Hello, I have this song running through my head....
(To Tune of White Christmas...)
I'm dreaming of a Chocolate Presidents day...
Just like the one on the island...
Where the Wonkas Glisten...
and the M&Ms listen to hear all of the chocolate coming by......

DHSsenior007, Go Go GO!!! You can win the competition!!!!!

Danauk, The Doctor told us that TagBabyIan shouldn't go on an airplane yet (He did OK our October trip). So we can't come visit you. ohanafamily was looking into going to London for a weekend (Something about a Platinum Challenge) and meet you, catch a play (the one you are starring in). Alas, we can't go because it would not be OK for TagBabyIan. Maybe Next October we can all meet in Paris and you can show us around (ok, maybe not NEXT October, but one in a few years before he starts school... We were told to make sure he had something to suck on during Take-Off and Landing...Also, there are lots of Germs in the airplane, so Cold and Flu season traveling are out.)

Good morning guys,

QOTD: English girl hides in shame in the corner I can't answer the question as I have never tasted a Girl Scout cookie as we don't do them over here.I really should have though as I was a member of the girl guide movement from the age of 6 until recently when I no longer had time to help out at our local Brownie pack.

Nephosaurus I would love to show you and your family around Paris and London one year. In fact right now they are re building the train station in London that we arrive at to be used as a Eurostar station. That would mean we could get from my house to Paris direct (in about 3 hours.) I'm sure Nieceosaurus would love to see Le Chateau du Belle aux Bois dormant (I think that is how you spell it in French!). The castle is so pretty as it is all pink. You could go and visit the dragon in the basement who guards the castle, perhaps he is one of your long lost relatives.

DHSsenior007 let us know ASAP how the competition went. I'm sure you were all brill.

Today I am going shopping with Pete. We are going to Milton Keynes which I love as it has a huge indoor shopping centre (and a huge Disney store!) I don't really need anything but Pete needs to go to the violin shop to get some new strings.

Have a great day everyone.

Oh, I left some breakfast lasagna and fresh fruit juice on the table in the kitchen for when you all get up.

:wave2:

Good morning, it's Friday, TG! But ewwww next week is school vacation what in the chocolate heck am I gonna do with the kids!

Good morning everybody - I didn't check in yesterday because after work Stephanie had gymnastics and dance and then Thursday is by favorite tv night. DH, Steph, and I always watch The Apprentice, and then Steph goes to bed and we watch ER.

s&k'smom - Steph has off of school today and Monday. I took off work today and Steph and I are going shopping, out to lunch, and to the movies. :goodvibes Then on Monday Steph is going to my Grandma's so I can go to work. Do you have any plans for when your kids are home??

DHSsenior007 - good luck with your competition this weekend. I hope you rock!!!! Make sure you post and tell us how you did. :)

Danauk - good luck applying for your raise. Teachers are some of the most important people in the world and I hope you get that raise. What grade do you teach??

QOTD - I love  Thin Mints straight out of the refrigerator. I could eat the whole roll if I had the opportunity. So I have to make sure I just take 4 out of the fridge and put the rest back because they are so addicting.

pfishgirl - I'm going to have to try your Thin Mint ice cream receipe, it sounds very yummy :goodvibes . Ede's ice cream has a ice cream made with Thin Mints and I wasn't impressed :sad2: . Your receipe sounds much much better!!!

Well, I guess that is about it. I better get ready so I can take Kate to daycare and then Steph and I can have our fun filled day today!!
I hope everyone here has a great day - talk to you later!!

Hi guys, I'm back from my shopping trip. I didn't get much, just a few pieces of music to play and a relaxation CD.

slo I teach 9 - 11 year olds which over here is year 5 and 6. These are the oldest year groups in our school as my school takes in 4 - 11 year olds (Nursery - year 6, year 7 - 13 are high school years)

s&k'smom schools here are on half term break this week, my SIL gets half term next week. But then I only have 4 weeks of school until Easter when we get a 2 week break. However then we have to do 8 weeks, a week off and the 7 weeks before our main summer break (5 weeks.)

I'm watching a TV show about flying at the moment which made me think about a QOTD.

QOTD: What is the longest flight you have taken? Mine was London to Las Vegas which was 10 hours 45 minutes (London to Orlando is 9 hours 25 minutes.)

I'm not sure which was longer Tucson to Singapore or Dallas to Seoul, South Korea. Both were over 20 hours and both had a layover/change of plane in Tokyo though. Since we crossed the international dateline you have to add a day. ;)

Hi, QOTD...Mine was definately DFW-Soel.Shortest one? Tokyo-DFW; we got back to Dallas an hour before we left ?!? (it was actually over 10 hours, but that whole int'l date line thingy...

:bounce:

I think mine longest was Kansas City Mo to Manilla Phillipines I had to change planes in LAX and Hong Kong..

welcome back NC B's... how was your trip? Tell us about your magical Valentines week celebration.. where did you eat, what did you do? any new rides or things to try this time.. we missed you..

Hi...trip report some time in the future.

We just got back this morning---we left AKL at almost 4pm yesterday because we wanted a Dole whip and 1 more time on Space Mountain. We had a hard time getting a hotel room in SC---got a yucky ECNO Lodge room in Florence, SC at 1 am in the morning---never do that place again. We had fun--stay on budget (I was not in the mood to spend much on souviners this time). We did a variety of new to us desserts like the School bread in Norway and Main Street Bakery's french toast bread.

I chose not to be in many pictures this trip---the cameras were not kind to the figure---like just after the great snacks and meals.

MK was a mad house the past several days---we did it mostly at night.

NC Beast loves AKL---he would spend hours out at the pool/spa and looking at the critters from the various overlooks.

Afternoon friends, well I'm on my second cup of coffee and feeling much better. got the taxes done and TG getting a refund. Well as for vacation of course both kids coming down with the sniffles!! But hopefully we'll get out bowling and if the weather holds out just enjoying the sunshine. I never like to plan to much as my plans never follow through!!

NC Belle....did you happen to find out IF there are m&ms or Jellybeans at the Cany store downtown??? :confused3

We are going to be going to Orlando in April for 3 nights to look at some new homes. We are going to buy a 2nd home and get rid of our timeshare. :cool1:
I can't wait, and I know we will Pop on over to WDW because we can NEVER go to Florida without stopping by to see Mickey.. :rotfl:

Ok this is soooooooooo NOT fair....I want my Thin Mints NOW !!!!! :guilty:
Our Girlscout cookies don't come in til March... :earseek:

Eww I wasn't Impressed with Edie's thin mint either....NOT the same..

OUR longest Plane flight was from Hawaii to NJ 11 1/2 hours. then of course we had to drive an additional 2 hours home from the airport :faint:

why can't Hawaii be closer to the East Coast?? :cloud9:

:grouphug:

The answer is....both along with other candies like jellies, gummies, and french burnt peanuts.

The problem is that we decided not to buy the goodies at that time---we did have a yummy chocolate and nut covered marshmellows from Goofy's. I am regretting not buying at least a bag or 2 of M&Ms and Jelly Bellies. I was good about spending money on this trip. My motivation--->a trip next year....

so the big question NC Belle.. is how was your valentine day with your sweetie?? Where did you end up going?

when are you going next year?? Wanna cruise with us in March??

Welcome Home NCB's, we missed you ::yes::

QOTDChicago to London....8 something hours (please, it was 25 years ago!)

Net overtime in today's paycheck covers round trip plane fare to Orlando (see countdown timer below) :Pinkbounc :cool1: :Pinkbounc

s&k'smom, will you come do my taxes please......I need to get them in so I can get my refund!

DanaUK hope you get a BIG raise....you deserve it....no wait, how about a promotion ::yes::

QOTD: Longest flight/airplane trip---Aug. 2001----had to fly from RDU to National (Reagan)---was suppose to fly to Boston to Brussels to Dublin---bad weather forced us to go in DC Rush hour to take the Shuttle bus to Dulles to Brussels to Dublin. I think the whole time in flights total over 10 hours but in total time from parking at RDU to arriving in Dublin---->just about 24 hours (we had to run to our gate at Dulles and missed out on buying lunch & dinner. We did have a light breakfast before arriving in Dublin. The return trip---> airport shuttle from Galway to Dublin, plane to Brussels---train to the city center/walk to hotel...stayed over night-morning tour of the city, afternoon flight out----we were forced to sit in first class to Boston...small jet from Boston to RDU.

We don't know when our next trip to WDW will be...it depends on job situations, time, and budget. We need to upgrade our dinosaur of a computer and house stuff--paint, floors, storm doors, and odds and ends. I don't think a cruise will be in our future next year---but, at least a quickie trip when Expedition Everest will be a great possibility. We need to go visit family in Texas and other places.
We are considering planning ahead though---maybe fly next time.
