"dole" is already an outside brand that has presence in the park ad you just referenced so I'm unsure the point you were trying to make.

It's fine with me it's still themed out in adventure land theme

Of course it will be exorbitantly expensive. All the other stuff sold in the parks is. I just hope it's themed appropriately and remains suitably Disney-fied.

Of course it will be exorbitantly expensive. And since they'll only be selling sunglasses, guests lose out on all of the other inventory that this shop used to sell.

Win, win for Disney. They get the upfront money for allowing the chain into the park, and probably a percentage from each sale. Ordinarily I'd be peeved. This store used to sell some nice clothing and accessories. But like most merchandise in the parks, both quality and selection has deteriorated anyway.

I'm really bummed that the Island supply store is going, or gone already. I bought some really cool stuff in there, including my favorite work bag. I still get complimented on it and I bought it 4 years ago. How many people are really going to buy $200 sunglasses in MK? Crazy!

Same here. I loved the island supply store, It had such character. I hate to see it turned into a mall store.

That store didn't only sell Disney merchandise they sold some roxy, and other brands. I am sure the Disney merchandise for the shop will still be out out somewhere else. I am not trill about the change, but there is not much it can be done.

For all those that are bummed...have you visited the surf shop at DTD? I found that they had a better selection of this type of clothing (most all of which was not branded Disney to start with) there.

I don't mind a different store with specialty sunglasses as long as it stays in the adventure land theme (which it will).

I know people who would be very happy with that.

My wife for one. She's is very common sensible about most things.......but Coach shops just overwhelm her!

(and yes she knows I just posted this, she's standing behind me saying it going to cost me LOL!)

As to the hut...........they are crazy expensive everywhere!

Outsourcing and contractors are part of the business model of the current WDW management. Expect more of this in the future.
