Morning all, I feel really yucky from the bronchitis, but

ED STARTS WORK SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! He went to drop all the paperwork off and the guy got him in.

Makes up for the lies Cingular told me. when I renewed on 8/2, the rep said seven days to cut the check to return my deposit and it would show in 10-14 days. Then on 8/19, I was told my old AT&T/Cingular statement generated on 8/20 and it would be 2-4 weeks. Got a statement Saturday that showed July's bill on the AT&T/Cingular side and a credit of $357. Called to find out what the deal was-I have to wait until the END of that billing cycle, then another 2-4 weeks. Needless to say, I am going back to T-mobile today or tomorrow. I am so DONE with Cingular. I thought that when I renewed I wouldn't get any of the "Oh, you need to go over to the AT&T, we don't handle that" garbage. Arrrgggggghhhhhhhh.

Yep, I've lost my voice. Thanks to Cingular, I'm still waiting for $$, so I'm going to ride this one out with the cough medicine I have-not that I could get in to a doctor down here today, anyway!

All of this kvetching makes me realize we need a little black rain cloud smilie, with the yellow dude getting rained on. That's the way I feel today.

Doctors appts...that reminded me I need to make an appt with the GYN. Thanks to the DIS, I found out about a procedure that would really help. It won't be fun to do, but it will avoid having something taken out. Which I really can't do, since I can't go on HRT.

Anyways, need to get cracking and off to work. I'm heading in early today to get the layout of the back of the store. I understand we have a closet sized stockroom.

Karen, you won't see me Thanksgiving weekend. I end up living at the mall-the price of being a manager in retail. I *might* have Sunday off, but I would think you'd be heading back home by then. We're still in the air about Turkey day-if Ed's family isn't here yet, we'll be at Mom's. If they are, we are hoping to get everyone here.

Off I go, gotta get moving. I won't take the cough medicine anytime close to driving, so if I head out now, I can have a dose when I get there, then another at dinner.

The PK rally was very good, but the men from LA and MS left early on Saturday. You can either sit around and talk about being a better husband and father or you can go home and be with your family to prepare for a hurricane.

Speaking of which, we are doing well in Central Alabama. I have not heard from my family in South Alabama but I assume they are somewhere safe. Continue to pray for the folks in LA and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Meh on CRT, I'll keep trying to get someone to see her that week. We'll do the day by day thing now and see.

LOL, Alan... I think he's more biker than he is "prep boy"... it's his mama that really puts him in outfits like that. I like both "bad boys" and very "clean cut boys" Kind of strange I know, but Luis claims that I dress Lito like he is in that pic because it's the ohter half that I go for that I don't get

Anywho... quiet night here... we're under a flood watch until Wedsnesday night. Combination of two different storms coming through (the latter being Katrina), so it looks like we are getting the much needed rain... and then some

Long day back at school. Have a beginning of school headache. Going to bed so I can go to gym at 6 tomorrow am yuck!

We have CRT!!!!! So I will be happy. I learned a lot about getting ressies this week there, and how some family sizes are worse than others... and oh well, we're going that's all that matters.

Cute coat Nancy! Luis pointed it out to me and said Lissa needed it. If it weren't pink, I would've gotten it. I know Larissa has some pink, but I try to get more that isn't. I saw some cute winter coats online. Lito has his jacket, but they might need more as it gets towards winter

Suzanne, so sorry about the sleeping. Have you tried sleeping propped up in bed with a bunch of pillows? I've had to do that before. Hope you do feel better soon.

I'm tired... haven't slept well lately so I am going back to bed See y'all later

We were able to get lunch ressies at CRT this morning too!

My family in South Alabama are doing okay. My brother is back in his home (he left during the storm) because he has a generator there. My parents are staying with a friend who has a generator also.

Lots of debris and trees down but no real damage. Unfortunately, Mississippi and Louisiana were not so fortunate.

As for BaB coats... there was a cute little "sherpa" coat they had, and I saw the most adorable hoodie that I think Lito will need I could drop way too much money at that store
