We are going on a cruise in 12 days and I am way too stressed to look fwd to it! To add to it... My hubs got called for jury duty next week.

I wouldn't blame anyone if they thought I was making this stuff up for sympathy... it is surreal

Me too, my mother took me away from my dad, did not see him for years, after I was old enough to make up my own mind I saw him a lot more.

Now as an adult I see him a couple times a year.

My mom had custody and my dad had visitation so we saw him every other weekend and like a week in the summer. But he lived with my grandparents so it felt more like going to see them. He worked til late fri so we saw him sat and sunday morning (grandparents transported us both ways)

Yes, she took us away. We did not see him for years. When they divorced, it was done without him knowing where we were and she hid us from for years....
