Hi all,
just popping in to say hey before I go out shopping at Kohl's. Only worked half day due to doctors checkup at 1:30. Everything is going as planned according to the doc. Just have to have a mammogram in 6 months to check for scar tissue and such. YAY!!

I can actually be active again without worries.

Hey all you Ya Yas!!! How the heck are ya?? Had to get me some retail therapy yesterday and could't manage to play online too. Whooo-hoooooo, I scored, too!!! Went to the Disney Catalog Outlet store that is here in my neck of the woods. There was this sweet little CM wandering around the store asking people if they had a coupon and giving them one if they didn't! It was for 40% off your entire purchase, not just one item!!!!! So I finally got the Pooh Bear sheets I've been wanting for my bed. Catalog price $88, outlet price $66, MY price $39.60!!!!!! I also found a pair of shorts, a pair of capris, a Tinkerbell dress and a surprise for a friend's DGD (can't tell, she posts here sometimes!!), and.......after all that, because I spent over $35 I also got a free Disney t-shirt!!! A good day, if I do say so myself.

Tony, you'll be able to lose weight when YOU want to, not when your DW wants you to. If YOU really want to lose some weight, try grazing instead of meals--6 or 7 little snackies each day instead of 3 meals. Let yourself have ONE treat a day--a cookie or a scoop of ice cream or that cupcake. I learned that I will fail miserably if I deny myself everything that I love. Cuz then, all I can think about is the stuff I CAN'T have!

Kristy, how's the cold today? Any relief from that awful stuffed up head you had? Hope you are able to get some rest and feel better real soon!

Hey, Sherry!!!! So great to hear your DH is back on a regular day shift!! Bet it will feel good to get back on a "normal" schedule again!

Laine, I am SO glad you didn't eat a deep fried Twinkie! That sounds positively gross, to me. But I LOVE funnel cakes!!! That's why I don't go to many fairs anymore......too tempting.....

Hello, Tara!! Good luck with the preschool search! Been there and been just as frustrated! Have you looked into Children's World? It's pricey, but the curriculum is quite good--I used to work at one. Of course, no matter where you go, it all depends on the personnel.

Von, can you believe it's been 5 years already since you saw those lose.......I mean classmates!! I went back once--for my 15th. That cured me!

Todd, yep the Ohio State Fair is on. Last weekend was the only one I could make it to. The final day is on the 17th.

the cold isn't much better. The rain just has NOT stopped here so my allergies are kicked into 4 wheel drive and at full speed. Rain needs to leave....but....I'm thankful that I'm healthy otherwise!!

Tara sweetie....good luck in the preschool search. Good friend of mine is a teacher at a preschool. It's even hard for her to find a good one to teach at here.

Sherry....I know what you mean about the afternoon shift. Mine does the same thing...but permanently... 11am-8pm....it stinks

Beth--Im so jealous. You have an outlet store--we dont --AND you got an awesome discount! And Im with you on the fried twinkie, that just doesnt sound good to me.

Kristy--have fun with your "activities" and I have to say I love Kohl's. They have some great sales and I love to get those $10 off coupon's--and they dont even have a minimum purchase to be able to use it!

Tara--I think Im keeping Evan home again this year, he is 3.5 yrs,
I may just send him to mothers day out type thing next year. That way Michael will ahve been driving a year and he can drive himself and Matthew to school and I will just take Evan.

Thanks for tip on the controllers Shep. We dont need any now but Im sure we will one day. The 2 oldest have x-box and PS2. Though the 13 yr old wants GC for Christmas--it must be tough to be him

Shep....I think I missed the post...but what's this about stuff for PS2's?? We've just about worn all of our controllers out.

Deena....Just returned from Kohl's....I was only given permission to buy stuff for our master bath (funds are tight and I'm a shopaholic so I get in trouble if I'm not "monitored" when shopping lately).....so I got 1 really soft shower mat, toilet mat, toilet cover and 3 hand towels for 50.00
Thought I did really well considering the shower mat was originally priced at 29.99 and I got it for 17.99

ok, i got home from nannying and let me tell you ALL about my day!

got baby poop on my shirt (yuck, yuck, yuck!)
got "lectured" by a 5 year old on the pro's and con's of WW meals.
got finger paint on my tookus (two very cute little hand prints )
half of a pools water (and chlorine) all over my left side (someone pushed the side of the pool down! )

i'm tired, cranky and hungry!

Deep fried Twinkies sounds a bit icky, but a bit good at the same time!

Guess what I did yesterday? Put some eggs on the stove to boil. Forgot all about them, and left to the store. Went to 2 places, and was heading to the third, when somehow I remembered I left them on the stove. DH flew back home, we come in, and the whole house had a burnt smell. Walk into the kitchen and eggs are everywhere. They blew up all over the kitchen.
