Welcome, Foolish Mortals...to an October 2011 PTR! *Trip Report link is up, pg 71!!*

Man, that sucks with JetBlue. They can never make it easy, can they?

Looks like a good first day you have planned. But man, 4:30am at the airport! :scared1: That's early. But, that early is only cool when you're going to Disney! :lmao:

Evil JetBlue! :headache: The plans for your first day look really good, though :) I always love how we all remember the last time we did ______. :lmao: The last time I saw Fantasmic was in 2004, so it's been quite a while :rotfl:

Anyway, yes, your plans look excellent! I hope your room will be ready that early... What are your plans if it's not?

Ugh that stinks about your flight being moved up! It's good that you were able to get another LC ADR - I think that steak and cheese soup would make a wonderful breakfast!

The last time we used Jet Blue was our Disneymoon and they changed the flight times a couple of times, but they were always 5 or 10 minutes changes, not an hour and a half! :scared1: I'm over it now, but when I found out a few days ago, I was SOOOO mad! :rotfl:

Yeah, it's a really early flight out...but worth it, I think! I'm not worried about myself, I'm taking the day off before we go, so I can go to sleep at like 8:00 if I want to (not like I will, I'll be too excited!) but poor Brandon has to work til 11 the night before. Luckily, he can sleep on the plane, which I cannot do, I'm too nervous! And he can make up for it the next night, since we don't have to get up early our one morning we are at Pop! I might just go check us into WL by myself and let him sleep til we have to leave Pop. We'll see!

Anyway, yes, your plans look excellent! I hope your room will be ready that early... What are your plans if it's not?

This is why I'm not a fan of Jet Blue, too many time changes, and they don't let you change your flight times without paying for it! I wish I just paid the extra money for SW. Oh well. At least I know for next time!

Wow, no Fantasmic since 2004! So you don't like it? I thought it was ok when I saw it in 2008, but it wasn't as great as everyone says it is. :confused3 I'm thinking maybe if I see it again, I'll change my mind!

I guess if our room isn't ready, we will go to Epcot until it is! Or maybe DTD to eat? When we were on our Disneymoon, we took a 6:30 am flight to FL, and our room wasn't ready til 2 something! So we dragged ourselves around Epcot, and I remember when our room was ready, I was SO tired and so cranky, I literally thought I would not be able to walk from the car with our luggage to our room! So I'm hoping it's ready!

Ugh that stinks about your flight being moved up! It's good that you were able to get another LC ADR - I think that steak and cheese soup would make a wonderful breakfast!

LOL, our LC ADR was the reason I was SO mad about our flight being moved up! I thought I'd never get an earlier ADR, but luckily, there was one available! I'm sure we will be ok with eating steak that early in the morning! :rotfl2:

Wow, Fantasmic is showing every night in September? I hadn't heard about that. Very cool! Except for the crazy early morning, it sounds like a nice first day!

Sounds like a great first day!! Bradley is my old home airport, I grew up in Springfield, MA so that was much closer than Boston :thumbsup2

I saw they are showing it nightly until Sept 30th, that is crazy, but that will be cool you will get to see that show on your first night :goodvibes I am thinking and hoping that might thin crowds out too!

I would be mortified if an airline cut into my Disney time! Fortunately JetBlue hasn't been so evil for my trip. :rolleyes1 At least you got an earlier le cellier reservation. I hope your room is ready when you get there. You're not allowed to be cranky in Disney  Hopping to 2 parks on your first day might be a little much but see how you're feeling. If you get your room right away and get the chance to rest then I think you could do the 2 parks

Evil Evil Jet Blue!! Nothing can be easy, right?

Your first day plans sound great. I really have liked eating at Rose & Crown, it's somewhat relaxing I think too especially for an arrival day. Plus the fish 'n chips are AWESOME! :goodvibes

Yeah... I love Southwest because they don't change their flight times unless they absolutely have to. My parents were flying home from Idaho on Tuesday and we had some horrific storms that night, so their flight was canceled. Guess where they got stranded? Vegas :lmao:

No, I do like Fantasmic... It's just that I haven't been able to see it since then for some reason :)

I think I'd probably go to Downtown Disney and see a movie and have lunch, to be honest. That way, if the room's not ready, you won't really be fighting crowds all that much to get home, and then once it is, you can go back to Epcot and still be happy :teeth: I recommend Raglan Road :lmao:

You've never seen Tarzan?

Never?

Not once?

For shame, woman, for shame! Get thee to a DVD player, and then understand my obsession!!!!

Hey, I love your pictorial for the first day. That stinks about JetBlue moving the flight. One of the reasons I like to fly Southwest is that they're always pretty consistent with flight times, but I know sometimes JetBlue has better pricing.

May I ask, are you using any particular program for your weight loss? I'll admit I haven't gone back and read the whole ptr yet, so if that's in there somewhere, I apologize. I'm just curious, I've been doing a lot of running, but nothing in particular in regard to my eating habits except trying to eat healthier.

Since I'm back and not doing a TR I guess I can get caught up with everyone elses!!!

I think your plans are great so far! Yay for adding another day :) When we've stayed at POP, we've always had Standard rooms and love buildings 10 and 6 which are in the 70s section right next to the food court area. We've always had views of the trees and/or parking lot but those buildings are considered 1/2 standard and half preferred so if you want 70s, you can request either of those buildings and yes they are all refurbished!

I think you said Alamo has crazy rates right now. We just used Dollar this past week and got a rate of $189 for the whole week (3 days before departure). Our car was upgraded and brand new! We've used them twice before that, booked full-size, and were always upgraded. We'll continue to use them until something goes wrong but Alamo's prices for us were crazy too!!!

In March, we ate at Le Cellier at 11:30am and it was fine! My view is if they stop service McD's breakfast at 10:30am, any time after that is lunch :)

Congrats on the weight loss! I'm hoping to start shedding several lbs as soon as I move considering #1 I don't have a job and #2 no job means little food and #3 we have a very nice gym/aerobics room at our apt so I'll take full advantage of that!!!

That's mean of Jet Blue! What's the deal with not giving a refund? Lol at having Le Cellier soup for breakfast!

:woohoo: on losing 3.5 pounds this week - it sure is starting to fall off now!

Wow at the early flight - you sure like getting to the airport early!

Yay on Epcot now being your first park! I hope you manage to get to DHS to ride ToT and watch Fantasmic - sound like great plans! :goodvibes

Waaahhh!! So I was at the playground today with my niece and I was wearing flip flops, and I kicked my toe into a step that was right in front of me. My toenail is now loose and it bled a little, but everyone told me as long as I clean it and keep it bandaged, it will be fine. It hurts a little, but I'm more concerned with it falling off completely or getting infected and having to go to the hospital! Ugh, seriously, only me! It's always something! :scared1:  I'm seriously depressed about this, so after I go grocery shopping, I'm going to come home and make my countdown calendar to cheer myself up. :rotfl:

Wow, Fantasmic is showing every night in September? I hadn't heard about that. Very cool! Except for the crazy early morning, it sounds like a nice first day!

Yeah I think from July to September it's showing every night, I'm glad they did that, it will probably make it a lot easier to get a good seat! :thumbsup2 It is an early morning, but it's ok, we'll be in Disney so I can't really complain about getting up early to get there! I can't wait!

Bradley is a nice little airport, and it's only about a 45 minute drive! :thumbsup2

I hope we get to see Fantasmic, but if Brandon is too tired, I'm not really going to push for it. It all depends on how we feel that day, and if our room is ready! :)

OMG I was SO mad when I found out Jet Blue changed my flight time! I hope they don't do the same thing for you! I'm glad I changed my Le Cellier ADR, it would have been a rush to eat there at 1 and then get to the airport on time!

LOL, I don't like to be cranky in Disney but it happens sometimes! I think we will be ok with 2 parks on the first day, as long as our room is ready and we can rest a little! I mean, we will only be spending about 2 hours in each park, and I don't really want to run around and go crazy, just maybe do a couple attractions and check out Fantasmic! :thumbsup2

Evil Evil Jet Blue!! Nothing can be easy, right?

Your first day plans sound great. I really have liked eating at Rose & Crown, it's somewhat relaxing I think too especially for an arrival day. Plus the fish 'n chips are AWESOME! :goodvibes

LOL, I'm just hoping this is the ONLY time change they are planning on, any earlier and I will really freak out! They can change it to a later time all they want and I'm fine with that, but please don't rob me of any more Disney time!! :rotfl2:

Thanks! I like Rose and Crown, it is pretty and relaxing! I had the fish and chips the last time we were there, they were really good, I think this time I'd want to try the Guinness stew, that sounds kind of interesting! :woohoo:

Awww, being stuck in Vegas must have been awful for your parents! :rotfl:

I thought Fantasmic was ok, but I wasn't in love with it! :confused3 I'm hoping I will like it a little more if I get a better seat!

Downtown Disney is a possibility too, if our room is not ready! I want to try Raglan Road really bad, but I can't fit it in! Although I suppose maybe we could go there before Epcot...I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens with our room!

You've never seen Tarzan?

Never?

Not once?

No...never seen Tarzan. :scared1: I know, it's crazy! I tried to watch it when my friend let me borrow the DVD a month ago, and I felt like I couldn't get into it...then my DVD player just stopped working and I gave up. I will try to watch it again, since you like it so much! :goodvibes

Yeah, I like SW better too, but the prices for the flight home were crazy for SW and Jet Blue was so cheap! Now I wish I just paid extra for SW. Oh well. Live and learn! :)

I'm doing Weight Watchers to lose weight. It is the only thing that works for me. :thumbsup2 I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to lose weight. You can eat what you want, you just have to keep track of points. Eventually, along the way, you learn what is better for you to eat and what is not, it's great!

Since I'm back and not doing a TR I guess I can get caught up with everyone elses!!!

Thanks, I'm so excited about an extra day! Pop sounds like so much fun! I've been looking at pictures and it seems like I really like the 60's and 70's section. But I think I'm going to just see where I get placed the day we get there, and if I don't like the location, I'll ask for something else! I just really want our room to be ready when we get there! :thumbsup2

I'll have to look into Dollar. I think I read something about them that annoyed me, like you have to fill up the gas tank within 10 miles of where you drop it off or something? Like basically, fill it up right outside the airport, which always charges a ridiculous amount of $$ for gas! With Alamo, we always fill up at a Disney gas station and it's been fine! But I will check Dollar's rates.

Thanks! I'm so happy I lost 6.5 pounds in 2 weeks! :woohoo: I would LOVE to lose another 3.5 this week to make it up to 10 in 3 weeks, but I think that's asking too much! As long as I keep losing, I won't complain about how much or little I lose!

That's mean of Jet Blue! What's the deal with not giving a refund? Lol at having Le Cellier soup for breakfast!

:woohoo: on losing 3.5 pounds this week - it sure is starting to fall off now!

I guess Jet Blue will only give you a refund if your flight change is over 2 hours different. :confused3 Kind of a dumb policy, but whatever. I'll just go home an hour and half earlier and lose my Disney time! :sad1: I'm so happy we added that extra day now! :woohoo: :yay:

Thanks! I hope I continue to lose weight like this, but I always lose a lot in the beginning and then it slows down. I'm just happy I'm losing, finally! :dance3:

LOL, yeah, I do like to get to the airport early, I'm a bit obsessive! I just don't want to take ANY chances of missing our flight!

I'm so happy we can start our trip with Epcot now! It's kind of our tradition, I love Epcot being the first and last park we visit! :yay:

Oh my goodness, I hope your toe mends easily and painlessly! You poor thing, that stinks.

I hope making the countdown calendar cheers you up, and I'd love to see pictures when you're done. No pressure. ;)

Awww, being stuck in Vegas must have been awful for your parents! :rotfl:

I thought Fantasmic was ok, but I wasn't in love with it! :confused3 I'm hoping I will like it a little more if I get a better seat!

:rotfl: When my mother called me to tell me about the flight cancellation (it was a connection, so I thought they were fine), she was like "WOO HOO SLOTS! :woohoo::woohoo:"

I like Fantasmic, but I'm not going to stand in line that long to see it :lmao: I LOVE Wishes, though

I really think you guys would like Raglan Road :) The food there is excellent, especially the Dunbrody kiss :teeth: But yeah, I personally would go to Downtown Disney instead of Epcot, because then you likely won't be in line for a ride when you get notified that your room's ready :rolleyes1

Also, I hope your toe feels better! If the nail does fall off, you might want to put some Neosporin or something on it. I've had a toenail fall off before and it didn't get infected.

Thanks! You're never gonna guess what I did (actually, you might have read it on FB, but I'll tell you anyway!)...I kind of re-injured my toe! :scared1: I tripped in Koh's, over nothing, and slammed my toe straight into the ground. It hurts SOOOO bad right now! I'm actually considering staying home from work tomorrow, but I might just do a half day, so I can get paid for something. I really hope it stops hurting soon! :sad1:

I'm going to start my calendar soon...it's nothing special, but it gets the job done! I will definitely put up pictures!

LOL, well, I hope your mom won some money at the casino!

I love Wishes too...I need to see it multiple times each trip! And my Illuminations, also! :cool1:

I'm considering Raglan Road for our arrival day, but now Brandon wants to eat at San Angel! Either way, it looks like our Rose and Crown ADR is going to be cancelled! :)

I think I'm taking proper precautions with my toenail...I washed it with soap and water, then sprayed it with Bactene, and then covered it in triple antibiotic ointment! I think it's clean! :rotfl: I just wish it would stop hurting so much!

Oh my gosh, this is the toe that won't quit!!! I haven't been on Facebook, so I didn't know! I hope you feel better soon.

I think they lost money, but, hey, their problem, not mine :lmao:

I'm not a big fan of Illuminations, but I LOVE Wishes and all the other MK fireworks. I think that's just because MK is my favorite park :)

:lmao: Maybe you guys could do San Angel for dinner and Raglan Road for lunch?

Yeah, that sounds good... Just take good care of it and I'm sure it'll be fine :)

Too bad Jet Blue is being a nuisance. It's been a few more days now since you added a day at the beginning, so maybe it's time to reconsider adding a day at the end? After all, we're going home on the 9th and our trips are very similar...

First day plans look great! I would think that you'd have a good chance of the room at Pop being ready, with no special requests. I've had a lot of luck with my room being ready by doing Online Check In. I think it helps to let them know you're getting there early.

I had a similar injury to my big toe. It was just after Carter was born and I was at Kohls, carrying him and pushing one of those carts for some reason and somehow I kicked something underneath the cart and my toenail was bleeding and loose. It hurt a lot and I was very worried it would fall off and never grow back and I'd have to walk through life toenail-less. It took about a year, but it did heal completely and is now as good as ever. Before it got better, it turned an interesting shade of purple, so I painted the other nine toes to match, so it wouldn't look ugly.:thumbsup2
