Woooooohooooooo I just got the first day of our Anniversary trip discounted from 115 to 84!!!!! We decided to stay at a different resort that day since we will be coming in so late. Why pay for Poly LVC when we wont be getting in until late. I now have a decent credit on that first day that will probably pay for us to have dinner!!!

By the way, I am thinking about going to a movie tonight. Didn't someone see Bringing Down the House? Can anyone remember who it was and did the Ya Ya like it. It is one of the possibilities that we are considering.

Can't remember who said that Jodie is perky but that really sends this Ya Ya's mind into the gutter.....Guess she doesn't need Duct Tape.

I wanna go to VEGAS!!!

Lived there, done that. No biggie.

We also bought the Veggie Tales DVD and are going to have Movie Night tonight!!!

Is this the "Jonah" one??? We got that about a week or so ago. (Our only, DD, is 18. We bought it for US! We love the Veggie's!!!)

One of the best parts of the DVD are the selection menu's. They loop about four minutes long and there's a lot of silly-stupid dialog. Particularly the ones with the french (sorry, had to use that word ) peas and the one with "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything".

Extra thought. DEB, since I'm WAY out of the loop here, WHY IS HE CALLED "BUBBLE BOY"???

Hi Betty...I saw Bringing Down the House.
It had funny parts, silly parts. Not the best script. But a good movie to get away from thingswith.
I wouldn't see it again though.

He is Bubble Boy, because in January right before we were leaving on our trip, I made the comment that I wanted to put him in a bubble to protect him from the various illnesses that were running rampant through his day care. It stuck, and now it's cute (just like him, hee hee hee)

Mark thank you for the review of the Movie. I have never seen a Veggie Tales movie so it will be a new experience for me. My kids have seen them at Daycare and Aftercare and love them. Yes it is the new Jonah one. Its the DVD so there are also outtakes on it.

Deb boy are you gonna have to beat the girls off with a stick when Bubble Boy gets older. He is sooooooo cute and his eyes are soooooooo pretty!

....obviously they're made for kids but the people who make them aren't stupid. There's a lot of humor in them that is going to go right over the kids heads and is meant for the enjoyment of any adults that are watching. A lot of really subtle stuff. You'll be laughing hysterically and the kids will be going, "What? WHAT???!!!"

On a more "downer" note, I felt the "outtakes" were "pushed". Not that funny. I was also dissappointed with the "Larry and Mr. Lunt" comentary but the other two comentary tracks were much better.

Okay. I'll stop.

Jodie--we went to Vegas in October for a friend's wedding. It was a HOOT. They were married on one of the ships from the battle in front of the Treasure Island resort. We were there for 4 days, and another day would have been nice, but not too much longer. I had never had ANY desire to go either, but I am a convert, and think everyone should go at least once. It is nothing if not a spectacle!!!

Thanks for your kind words for Bubble Boy. His eyes look even bigger now that there are no bangs to hide behind.

STAR TREK: THE EXPERIENCE!!!!!! The ONLY thing in Vegas worth going to besides all the great the shows. The casinos are noisy, smoky and I don't like to gamble anyway. It's kinda fun looking at all the different decors at the hotels, too.

Well, I don't gamble either (maybe a little video poker)...but it is an experience.
Fine dining......great resorts.......and CIRQUE!!
We won't be there but a couple of days.

Hoping to stay at Mandalay Bay strictly for the pool area for Christin.

Bellagio--The Fountains
Paris--Outside street performers (singers, dancers, mimes)
Venetian--The Canal (it's amazing)
The Mirage--Exploding Volcano

Plus there are the SHOWS:

Cirque has 2 shows in Vegas
Celine Dion just opened
All sorts of Magic

I quite enjoyed sitting in the lobby of Bellagio, watching the brides parade through.

And on and on and on...Plus they are building a monorail with recycled WDW trains!!!! Let me dig up my trip report, and I can email it to you if you would like.

Plus--DH and had never gambled before, and came home with money in our pocket, plus paid for 2 nights of our room in cash with some winnings, so that was actually a lot of fun. But we definitely were in the minority, took our meager winnings and walked away!
