Got my points loaded Tuesday and booked 2 years worth of points on a stay later that day.

There will be 5 adults in a Grand Floridian resort studio- lagoon view. It will be my first DVC stay! So excited.

How comfortable/uncomfortable is the 5th sofa sleeper and does anyone have the dimensions?

Is there anywhere that I can take garbage from the room to throw away myself?

Are we able to ask for more towels? Do you use laundry to wash the towels? Where do you put your used towels and washcloths?

Will the provided shampoo, conditioner and soap last 4 days for 5 women?

Do you recommend something like instacart or will the resort store work for stuff like Gatorade, coffee creamer, and bananas? Wouldn't be buying a lot of groceries.

Is there laundry in big pine key or do we need to go to the villas building?

What are some of your favorite things to do in the AM/early PM hours for relaxing around the resort? We are hoping to do some evening events 2 of our 3 days there so will have some downtime during the day and I am too old for day drinking.

I can't answer the question regarding comfort of the 5th sleeper, but can a few of your other questions:

1. The building has trash rooms that you can dispose of trash...but they do the daily security check to empty trash as well.

2. You can ask for as many new towels as you want...just call housekeeping...or, if there is a cart left in the hallway...I have read they are doing this in BPK....feel free to take them.

3. On day 4, you will get trash and towel service and they will collect all of your old towels...if the stay is 8 or more nights, then you will get full cleaning that day. I don't know if can call housekeeping to collect sooner, or if there is a place to take them when dirty...we don't do many studio stays anymore and when we do, its no more than 2 or 3 if we can help it.

4. IIRC from my one night stay there, the shampoo, etc. is on the wall, but you can always let them know if you need more.

5. The beverage cooler is really really small and doesn't hold too much. I had to take the shelves out just to hold a few things for the one night we stayed...I would probably wait to get there to see what it will hold for what you want and maybe just buy what you can in the hotel shop...

6. There is a first floor laundry in BPK.

7. When we are not hitting the parks first thing, we do spend a few hours pool side, but also love to do the monorail crawl in the evenings when we get back! For those that didn't drink, they got an app or dessert instead at each place! Depending on who is with me, we have also gone to the spa for massages.

Have fun!

When the grand piano player is playing in the main building lobby I like to sit and listen for awhile. The Enchanted Rose upstairs is a nice spot to hang out. I like heading over to the patio in front of Gasparillas (the QS) at night to sit at one of the tables on the patio while I watch/listen to the MK fireworks. You can also wander down to the marina or the porch around Narcoossees to watch the water parade.
Speaking of marinas - I love riding in boats, just peacefully moving over the water watching the scenery pass by - so I often hop on a boat for the quick ride over to the Poly for lunch or a dole whip at their QS Captain Cooks. If you aren’t as big a boat nut as I am you can also walk over to the Poly.
Another favorite boat jaunt of mine when I have more time is to hop on the GF boat, stay on at the Poly stop & ride over to the MK, then I hop off & walk over to catch the WL boat out to have lunch or snacks at Geyser Point at the WL since I really like their outdoor seating next to the water. While there I usually wander up to the WL to check out their lobby as well.

When we stayed there in December, I tried out the sleeper sofa to see if I would fit comfortably if we needed to use it in the future. I am 5'5" and was able to stretch out fully. I would not put my very tall sons on it, but it was fine for me.

We got fresh towels midway through our 5-night stay from the towel cart in the hall.
