Welcome / Name sign

Has anyone made a family name sign or welcome sign for their rv? I can find plenty of sites that will do it for you but none with ideas or instructions. I have the general idea just need some tips. Thanks for any help!!!

I had mafe several signs when we lived in Maine but the sun here in Florida is brutal; paint faded very quickly, wood cracked....I use round screw ins and then chain you can purchase in a plastic tote like at Walmart.

I have not made signs but I have purchased some at crafts fairs for our RV and we put clear polyurethane over the regular paint to seal them and they have all held up well through 3 summers of weather. We do out them away for the winter.
