Hi All! Wanna post quick before I get kicked off again. Tried to ketch-up but you are a yacky bunch of Yaya's, so now I have no time. Have to pack to head out after work tomorrow to go visit my 'sis for the NY. I'm looking forward to it.

Glad all the sickies are getting better. Lots and lots of PD and prayers that everyone gets completely better for the New Year.

Probably won't be back until next year. So:
Have a very Happy New Year! puckerup: :grouphug: :rose:

Morning Ya Yas!

Oh my someone was streaking through here. Wonder who that gorgeous Ya Ya was? Hmmm
:teleport:
Oh and RM was rushing after it seems another beauty off to have a great weekend!
:teleport:

Elaine, Yay! for OSU!
:D
I'll be here. NYE is not a time I have ever desired to venture out.

Off to begin my work half day.

Good morning Ya Yas!

Someone at work is changing to a different shift, and the rest of his group got him ice cream cake as a farewell. After some experimentation, I can now say with certainty that ice cream cake does not match well with tooth paste. Time to find a cup of water to wash the taste out of my mouth.

Have a good morning, everyone!

Morning Everyone!!!!

I REALLY think Im starting to turn the corner with this thing!!! YEA!!!! I don't feel nearly as bad as I did. I have to call the doc today so he can start titrating me down on the Prednisone. I am going to work today but only for a half day to get that typing done. Then I am off the weekend and I am taking it easy. I have to send dh out today for some more stuff for the house so I can put the Christmas stuff away and some pants for my eldest. His growth hormone was increased about a month ago and he is growing like a weed again. He looks like Floodwater Floyd in his pants LOL!!! I am not however going with them. Im staying OUT of the stores and just staying home and relaxing. I want this thing gone and gone for good and I dont want to take the chance of picking up anything else. A few more days of downtime are not going to kill me. Im gonna do some puttering around the house but will take it easy and if any spray cleaners need to be used I will have dh spray them so I dont breathe them in. I will still feel useful and I can rest when I want to and I will feel better about the house.

Well I better get my tushy in gear and get to work.

HUGS TO ALL!!!

Good morning everyone!

Lily, I agree with you about not venturing out on New Years Eve. I usually go to my sister's and sleep there. New Years Eve is just a commercialized excuse for a party. And you have all the amatuer drunks out on the street that night--it's bad enough dealing with the professional drunks, but throw in the amateurs, and egads.

Caroline, I didn't realize that ice cream cake and toothpaste don't mix. All's I can say is don't drink orange juice to get rid of the taste. That is nasty.

Karen, glad you are starting to feel better. Just don't overdo it because you are feeling a bit better.

Have a good day, everyone!

JellyrollsKaren

Was Pam here last night? I didn't see her. Did you?

Rose Mary, have a good time with your sis!

Elaine, burns and sinuses? You're just falling apart, aren't you. I hate burns.

Morning all! Had a very lazy morning here, but happy to report that Ohio State blew out Oklahoma State 33-7. Kind of a boring game I guess. Luis is still asleep, and I'll let him stay there for a while.

Howdy Rose Mary! Miss seeing you around here! I hope you have a very happy new year!

Did I see something? Um... guess not ;)

Lily, hope your 1/2 day at work flies on by

LOL Caroline, the idea of toothpaste and ice cream cake doesn't sound very good to me either. It only is okay if the ice cream is mint ;)

Karen, glad you are feeling better and glad that your DH is helping out so much so you can relax some and get well!

JRKaren, trust me, I am fairly young, but have been falling apart for years now :p

I have to admit, I do like NYE... but I don't like the huge commercialized parties. If home, I would go over to my Dad's for dinner with any family that is in town. We'd make some sausages & sauerkraut and order in Chinese. Then I would go over to my friend Kevin's (well this has only been more recently, but about half the time he would be there when we'd fidn somewhere to go) for a gathering with firends. Usually I spend it with some of my oldest and dearest friends. Sometimes playing cards and just talking and others, dancing a little in a person's house. This year we won't be venturing out of the cabin at all... just doing whatever until the ball drops. Not sure why, but I kind of like NYE... means I can "start again" if things haven't been going right.

Hola. We'll be off to Epcot in a bit, just popping in to say hi!

Toothpaste and Ice Cream doesn't sound good. Last night, on our way home from dinner, the smell of my leftover steak and the boy's gum permeated the air, and Ed said "mmm, Minty Meat"!

Elaine's NYE sounds like us. Before kids, I would host New Years at my place-and host several out of town guests. Since the kids, it's been very quiet. We had another couple over for the past few years. I think Mom expects us over there tomorrow night, but I don't want to drive anywhere on "amateur night". Apparently, fireworks are a big deal for New Year's here, so I guess I'll be woken by the noise!

TC, that's a cute pic!

We went to Walmart and were able to exchange the movies my MIL gave the kids-they got 5 movies for the 4 we brought, yay!

Anyways, let me do some last minute things on here and get out of dodge!

Suzanne

Quick in and out......again. sorry :(
I will post dress pictures later when I find them online. The bridesmaids and groom's attendents were chosen yesterday :bounce:
I think we are looking at flowers today.
EOIP...again. I will have time tonight (I hope). The kids are headed out to see The Lion King....so I will use that time as computer time. I am so far behind on everything!!

Happy New Year's Eve eve! I'm with ya Elaine... I like NYE for the "new beginnings" too. :)

Karen, I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better! Hugs to ya!

Hi Nancy! Looking forward to seeing the dresses!!

Speaking of pictures... I love looking at the YaYa and kiddo pics from WDW! They're wonderful! So nice for we pathetic homebound Dis'ers to see! :p

Lily, your boss and her FIL will be in my thoughts and prayers!

How is Mandy feeling?

Tara, how are the wrists?

Suzanne went to Epcot? Sigh. I miss that place! It's so beautiful! My favorite park!

Hello RM! How are ya? Hope all is well. Enjoy your visit with sis and a Happy New Year to you!!

TC... the pic of your DW with the little guy is adorable!! What a cutie!

Caroline... I've always thought ferrets were the cutest things and seem as though they'd make wonderful pets! What is their average life span? LOTR swords... ah! So much fun!! :) Arwen's sword is Hadafang. That was the first one we acquired. It's a beautiful piece. The collection is relatively young.... so far we just have the three LOTR swords and a couple of Japanese pieces from WWII... gifts from Cam's great grandfather. You have Strider's?!? Ack!!! That's the next one on my list! Do you also have the scabbard?

Just in case ya'll weren't sure... Pam wasn't here earlier....

Quick hi! I'm in between cleaning. Took all the Christmas stuff down last night (I was sick of the clutter...and Tink had my tree looking awful) and am just now putting back all my pics and stuff. Our friends are coming over tomorrow to hang out for NYE and spending the night so I've been busy cleaning.
Boys and Junior are at the church cleaning up and moving stuff (we move to our new church Sunday) so I have the house to myself. :bounce:

Love all the pics.

Back to cleaning!

:wave2:

Hmmm...what does this mean? ARe we pretending we can't see Pam, again? You know that doesn't work. She'll only cook something EXTRA FUN..so we can pretend we don't see her, but we can't pretend we don't SMELL her pot au ferret or muskat a l'orange.:crazy2:

Hi all. Did you all have nice Christmases? Santy bring you everything you wanted?;) I had a good one...a lot more modest than past years which I'm thankful for. Now that everyone is all grown up, everyone just buys themselves everything they want and it's REALLY hard to get anyone anything superb. It's more about just hanging out, spending time and EATING together.;)

Just a quick pop in and my requisite EOIP...so exhausted lately, just want to sit around and do nuttin'. Anyone else have a hard time keeping up with their spouse? We have a date to go ice skating in a couple of hours and I really don't know where I'm going to find the strength...I'll check y'all later!

Just thought I'd say Hello to all the Ya Ya's! :flower3:

How disgusting is this! I bought myself a box of chocolates yesterday, and I'm working my way through it! I did get some for Christmas, but had to share....darn! ;) :) These are all for me........(evil cackle)... :p Mighty tasty, too! :)

I hope you all have a great day!! :)

You had better save some room for those ornaments from Beth. :earseek:

I'm sure that we'll get them to you someday. Hopefully before Christmas 2005.

I'm out for the weekend, so I hope all the Y'allY'alls have a safe and happy New Year.

Y'all be careful out there. ;)

Total EOIP here...

Happy New Year everyone! I will see you on Sunday :)

Here's a photo that I found of Luis and Elaine from the Zurg's dessert party that I wanted to share with YaYa'll.

Afternoon everyone!

Hope it's been a good Thursday so far. This are still relatively quiet at work, so it hasn't been too exciting here. I'm definitely feeling better today. My sinuses are still waging war on my head and throat, but I'm on the upswing. Hooray! :Pinkbounc

Karen, I'm so glad you're feeling better too! I hope you can get that Pred dose down to 'zip' soon. A relaxing weekend sounds like just the right thing.

JRKaren, it was Pralines and Cream ice cream mixing with my cinnamon flavored toothpaste. Definitely not good. I'm not sure if mint ice cream would have worked better - an experiment for another day, I guess. heehee I've never tried the OJ/toothpaste thing before, but I've heard it's similar to mint and beer which, unfortunately, I have tried. :crazy2:

Elaine, hope the sinuses are doing better today. Did you ever discover their 'purpose'? Your traditional NYE celebration sounds nice. Before I left home, I used to do something similar, either hanging out with my parents or friends (or both). I hope you have as good a time this year.

Suzanne, minty meat doesn't sound too good either (although it did make me laugh out loud - more strange looks at the office for Caroline - heehee). Hope you're having a great time at Epcot.

Hi Nancy, hope you're finding time to relax somewhere in the hustle and the bustle. :)

Kimmie, my first two ferrets both lived to be just less than 6 years old. My current two are both about 4 (they're resuces, so I'm not sure exactly how old they are). One bad thing about ferrets is they tend to have a lot of health problems. All 4 of my kids have had adrenal disease (tumors on one or both adrenal glands), that had to be removed. One had several other kinds of tumors as well, but she was so tiny she couldn't have the surgery for them. Unfortunately because of the practices of 'big breeders', this disease is very common in pet ferrets. I still think they're totally worth it, but they can be very expensive pets with their medical 'shenanigans'. :) A ferret that has no health problems should have a life span around 8 years, although some live into their teens. Ah yes, Hadafang = Arwen's sword .. I should have looked that up. I'm totally jealous now, of course. LOL We don't have the scabbard yet - it was super-expensive when they brought it out. It's still on Scott's wish list though.

Sherry, sounds like a whole lotta cleaning going on in your neck of the woods! Hope it's all going well.

Eep .. must get back to work. Hi RM, Beth, Liz, Lily, Jeannie, Kim, TC, Alan and Kathy! :wave2: I would say Hi to Pam, but she obviously wasn't here. ;)
