Finally Ethan is feeling better!!! woofreakinghoo! This morning made 24 hours without a fever. So what does his dork of a mother decide to do??? She says let's go to Water Country (a water theme park). The high was 83 and the humidity was low. But he was a trooper. We only stayed about 4 hours and he got to play in the pools. He wasn't as crazy about it as I thought he would be, but then again he is just getting over being sick! duh! mom! I think I need to read the owners manual on kids again and see what I missed!!

We came home and I went bowling. My team was in 29th place oout of 30!! heheh not to bad eh? Then I stayed with Astrid and a friend and we bowled 3 more games...so all totaled I bowled 6 games tonight. So I'm pooped!!

So I hope everyone feeling yucky feels better!!

I'm off to get my hair done tomorrow and finsih the school shopping! Have a good day all!!

Off to work in a few-on line bill pay is great, I can pay the bills before going to work.

Got the weekend off, and probably will be around and about. I'll check in tonight...costume party on the upper deck tonight! You still have to wear the standard white undergarments under those costumes!

Hi everyone - the work stress of the week is finally subsiding - I am definitely not happy with the outcome. Have come to realize that office politics always prevails.

Hubby has been cranky all week too- I'm thinking that he is either mad at me for putting up with all the work stuff (last night he ever so nicely said "it's time you got a real job and made real money" - great for the ego..... or.....he is stressed about Alyssa leaving and of course can't communicate that......

Speaking of which - 1 week from today we will be on the road bringing her to college. She has not finished shopping or even started packing.....now I should be putting on a very brave face at this point and saying "It's not my problem" ....but then I owuld be lying and I would never lie to all of you !!

Christopher went to his first concert last night - Finch - alternative rock I think - it was an outdoor concert sponsored by a local radio station. Things have been "hot and cold" with him - I made him start taking his meds again - he's a bit easier to get along with but now he's not sleeping again - he has his yearly check up in a few weeks so we will discuss that with his doctor - he hs previously been on Ambien (not good - he was totally out of it) and Valium - that worked ok.

Elaine - hope the allergies are getting better
Nancy - stop painting and bake some cookies!!
JR Karen - so glad to hear that the last test results were negative.
Tara - hurray that Ethan is feeling better
Sherry - good luck to you and Jonathan with orientation and by the way - it's just the kids aging - not us!!

JRKaren, good news about the test. Whatever it was, I hope it is gone and done with forever! Multitasking. You are talented!

Paula, hope you can get through these next days in one piece. Lots doing for sure. Take lots of pics as you prepare DD for her first day. Memorializing it is oh such fun! I can see it now...the album with the Walmart pics where Mom is holding up the necessary standard white undergarments and the caption of something like "They must be regulation you know!"

Tara, sounds like the bowling thing is the way I bowl. I so enjoy that others can race to be in last place as I would be. Six games! Wow! I don't think I could last. Still hope Ethan is doing great today. I'm sure he fared well yesterday. Young kids can sleep it off anywhere. Lucky them.

Sherry, so you're an old one now huh? Wait, the fun is just beginning! Sorry ya can't play with us as much these days. Enjoy that dimpled baby boy. Come when ya can.

Nancy, have you begun to enjoy your painting yet? I don't think I would enjoy it if it were me.

It was such a busy day for me yesterday. I got lots done at work though, but still lots to do. I helped DS set up his banking on Quicken, but we ran out of time to complete the task. It was kinda late by the time I came up for air so I read a bit in the second book of the Mitford Years Series and called it a done night.

Whew!! I finally made it! Seems the work computer had a little problem and needed a little tinkering. Couldn't seem to get into any of my regular websites without it timing out on me. Luke ran the cgywin setup thingie and things seem to be back to normal. With all the talk on the news about the new worms out there, I was worried because I have the only Windows machine in the office and it's Win2000. Although I DID do the update, as recommended. Between that and our firewall and heaven-knows what other security stuff we have, it appears to be un-infected.

Yay for the normal test results, Karen!! Maybe those symptoms you had were just a freak occurence, related to sunspots or some rare weather combination or some such. Ya just never know, sometimes. Here's hoping they never come back and all is well in Jellybean land!

Paula. Sorry work has been such a problem for you and you've been so stressed. Sounds like DH just can't find the right words, for sure. Can't be easy for him to let his princess go off on her own and I'm sure those emotions are having some effect on how he sees your situation, as well. Chris and his meds/job/school just add to the mix to keep ya'll on edge, too. I'm keeping it all in prayer for ya and sending lots of hugs and

Glad you were able to fit your baking into your painting schedule. I suppose your DH knew he would have any cookies to take to work if he didn't give you time off to make them!!

Aww, Lily! I'm so sorry things don't look good for you to join us at the scrap meet. I'm workin' on a big surprise in that area, too!! Glad to hear you are getting thru things at work, though. Sometimes it seems like we can never catch up, I know. Hope you'll at least get the weekend off!

So, our numbers have really dropped for the scrap meet--just Tara and her friend Astrid for sure. Our missing Ya Ya has declared there is no way she can fund a trip at this time and our newest Ya Ya has turned up missing, too! Where are you, Lisa??!!!! Hope we didn't scare you off--we aren't really dangerous, I swear!!

How about you, Kristy? Have you got things worked out so you can come scrap for the weekend? I'm available if ya want a roomie--maybe we can get adjoining rooms with Tara and Astrid so we can stay up half the night just like the kids do at THEIR sleepovers! Hope work isn't bogging you down too much. If the commute wasn't so long, I might volunteer to come be your admin while my bosses are out of town. It's toooo quiet here when they're gone!

I've been delaying the inevitable this week....I'm not going to be able to make it to the scrap meet. Derek confirmed yesterday that we got tickets to the Bristol TN NASCAR race next week. Unfortunately the money just isn't there to do both trips. Sorry y'all!
