Well, the Tastefully Simple party was great! I was good and only ordered a few things, but I could live on the Spinach & Herb dip, the Beer Bread and the Apple cake quite easily!

No wonder I didn't recognize FOTR---we call it LOTR. I have the set you are trying to get, CS. When you get it, be sure to watch the credits where they list the names of all the charter members of the fan club---I'm on it!!!!!

Okay, its not much but I'm really happy.

My practicum is like student teaching, but because this is a Reading Specialsit degree and we work one on one with students our student teaching was a tutoring setup. We were each given one student to test, evaluate the test, complete the required number of tutoring sessions and then write up our a Summary and Progress report. The Progress report is submitted to the school principal, the teachers for the students and the parents. So this is a really big deal. It had to be absolutely perfect. So I did mine Sunday night. I read it, re read it, and read it again. On Monday I had 3 different people read through it. All three of them gave me positive feed back, said it was very professional sounding and only found minor corrections. A word here or there that needed to be fixed. So last night I made my corrections and fixed a few things I thought could sound better and gave it to my mom to edit again for me. She came back with one word that could be tweaked and one place I had not deleted when I changed another sentence. I corrected, read again and printed. The big test today was when the Professor had to read it and make corrections. She handed mine back and I took it back to here because she had forgotten to check mine. There were NO marks on my paper at all! I took it back to ask her about it and she was very pleased to point out that my paper was perfect. not a missing comma, capital or sentence fragment. She also pointed out how professional it sounded. I almost fell on the floor. Other people who I thought had done a great job had pencil all over their paper! Needless to say i was ecstatic that I done such a great job. I know in grad school you should expect your work to be perfect, but I thought other people (who seem way smarter in class) would be the ones to get this right. So tonight I was able to go enjoy a nice dinner out while my ds was with his father. Whew!!

Sorry it is so long, I don't know how to tell stories without writing a book!!

btw-are you virginia people glad that we are getting "the trial" down here now? I'm thrilled to have all these people coming down here.

Kimmer, so glad you got that baby thing out of your system. Think of it this way, since you are auntie, you can smell them all you want and when the smell is not so good you can hand them back to mom and dad. I may have missed this but how big were the twins?
