Thanks for the new job congrats! I need all I can get. I start the job Aug. 4th. So, Dh and I will be in the same position you are for a while Betty. That's only 3 weeks away. No way we will get everything moved and this house sold by then. I will be staying with the in-laws for a while and DS will start school in Fl. Aug. 7th. Hopefully, the separation won't be for too long.

Haven't heard back from CS on that war going on at her house.

Hey y'all!!

The boys had a blast at the Yu-Gi-Oh tour. They each got there Duelist Badges filled (you get stickers for each activity) and got to duel with a bunch of other kids. DS #1 & DS #2 even got their names picked to duel with "Duel Masters." They both got cremated, but they thought it was cool to go against a master.

Tomorrow I start babysitting again. I really enjoyed my week off. DH also goes back to work tomorrow.

Pam, I'll take your DS to the Drive-In. I LOVE the Drive-In. We go all the time. My boys and DH are dying to see that movie, too!

Hi all! It's been a bit busy here today!

I can't say I am that shocked but I am about the BF/GF sleep over. I've heard it before (not until college though) so it doesn't shock me, but I am still appalled that parents let their kids do that. I stayed over at parties (NYE & prom only) where guys were there the whole night or part of the night. And one of the nights was with the guy I was dating (prom) but let me tell you there was no "letting the kids shag" going on. I suppose parents figure "it will happen no matter what" but still... anyway, that is my young "whipper snapper" rant

Before I head off, I have to tell you about my silly kitties. My baby, Gwen doesn't beg at all. Tonight I was eating rice cakes and she not only was begging like crazy for them she ate them and wanted more! She is a nut

hehe Thongs out of Dental floss. Oh that hurts me just to think about it! I use the floss for my cross stitch. It comes many many beeeeeutiful colors!

Back to final report that is due tomorrow. ick! I like school, hate work. But graduation is in May so I'm almost there!!

Now this is the kind of optimism I like to see...graduation is in MAY but in Tara's book that is right around the corner...you go get 'em girl! My last days before the end, I was COMPLETELY ready to drop out... and that's with only a week of pain left to go.

I'd heard about teen "slumber" parties from some primetime "news" show...I thought the media was just sensationalizing. Call me an old fart, but if I had a 16 year old-OVER my DEAD AND DECOMPOSING BODY would I chauffer the little horny brats to girlfriend/boyfriend's house!!!!!

Yes, Jeannie, Michael's is a "crafty store"!! I have finally graduated from coloring books to cutting and pasting!!! Girl at my old job has got me hooked on scrapbooking and I'm going bonkers with it!!!

Who mentioned A.C.Moore??!!! It's even BETTER than Michael's!!!! But it's farther away from my house so I usually settle for Michael's. Oh, the scrapbooking supplies at A.C.Moore.......heaven, absolute heaven!!!!!

Okay...I've done a little bit of ketchup. Three things stuck out in my brain, since I didn't take notes....

1. Congrats Rose Mary!!!!!!!!

2. Kimmar......LOVE the movers with no butts comment. It gave me a wonderful chuckle.

3. Shagging????? teenagers shagging with parents permission??? YAH...over my dead body indeed. I won't even allow my 17 year old cousin to THINK about that yet. And as far as my parents know....I was still innocent until I met Derek. Not true....but they think so...and that's the way I'm leaving it!!!
That's absolutely ridiculous that parents will consent to that. Sure....sit them down and have the talk but my goodness....don't allow it to happen in your own house!!!!

I soo hate having to get up early again.

I start babysitting again today. The little boy I watch is coming earlier than usual, so I had to get up an hour early. Blech! I wanna go back to bed.

Jeannie, you made me laugh with the way you talked of the slumber parties! I must be pathetic because I am also for the "no bf/gf in the bedroom" too. My parents did it that way and that was fine. To me giving any kid the opportunity to do that is not right. I think it is kind of nice to hear that I wasn't the only one against it. My roommates in college thought I was nuts but Luis and I didn't spend the night together until we were married. We did share a hotel room together once, but we were stuck at the airport due to a storm and I felt better sharing a room with him than by myself.

Rose Mary, I wish you all the luck with the separation... I know my parents did that when my dad had a job before we could all move. I am sure it wasn't the easiest thing but they survived it quite well. Good luck!!!!

I woke up this morning with one eye swollen almost shut. Not sure if a bug got me last night, or if this is the body's way of saying go back to bed!!

I'm not sure my out look is positive or a coping strategy!hahaha! Anyway, I'm working on my master's degree from the University of Virginia. when I'm done i will be a reading specialist. However, I don't want to leave my deaf students so I am doing to get a master's and to give me ideas and ways to help my students. I have come up with some neat things so far, so I think in the long run it will be worth it. I'm taking 9 hours right now, I'll have about 3 weeks off and start another 9 hours when school starts. Then 3 hours in the spring and my comprehensive final exams and I'll walk in May. I've only been in class for 2 years so I haven't been working that long.

Anyway, time to head out to my practicum. I'll see everyone this afternoon!
