Can someone pls advise me of the time the Welcome Home Wed. gathering is at the Atlantic Hall DanceHall? I would like to get a flight early enough to attend our first one! What can we expect? Any activities for the kids? TIA

It's 3 or 4 pm; I will try to track it down exactly - should be on member site.
***Edited To Added : member site said " MOST Wednesday's at 4 pm....."
Log on to member site and read exactly what it said ( click on tab at upper right that says Member Privileges and then there is drop down menu click on Member Events(or it may have said Special Events).

It's fun to check out if you just ~happen~ to be over by BWV on a Wednesday afternoon during a trip and it is, in fact, taking place that day - then I'd say yes, go check it out but jmho, I don't think it's worth effort to focus your travel day around it & again, jmho I would not plan day at WDW around attending it. There's trivia questions & some small prizes ( key ring, hat - things like that ) and there will be soft drinks & a snack like pop corn.

Really not kid oriented - nothing much really for them unless they're older kids & they maybe are into trivia (DVC mainly). The idea of Welcome Home Wednesday's is for adults to hear more about DVC & hopefully think about add-on

Another vote for not rearranging your day to attend Welcome Home Wednesday. We attended once while staying at BWV's. You get some snacks and there is a 'game show' hosted by DeeVee Cee.

People seemed to enjoy it but we thought it was pretty cheesy. It doesn't have the polish that most Disney entertainment has. For those who frequent the DIS boards, there probably won't be any new information for you.

If you are there anyway...check it out...

Dh and I just did it last week - it was a total waste of a couple of hours between the travel time and the actual event. I also say unless you'll already be in the immediate area, don't bother.

Thanks for everyone's replies We'll see if our am flight is still avail, we will attend for the first time. If not, we won''t worry as it doesn't sound like we'll be missing much. You'd think that DVC would do something extra special for it's members, no?
