 Hi pfishgirl and welcome to TAGLIARCHY island where the chocolate flows freely and doesn't have any calories.

NC Belle, I'm so jealous of you and NC Beast. I so wish I were going with y'all next week. But at least we have our next trip planned and I can look forward to it. (Guess I should add a countdown timer to my sig so I can see just how long my wait is.)

Hi TheBellhop. :wave2: Long time no see.

Maybe we should plan one of our virtual park visits this weekend. Which one should we go to? I'm thinking MK for the pure MAGIC with a side trip to Typhoon Lagoon for anyone stuck in the depths of winter. Anyone else have suggestions of what we should do (besides eat chocolate)?

Good morning guys,

I have an item I would like to add to the vault. Mozart chocolates from Austria. They do them in liquor form too.

My gardeners have been busy working. They just did a bit of a tidy up ready for the spring.

I found this one still working whilst I was out

Oh Danauk, your not the reason for the Brad/Jen split are you?

As for chocolate at WDW, DH and I love the chocolate shakes at 50's.

Well, if we're doing a virtual MK trip today, it must start at Crystal Palace for breakfast with my pal, Tigger! Yummmmmmmmmmmm, breakfast lasagna.
Philharmagic, Peter Pan, Teacups and any other Fantasyland favorites are recommended as our first stops. Who wants to run to Tomorrowland and grab Buzz Lightyear fast passes while we check in at CP?

Oh, I forgot, as residents of Taliarchy Island, we can have multiple fast passes---so whoever is getting them, grab Indy and Haunted Mansion too ::yes:: Hmmmm, this looks like a job for a young, energetic Tagteen! Maybe Bellhop and Monorail Dude will split the duties?

Danauk, I LOVE Mozart chocolates! Yumm!!! My brother is going back to Austria this summer and he definitely is gonna bring back some more!

Also, I normally don't like Brad Pitt, but man, he looks hot in that picture!! *swoon!*

Well, I gotta go and get ready for today. My dad is at work till noon, so my mom and I have to head to the store to get food for today's meal. Bye everyone!

Oh, I forgot to say:

WELCOME pfishgirl grab some chocolate and come along on our virtual MK trip. What's your favoite MK attraction. And since you're new....why don't you pick where we stop for lunch ::yes::

Virtual trip, ok after breakfast with tigger, would like to take DD to the teacups and Winnie the Pooh, quick lunch over at Columbia Harbor House. Chicken tenders, fries, large coke and mickey bar for dessert!

Wow I get quite a view from my room , Ive been enjoying drinking coffee on the balcony, I want to head to the CP for breakfast then hit POTC.... Yo Ho Yo Ho

Is there any lactose-free chocolate around here? I love chocolate but the milk in it makes my stomach go all pukey (was planning on inserting a pukey smiley here but stupid boards wouldn't do it. Sorry...)

TOV
OF Course, and because it is Virtual, ALL OF IT is Lactose free, even The Cadbury Cremes!!!

BTW, Welcome and please feel free to stop by as often as you like.

Hey DHSsenior007, 39CINDERELLA, and all our other princesses princess: . I found a bit of trivia to share with y'all about the Disney Princesses. (by Jim Korkis in his DVC Member's Clubhouse column "Korkis Korner")
Secrets of the Disney Princesses
feb_korkis1.jpg
Being an uncle with three nieces, I know that little girls don't want to be just any princess; they want to be a Disney Princess. Disney Princesses have been around since Snow White starred in Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937 (if you don't count Princess Minnie's earlier appearances).

Today, the Disney Princesses continue to convey stories designed to empower young girls with virtues of integrity, honor, discovery, friendship and love. As we celebrate Valentine's Day this month, I thought it might be fun to share some secret stories of our Disney Princesses, like Snow White, Cinderella, Princess Aurora, Ariel, Belle and Jasmine.

feb_korkis2.gif
Why is Snow White called "Snow White"? Because her mother, who was sitting at a window during winter, wished for a baby whose skin would be as white as the snow outside, whose hair would be as black as the window frame, and whose cheeks would be as red as the drop of blood on the snow from her finger that she pricked while sewing. Nine months later, the queen dies in childbirth, and her daughter is named after her final wish.

Young Adriana Caselotti, who provided the voice for Snow White, told me that she showed up at the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiere with Harry Stockwell (the voice of the Prince and the father of actor Dean Stockwell), but without her tickets, and she was denied entrance. She pleaded with the security guard, "But I'm Snow White, and this is my prince!" But the guard still refused her entrance. Being a clever teenager, she snuck in when the guard wasn't looking and went up to an upper balcony to see the movie.

The live-action reference model Disney animators used for Cinderella was Helene Stanley, who also did the live-action reference work for Princess Aurora. If you want to see what Helene looked like at the time, she also portrayed Polly Crockett, Davy Crockett's wife in the popular Disney television series.

feb_korkis3.jpg
When I got a chance to meet Ilene Woods, the voice of Cinderella, she shared with me one of my favorite stories to tell. She took her young daughter to see a re-release of the film, and when her daughter first heard Cinderella talk, she jumped up on a theater seat and proclaimed, "That's my mommy!" A woman sitting behind them said, "Isn't that sweet? She thinks her mother is Cinderella." Ilene turned and said in her best Cinderella voice, "She is!" The woman gasped.

Princess Aurora wears both pink and blue dresses in the film Sleeping Beauty, so why does she wear only a pink dress in the Disney Theme Parks? It's to avoid confusion with Cinderella, who also wears a blue dress. (Speaking of blue, did you know that Belle is the only one in her village who wears the color blue in the movie Beauty and the Beast? It sets her apart from the rest of the villagers.)

Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland® Park opened in 1955, but the film didn't appear in theaters until 1959. Artist Herb Ryman designed both Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park and Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom® Park at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

The live-action reference model animators used for both Ariel and Belle was Sherri Stoner, who at the time stood five feet, two inches tall and weighed less than 100 pounds. Sherri is also a talented writer who wrote episodes for many animated television series, as well as the Disney movie My Favorite Martian.

Another notable writer, Linda Woolverton, wrote five different versions of Beauty and the Beast. A former actress, Woolverton also wrote children's plays and young-adult novels. Linda described Belle as, "a very strong, smart, courageous woman. She trades her freedom, the very thing she's been wanting from the start of the film, in order to save her father. Because she is an avid reader, she has a point of view of her life."

After three months of grueling auditions, Linda Larkin finally won the role of Princess Jasmine in Aladdin in January 1991. Six months later, she learned that Disney was, once again, holding auditions for the voice of Princess Jasmine. A Walt Disney Studios executive originally didn't think Linda sounded forceful enough or regal enough to portray a princess.

Co-directors Ron Clements and John Musker, both of whom loved Larkin's work, coached Larkin through a carefully staged recording session in which they had Linda speak lower and slower, which is how the executive thought princesses were supposed to sound. After he heard the session and approved Larkin again, Musker and Clements let Larkin go back to what she'd been doing originally. There are many more behind-the-scenes stories about our princesses, but those are stories for another time!

Hello, has everybody gotten their fill of chocolate for the morning? I'll tell you one thing...I was unable to sleep last night because I had waaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too much sugar in my bloodstream!

Yes, RRBB, VERY long time no see! How's TagBabyIan doing? I'd love to be a December baby...but I'm an April one (which isn't too bad...it's right on the tail of spring). Can I go on your virtual trip too? I honestly don't take up much space in luggage terms.

Congrats on your new tag ohanafamily! I remember when I got my last one...whew... :teeth:

NC Belle :wave2: !!! I can't wait to go to WDW again!!! :rotfl: I've been so depressed because Feb is just a depressing month...but I keep thinking...This June/July/August...WDW better watch out...muahaha..Ride another elevator for me and say "Hi" to the tower for me, alright?

Is anybody digging this smilie as much as I am?

PS: Thanks Nephosaurus for this new cool hangout :goodvibes

I grabbed 25 FastPasses for everybody here, rides of their choice! (whew...all that running back and forth...)

Sorry I'm late for MK and breakfast. I had a little Tag Baby to tend to. Don't have much time before he wakes and wants to eat again, but I think I can fit in a spin on Buzz Light Year, Winnie the Pooh and then Philharmagic before he wakes again. Who wants to do those attractions with me?
