Welcome to the Jungle........Pool! Updated 7/7 pages 14 & 15

Captain's Grille is at the Yatch Club. Breakfast is off the menu or buffet. Almost everything that is on the menu is available from the buffet. The buffet itself is in a small room off to the side. It was well worth the price because you get coffee and juice too. The only things it doesn't have compared to the more expensive buffets is someone making omelets and a lot of "dessert" things. You really don't need an ADR (maybe during peak season?) so it makes a great Plan B.

thanks for the info :goodvibes

Still to this day the kid’s eyes light up when you mention the Jungle Pool.

I just love that story...:thumbsup2 that is so fun I am smiling w/ joy for you that Liam is having a blast at Disney as is Dancia...and I know how happy that makes you :cloud9:

Welcome to the Jungle... Pool....Rock on!

Oh and I love your new tickers too SWEET!

Very cute story about the Jungle Pool. I sometimes wonder what the title means when I first see it.

What a great story about the jungle pool, that is so cool/cute. What a GREAT memory for him and you :goodvibes Hope you get to make a trip back to TL next year to visit the jungle pool

That is so cute about the "jungle pool". The kids are so adorable, I just love seeing pictures of them.

Love the picture format. :thumbsup2

Hope you're all feeling better and that spring makes an appearance soon, we haven't had much of one yet either. 20 days of rain this month!

TL looks fun, went there pre-kids but haven't taken the kids yet. Now that they are all tall enough for everything maybe we'll try to fit it in this June.

Too bad about the birthday cake, it looked good though!

Great update, Heidi!! YOur pictures of the area are so fun to see, as I've never been to either of the H2O Parks myself. It goes without saying that your kids are super cutie patooties! And now, that title of yours finally makes all the sense it the world- what a fun memory to have with them!!

I like your photo format :thumbsup2 ... I had to do that too when my updates started trailing off.

That cake did look good, sorry it was blah. The cupcakes looked delish and I am so going to find that Elephant cupcake, the kids would love it! Speaking of kids.... yours are stinking adorable! I love their sunglasses. :goodvibes

Yay for the Jungle Pool!

Love your pictures...Typhoon Lagoon looks so cute! Since I don't like water parks, though, who knows if I'll ever get there!

And I totally know the feeling (i.e., guilt) over not having time for TR-writing -- I may have taken about a six-month break from my first TR! -- but everyone here understands!

Hopefully we'll make it to the jungle pool next year. I'm so glad the kids loved it.

Besides the water I think they really loved the freedom to move about on their own.

Typhoon Lagoon looks like so much fun. It was to cold when we were there. I like your new tickers.

The first visit was the perfect temp, however the second visit was windy so we didn't stay as long.

Thanks! Took me forever to get both tickers to show up

Love the trip report so far, I was having a browse across the DIS and saw the trip report name and was intrigued :goodvibes Looks like you have had a fab time so far, well done on driving there  I always think 9 hours on a plane is a long time to get there!! Your children are adorable and it looks like they had lots of fun, especially at TL. Looking forward to reading your next update popcorn::

9 hours in a plane seat is a long time! Thanks for joining us!

Love that Liam named TL the Jungle Pool!
And so glad TL was a hit.

Very big hit. Almost drove me insane with how much "asking for" Liam did for it all week.

I just love that story...:thumbsup2 that is so fun I am smiling w/ joy for you that Liam is having a blast at Disney as is Dancia...and I know how happy that makes you :cloud9:

Thanks! We love it when a plan comes together, don't we? :cloud9:

Very cute story about the Jungle Pool. I sometimes wonder what the title means when I first see it.

Next year maybe we'll go to the "Snow Pool" too!

I think we'll have to! And maybe be ready for some slides.

That is so cute about the "jungle pool". The kids are so adorable, I just love seeing pictures of them.

Thanks Tracy! Takes a lot of shots to get good ones of them but worth it!

Love the picture format. :thumbsup2

Danica still has a runny nose but that's it for sickies! The water parks are fun. I would suggest getting there before opening and get a map ahead of time so you know where you want to set up camp.

"Jungle Pool" is by far the biggest memory of the trip. It was the first "park" that week and we knew we were in for some fun with the kids.

Your kids would love the water parks!

I like your photo format :thumbsup2 ... I had to do that too when my updates started trailing off.

Yay for the Jungle Pool!

Who doesn't love to show off their vacation pictures, right? And yes you have to seek out the specialty cupcakes. I'm all over the ones at Starring Rolls for my next trip!

Danica wore her sunglasses a lot, Liam not as much but we kept them in hats most of the time.

Yea I don't like not finishing what I started so doing the TR this way will hopefully allow me to finish it.

We went to AK on Tuesday and then again on Friday and had great experiences both times. DH missed out (yet again) on riding EE because he wasn’t totally comfortable with riding it on Tuesday after being so motion sick from the drive down and then the timing just didn’t work out on Friday. I will get him on it one of these days!

When we arrived at the parking lot on Tuesday it was pouring....and I mean cats and dogs and zebras and wart hogs pouring! It was funny to see people arriving with nothing for the rain....and it's not like it was unexpected, you had to know it was going to rain this morning just by looking at the sky. We suited up in rain coats and poncho'd the kids and made the best of it. You'll see that it stopped by the time we got to Asia. And the pouring rain returned while we were on Safari....we stayed dry but unfortunately made a rookie stroller mistake and didn't cover the stroller when we handed it off to the CM. Lesson learned.

Here are Tuesday’s pictures

I'll be back with more AK pictures!

Friday at Animal Kingdom.

Again another good visit.

We decided first off to see the Festival of the Lion King. Using a tip from Scrappie J we used Liam's GAC to be able to get seats near the exit. We had perfect seats! Nice people behind us. The kids made it all the wait thru the wait in line, the wait in the theater and made it thru the not so exciting first part of the show where the different sections make the animal noises. Then the first float came out and I was beyond happy that the kids seemed like they could not only make it thru the whole show but enjoy it. Then......nothing. No more floats came out. Sorry folks the show is done due to technical issues. I was so disappointed. It wasn't anyone's fault but it was just such a let down that we had spend a good amount of time waiting for the show, got thru the slow moving part and the prize was taken away. Probably didn't help that DH seemed to care less that the show had been canceled and the kids wouldn't see it. I vow to see it with the kids on the next trip!!!!!

In love w/ so many of your pix...you guys look like you haveing such a wonderful time :goodvibes the hidden mickey goat butt is pricess

glad the GAC worked for going into FotLK...can't believe that the show was canceled...oh man that is a huge let down...Nathan would have flipped for a huge change like that after waiting...so glad it did work out despite the no show...

don't recall seeing several of those other hidden Mickey's too...great fun!

and oh yes I always giggle at the duh it rains in FL people ;)

Heidi I'm so jealous (but happy for you), your kids are having such great AK days and you got so many cute photos. I need to consult with you more before my next trip

Hooray for hidden mickeys, sorry about the FOTLK let down

Are those information stickers on the back of the kids shirts? I wanted to get the tattoo's with numbers but knew it would bother them, the back of shirt stickers look like a great idea.

Huge bummer about FOTLK! I would have been upset...

It looks like AK was a hit even without the show. :thumbsup2

Rotten luck to have FOTLK cancelled like that.... Ariana would have refused to leave and be upset the rest of the day. The sheared Mickey head and Ghost Whisperer pics are hilarious! :rotfl2:

I was looking at the tags on their shirts too. :thumbsup2

Looks like they were really liking AK. What a total bummer about FOTLK, I would have been VERY upset - nevermind the kids. :rotfl2: It is my absolute favorite show.

Where is the dig site? Don't know that I want to introduce it to Daniel though, I might not get him out of there. ;) He is a huge sensory seeker and loves playing in anything textural.

I am so glad you are sharing all of your pictures, Heidi!

That elephant cupcake looks delish!

Yeay for the Jungle Pool! We loved our visit there, too.

Looks like the kids had a great time at AK! :thumbsup2
