Hi guys,

Well today at work I had a (as it turned out very brief) nightmare. When we booked our Christmas trip to WDW I looked at the school term dates for next year and booked the trip from December 21st - January 2nd which means we will land in England on the 3rd and school was due to go back on the 4th. Well today we were stiitng in the staff meeting and someone said something about the holiday dates for next year. One teacher commented how we didn't get 2 full weeks off at Christmas to which I replied that we did as we broke up on Tuesday 20th and went back on Wednesday 4th January. To which they replied "No look at the term dates, we come back on the 3rd" :scared1: :scared: :faint: Then I looked at the bottom of the sheet where it said "revised term dates April 2005". They have changed our term dates after I booked our holiday!!:earseek: So I ran to the heads office straight away and explained what I had just realised. Luckily she just laughed and said "Never mind, you haven't had a day off in 7 years. I'm sure I can let you come back a day late" :jumping3: So it looks like the fact I haven't had a day off sick in the 7 years that I have worked at the school as finally paid me back and I am so relieved!! So now I will have to return to work a day late!! Oops! But as the head said it wasn't my fault as I booked my holiday and then they changed the dates. So today I really like my boss.

Oh Thank God for your boss. I can just see you sitting in the meeting about to faint.

OMG, DanaUK! That sounds really scary.....

I just saw the news; Michael Jackson just got off!!!

:jumping2:

I was watching it live on BBC news 24.

I am so relieved that my boss was OK when I told her about our holiday dilema. I knew she would be though as another teacher is having a day off next week to go to a wedding and she gave the same teacher 4 days off last year when she went to Australia.

I have to admit that I am slightly envious of my best friends at the moment (the ones we are going to WDW with at Christmas.) They decided 2 weeks ago to book a last minute holiday as they have not had time off work since Christmas. So they looked at various places and realised they could do a 2 week fly drive to Orlando for nearly the same price as 2 weeks in Europe, so they fly to Orlando on Friday!! However the wife will not allow the husband (who is just as Disney mad as I am) to set foot in Disney whilst they are there!! She said they are going there at Christmas so he has no need to go there next week. They plan to spend 2 weeks at St Petes Beach.

Good evening everyone!

Sorry for my somewhat prolonged absence! I've been busy! On Saturday I went to Dallas all day long to do some errands and eat. On Sunday, I went to church and then shopping. Later on, my parents and another couple left to go to a friend's wedding in Dallas (At the arboretum (SP?)), so my brother, the daughter of the other couple, and I went and saw "Guess Who," then we ate at Tia's. Afterwards we came home and just hung out till 12:30 when the parents got home.

Today has been a bust. I woke up at 6 AM (I was planning on sleeping in!) feeling really sick, and I've been feeling bad ever since... stupid stomach!!

Danauk, congrats on the easy day off! One more day at Disney!!

Ohanafamily, no... I was a blonde when I was little, but I turned darker as I got older. Oh, for spring break, we're going on a whirlwind tour of the major Texas colleges. We're going to see UNT, TT, UT, Baylor, and A&M. Should be an interesting road trip!

Have a great evening everyone and thanks for the complements! Gotta love that performance make-up...

sounds like a Great Trip, even if you are going To Be an Aggie! ;)
I thought I saw a picture Of you on The hood of your car as a Blonde!
:jumping2:

Hey all, I have to hear about more chocolate, so I am back ;)

Danauk - I am glad to hear you were able to get the time off and your boss worked that out for you. BTW, your cats are very fetching. Figaro reminds me of my former cat Ricki (he had similar markings). Ricki lived a cat happy 17 years. Seeing those pictures makes me want to get another cat.

BTW, you were all talking about M&M bars. They are the best - especially the ones with peanut butter and chocolate.

Good morning, I'm not even gonna start with Michael Jackson. OK one thing he got away with it.

Morning choclate lovers! Less than three full days and I'm headed off to DISNEYLAND! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

.....and, because we're flying instead of driving.....more adult beverages!!! (I pretty much only drink on vacation.) The bar at the Grand Californian has the BEST chocolate martinis ::yes:: We're staying at the Hilton, so we can walk to the parks and, if necessary, it's about a $5-6 cab ride back. My job over the next three days is to decide where we are dining. There must be visits to Storytellers, perhaps one breakfast and one dinner. It's been kind of a tradition to have one breakfast at Carnation Cafe and a dinner at Goofy's, but I just can't decide. Oh oh oh, just thought of the Gospel brunch at House of Blues.....I wonder if they have any openings for this Sunday......gotta go make a phone call!

Good morning all,

Welcome back nwdisgal.

s&ksmom, I have been watching the case, I :: Putting on flame retardent attire:: think he was really weird, very inapropriate, slept with the boys, but had no "contact" I believe his Peter Pan Complex story. The press has a tendency to exagerate things. JMHO, I'll leave it at that...

How about Donuts for breakfast? (Chocolate covered of course)

:jumping2:

Ohanafamily, it might have looked like it, but it was light to medium brown. The sun might have been shining off of it in a weird way or whatever. Who knows!

I'm feeling MUCH better today... but last night the dogs kept me up till midnight because of a storm that only lasted from 10:45 to 11:15. Yep, they ARE crazy!!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day!

Mmmm, peas. Anyone want to join me for a bowl tomorrow?

Ian, NC Beast can join you. He is having peas in his turkey noodle soup in his work lunches this week.

Good night!

::yes:: I'd like some peas! Can I have mine whole instead of mushed?
