We topper addicts have to look out for each other-Jill pointed out the umbrella to me. Trying to gather a few items to purchase on payday, lol!

Suzanne

Thanks for the heads up, Suzanne. My catalogs must be behind....I got one 2 days ago and those weren't in it.
I ordered toppers, 2 umbrellas and 2 shirts.

Morning all!

Remember, I love my husband... and I like him to help me out with things sometimes, but why oh why does every time touches my computer something doesn't work right after

vent done ;)

I must have missed something too... what surgery Tara? I hope you do feel better soon!

I think I am going to have to look online. Those sweatshirts are cute ::yes::

I think I'll be baking cookies today for tomorrow. I would normally do them tomorrow, but some other friends are stopping by during the day. My other group of friends would shoot me if I didn't make those cookies too :teeth:

Morning Ya Yas!

Nancy, hope you find a way to enjoy the “You” time. Yay for getting your Feb flight. I must do that for us this weekend. Got the final commitment from DS#1 that he will join us in January!

Beth, yay for getting off work and working at home.

Tara, PD to you for your not feeling well. Hope you get well in time for your procedure next week. Also hope that whatever you are facing surgically will be a quick recovery.

Alan, sorry about that shin splints issue. I found that shoes are really important. Hope this doesn’t set her back too much with the training. Your other post was really precious. I enjoyed reading of your experience.

Karen, glad to hear that your generator is up and running and that some things are improving at least a bit. Bravo to you for making the best of things.

Suzanne, hope you get the time you need for you now.

Elaine, congrats on the bargains! Yes, you must share those cookies with all!

JRKaren, hi!

The pic of the shirt with toppers is cute. Clever.

Ted arrived safely, two days of driving and he was tired. He said that the news reports did not do anything to accurately describe things; the massive destruction is apparently breathtaking. He only sees that which remains and the beginnings of reparations. He has drawn the midnight shift. He said last night that there is an alligator that comes around each night at about 9:30 to collect its kickbacks. I told Ted to make sure he doesn’t cheat that old alligator. I don’t want him missing any parts when he returns to me.

Feeble ketchup.....

Suzanne -- gigantic :grouphug: Ahhhh family - gotta love them -- or then again, maybe not.

Congratulations on the Mod position, Lily! :) You need one of those Mogo pillows to sleep with until Ted comes home -- or your Teddy stuffed animal!

Tiara - what a lousy hookey day, huh? :guilty: Hope you feel better and I'm with Nancy.... what's this about surgery???? The Ya Yas have started an emergency Tiara Haircoloring Fund. We think you'll need it because Jar is definitely going to cause lots and lots of gray hair for you! :rotfl: (We laughing with you baby, not at you!!) And we're really not laughing - what a little pistol he is! Been there, done that -- Dan did a Xena Warrior Princess yell and flip off the couch when he was Jar's age. Problem was that he didn't end up back on his feet on the ground, he bounced his head off the coffee table and gashed the forehead really bad. Didn't need stitches -- but was very close to it.

Elaine - nice wedding pics! And hubba-hubba on the stud muffin husband. Who needs Craigey-poo when you have that at home!

Alan - you are a prince among all men! OUCH to poor Rebecca's shins!

Nancy - you will enjoy this, I am fixing Autumn a little Disney Princess Christmas tree for her apartment. I bought a lot of stuff at WalMart and Target. Today I found some great things online at the Disney Store.

Beth - you sound so incredibly busy - yet so incredibly happy with your job! :cheer2:

John - love the Homecoming pics of your teens! Sue did a great job creating a photo backdrop!

Got the PC back up and running - yes, Tara - the UPS Man infected me! :rotfl2: The cad..... didn't even say thanks when he was done!!

Hang in there, Karen. I really hope you get your power restored very soon!

Now we have to work on resolving the website issue - can you believe that NO ONE from Tech Service returned DD's call of last Sunday? And since she was at college and I know nothing about websites - I didn't call and yell at them!

I'm making real progress on my Christmas shopping. The skis and ski boots are about the only things I have left to get. And the kids are going to have to go to get those sized.

And finally, just for JRKaren ---

Good morning gang,

ACK, I forgot I hadn't mentioned the surgery to you all. It's no big deal...one of those tmi girly things. The problem is it can't be done in the office, i have to be knocked out and then get good drugs for pain. He said that if I have it done on a Friday, I'd be back to work by monday. I have to be at the hospital at 6am friday (yuck!) and I should be home by 10 or 1030. Now I just have to get someone to pick me up that day!! Anyone, want to come get me :rotfl: I can see my mom coming in with spidey and the "screamer"!! hehe

I feel a wee bit better today. I don't have much of a voice. This didn't used to be a problem because I didn't need my voice. Now I have to have it.

I came in today to find out that my schizophrenic student lost it yesterday, she smashed her glasses, and then ran away. Thank goodness the assistant was able to find her (she was hiding under a staircase) and take her to an administrator. I have no idea who actually caused her to lose it, but I intend to find out today and punish them!!

Nancy...I'm glad you put up those pictures of the topper sweatshirts. I had seen those in the catalog and wondered what the heck they were (I guess I didn't read the descriptions)

Pam...what a cad that UPS man!! Do I need to share my drugs with you???

Karen...hmmpf! I thought you wanted my left over cans of food!!! :teeth: hehehe At least pudding tastes better.

Elaine...feel free to send cookies my way!! I was supposed to weigh this week but as bad as I was feeling I decided to skip it...didn't want to infect anyone else!

JRKaren.... I'm getting my allergy meds all ready for the Jellyrolls meet!! Don't want to sit in there and sneeze all night!!

Okay, students need me! ugh! I'll be back to play later. Oh, I'm going to Tropical Smoothie for a wrap for lunch...anyone need anything!!

tara

Good morning.

Yay....for cookie baking, Elaine. The ones I made this week must have been a big hit. I got e-mail asking for the recipe and saying they were the best ever and that everyone was raving about them :teeth: Always nice to get positive feedback.

Glad the PC is going, Pam....wanna go help Christin with hers?
:bounce: for almost done shopping. I have no idea what to get my two guys. Everyone else is mostly done.

Tara....ick, kind of procedure :( Hate those.
Poor girl at school :(
You don't want to hear all the stories with Geoff :rotfl:

Lily....Glad Ted is there and settled in.....kind of. Yes, keep that gator happy.
I always have me days ;) I can arrange my scedule anyway I want :rotfl: I just have a couple me evenings now. I control the remote :teeth:
I spent a ton of $$ while Dave was gone :teeth: Booked air, ordered from Disney, other orders for Christmas presents. Think I will do more today too ;) And got Cirque tickets for May :bounce: So glad they are coming back here.

:wave2: Karen.

Anyone else not getting their e-mail notifications? :(
I won't know until I get home from school. If I stay online and keep hitting refresh then I usually end up with 30 or 40 emails when I get home. If its not workign then it will be easy for me to go through my email.

Geez, now they want me to work. ack!!!

tara

I've had issues with the DIS in general lately. I haven't relied on e-mails in ages. Though in my user CP the threads aren't showing up as with new messages like they used to.

:wave2: Hi Karen!

Lily, glad to hear that Ted made it safely! I do hope all is well for him down there... and that the alligator remains full ;)

Pam, good luck with the tech support. I have mixed feelings on those types anyway :p Oh and yep, dont' need Craigy-poo... though I will be seeing him next Tuesday. Not sure what I'll have him do.

Tara, good luck with your surgery and I hope your recovery will go well

Nancy, what cookies did you make this week?

I am pooped fro some reason. I am not sure I slept well last night at all. Might be time for a nap. I think allergy season is in high gear for me so I am not breathing as well

Good morning y'all!

I finally got pics of Mrs. AA and Pilot. I started a thread with 2 of them, but there are a few more here

Morning All,

Dh and I are both home today. Doing some stuff around the house to get ready for the electrician whenever he can get to us. I still havent heard from him about the estimate so as far as I know he hasnt even been out to look at it yet. We all have clean clothes!! Thankfully things are drying pretty fast on the line. The word came this morning that the kids start back to school on Monday. I know my youngests school does have power. Not sure about the eldests school yet. Drove my neighbor to work this morning and he wants dh and I to stop in this afternoon. He is a massage therapist and said he would give both dh and I a massage as both of us are in pain due to clearing out the yard of hurricane debris and all. Dh and I were both pleasantly surprised this morning about how efficient the generator is. It ran for about eight hours yesterday and only used about 3 gallons of gas and we were running the washer and some other stuff on it. Its much more efficient than dh thought it would be. Our favorite restaurant is up and running so I think dh and the kids and I are going to go out to dinner tonight. I plan on having a fishbowl margarita!!! LOL!!

Tara I hope the recovery from your surgery is very quick and as painless as possible. LOL I wouldnt mind anything in a can that isnt spagettios, spam, or vienna sausages ROFL!!!!

Elaine that is the exact reason I dont let dh do anything on my computer except check his email or use the office products I have on here LOL!!! One time he went to clean my cache and ended up clearing my hard drive!!! Yummmmmmm cookies!! Can I come over for some?

Yikes Lily an alligator??? Can they get someone to come get that thing?? They scare the heck out of me. I know the damage and destruction we have here I can only imagine the distruction up there. I hope the time passes quickly for you and Ted is home with you safe and sound.

Pam Im glad your computer is up and running well now. Did UPS come out yet to reinstall?

Well I think Im gonna go hunt for something to have for breakfast that isnt a poptart LOL!!! Chocolate pudding sounds good LOL!!! Then I have to get back to working on the house. I will checkin laters.

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:

Alan you have a very cute addition to your family! I cannot wait to meet her :)

Karen, good luck with all the power stuff at home. cant' be fun! That's why I am very glad my dad knows what he is doing with that kind of stuff

I think I fixed teh computer issues. I have had trouble with this desktop (hand me down from Luis actually) and so he thought he would look at it. I'm grateful for his help, but so hate it when he does things. He is an amazing IT guy, but I swear you put him down infront of my computer and something gets messed up. No idea why as he never does that kind of thing at work ;)

:wave2: Quick check in, no time for ketch up. Hope all are well. I was in Key West for 5 days and now in Miami. Never seen so many crazy drivers, or horns honking and everything takes "45" minutes to get there from here, LOL.

Take care.

:grouphug: puckerup: :rose:

:wave2: Howdy Rose Mary! Hope all isn't too bad with you with work!

Yeah, those big city drivers can be a royal PITA!!!

Thanks for sharing pictures, Alan. Always love to see them. Cute dog :dog:

Okay the heat is now on for good :cold: :(
It is raining and nasty out.
Going to go get my slippers on and get some soup for lunch.
