear that your trip seems like it is on still. And if you are in jail, I'll be sure to send ya stuff ;)

Rose Mary, another great catch up!!! The new bed is wonderful, thank you! I finally just got the setting that is perfect for me last night! Takes a few nights and with the different padding, this one was off from the other one. I have it more firm beneath. Room isn't organized yet though. Good luck shopping for that furnature though! WE have one of those chairs and I love it! I admit though I love my chaise even more! You could always come and visit to try ours out to see which you prefer ;)

Well there I tried I hope it was okay. I need to check on the dryer, yank out clothes for tomorrow to wear and then go to sleep.

As our old friend Wagamama might say: "Hey yo-yos!"

Anyone miss me?;) I had to run down to NY on some family business at the last minute and haven't been online for ages! I'll have to read the RoseMary and Liz ketchups to even semi-ketchup :o...

While I'm here, let me ask everyone....I'm looking at some sample wedding registries and I'm a little overwhelmed at what is needed "set up house" (no, Pam...I don't think Crate and Barrel carries fox traps :)..) so I had a couple of questions for the Yaya master homemakers...

Is a Kitchen-Aid Stand mixer really useful? WHat do you use it for? Is it that much better than a hand-held...$200 better?

I was thinking a Cuisinart Food Processor or even a mini-prep might be more useful...what do you think?

I feel a little grabby and greedy whenever I start even trying to compile a list of items for the registry ...I suppose I'll get over it.;)

What are some of the most useful and/or treasured things you have received as wedding gifts ?:)

On another topic ...I thought last week's survivor picked up a little...I thought Jerri played very well.:)

Spring is on its way!!:hyper:

Evening ladies and bothers!

It was really nice here today, so the mall was deserted...I hate that. I just hope next weekend is nice, because I now have it off. Yay me!

Boo, I have the KitchenAid stand mixer, the food processor and now the professional blender. If you really cook, they're rock solid. I am seriously into cooking and baking, and that stand mixer is the BEST when I'm in cookie making mode. It does it all and my wrists aren't in agony the next day (that always happened before hubby bought the mixer). Mini preps are good for chopping and small jobs. My kitchenaid has the 11 cup bowl and then a 5 cup insert bowl. I love the versatility. Feel free to ask anything about kitchen gadgets, I have almost everything-the new gadget we want is a mini deep fryer.

Rosemary, Sounds like your family is great to hang out with! I'd love to hear the stories of Ireland and Australia. AK in the cold means more animals to see on the safari, right?

Lainey, glad you're on the mend. Your bed sounds like a select comfort.

Happy Birthday Roderic!

Liz, crossing my fingers for you, girlie. You really need this trip.

Sherry, enjoy your two days of freedom.

Nancy, new kitty? Name, breed, details. I can't have kitties and prefer dogs, but love hearing about other peoples furbabies.

Ok, the furniture. Got a cream colored leather loveseat, sofa and chair. Somewhat contemporary, not too much so. I would have preferred natural leather, but that would take 16-20 weeks, and we're leaving in 16 weeks! I'd always had in my head denim furniture with cream/latte walls, now it'll just be denim colored walls with cream furniture!

Got a package from one of the apartment complexes in Clermont today with floor plans. Wow, 850 a month for a huge apartment...about a third less than around here. It will be strange to pay rent for a year, though.

Gotta go, someone is whining that I'm not in watching American Chopper with him!

Suzanne

Time to start thinking of a new name for our next home?

Suzanne

 Morning! Must get off my lazy rear and get ready for work but, just wanted to pop in and say HI while the caffeine is kicking in.

:wave2: Jeannie! Welcome back! Let's see wedding registry stuff, hm? There is so much neat new stuff out there. We just had a mini shower for a girl at work and she got some neat stuff.
As far as the kitchen aid stand mixer, I have one and love it! But, depends on home much you bake or what type cooking you do. If you don't bake much but, do more meal preparation a food processor might be better. The one thing I still have, from my 1st marriage, and cherish is a big stoneware casserole dish with shamrocks. I could have used more sheets, towels & linens.

OK, guess I better get to it. More later.

:sunny:

Morning!

HI JEANNIE!!! I've missed you!!!
Don't know anything about the Kitchen Aid mixer...not a baker. I did have a food processor and that was pretty cool.
I agree with Rose Mary......lots of towels!!

Kristy, glad you enjoyed the concert. :bounce:

I think I'm gonna go back to bed after the boys leave. I haven't really slept in in weeks!! I could use the extra sleep. :teeth:

Good morning everyone... a little sleepy today but hopefully will make it through the day ;)

Jeannie, of course we missed ya!!!! You bring a ray of sunshine to the group :teeth: I have a beautiful kitchen aid stand mixer that I wouldn't trade for the world!!!!! I can make bread, 8 pounds of mashed potatoes, cakes, flan... you name it and I can make it!!!! It really comes in handy for bread making and for whipped potatos... it is a work horse that no other mixer I have ever used can compare with. Now food processors are nice to have, but truthfully that is one where I don't know if I'd spend the money on a Cuisinart. I have a different brand and I think it works great. My honest favorite thing I received was the money for the mixer ;) Beyond that, my crystal dishes/glassware is my favorite. Silly I know.

Suzanne, I do have a Select Comfort bed... love it to death! It is a replacement for a queen size we had before. Should have gone for a king but we didn't so now 3 years later we are doing this again  Your furniture sounds wonderful though!!! And that rent sounds nice!!

Oh I said it before and no one noticed our next home (I'm lazy and do 1st runner up for the next home after a vote)... we will have our own resort at an amusement park (hinted at WDW). Sooooooo.... we need to think of good theming for this resort :teeth:

Kristy, you have me so excited... a week from tomorrow I will be seeing them!!! How long was the total concert and how long did he sing for?

Good morning Rose Mary!! I hope your day is a good one!!!!

Sleep well Sherry :teeth:

Stupid story... yesterday I went out and bought shoes that I needed. Well, I go to pay and realize I left my credit card in my pocket after getting gas (they don't like you to put things back in your car while gassing in the winter especially). So I pull out my check card, and it was expired last November!!! Mind you I have been using it every month or so as an ATM since. So I get to write a check. But how stupid is that? It expired and they never sent me a new card

Anywho, have a great day all!

WHAT??!!! :o Jeannie was MIA for a week or so??

Hmmmm...... never even noticed..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................;)

:wave2: Thanks Elaine. I'm very sleepy today for some reason.
Thought I got plenty of sleep but, guess not! :(

 Pam! Be Nice.........................

I hope the caffeine sinks in quickly... I too thought I got enough sleep... guess not. I suppose caffeine intake will be needed!

Whatever happened to Kim ?
She doesn't visit much..

And where's Jay been?

KIMMIE!!!!!!!!!!! WE MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:teeth:

Yes I am picking on her, and she will know what I am up to ;)

Not sure where Jay has been... haven't seen/heard anything about him in a month or two.

Morning Shep! I was wondering about Jay myself. I mentioned
Krystal a while back and thought for sure he would come out of the woodwork. Then someone mentioned the Nekkid dance, and still no Jay. If you are out there lurking, hope all is well Jay!

What about Betty she hasn't been around in a while either. Was at K B Toys this weekend and saw a Betty Sketti doll. Almost picked one up for her. :p

Darn it! I was falling asleep on the sofa while the boys were getting ready for school, and now that they are all gone, I can't sleep.

Jay was on the Song Titles game thread yesterday. :)

Hi Rosemary..:wave2:

Haven't seen Bonnie or Jodie in awhile either...
