I have two sets of french doors leading out to my pool/patio area. I can see them from my computer. So I am sitting here minding my own business, when I hear a loud thump and scratching noises. I look over and there is this thing that can only be from Jurassic park. It is a lizard about 2 and 1/2 feet long on my patio door. It has very tiny front legs but huge back legs with nails at least an inch long. It also has a large, protruding, boney plate on the back of its head. Its tail is as long as its body. I opened the door to run it off. Within 2 minutes it is back on my other door with a large THUNK. I only wish I knew how to use the digital camera (I am a technophobe). It is still out on my patio. That is one scarey monster. I think at any minute it is going to break in and get me. Why do I still live in Florida??

Sounds like someone's pet lizard either got lose or was set free. Especially since he wants to come inside! We have lizards all over, but not like that.

No not my pet. I just pulled the picture off the internet. However, I LOVE lizards. I had a Savannah Monitor that was about 3 feet long.

I happen to like the meat eating lizards more than the iguanas. She was as sweet as could be!!

Nope. We do have one almost like that, but I know about him and he doesn't scare me. This thing is thinner, has shorter front legs, longer back legs, and has a large boney plate on the back of its head. Most lizrds don't bother me but this thing was scarey.
