Welcome, Foolish Mortals...to an October 2011 PTR! *Trip Report link is up, pg 71!!*

YAY
I am SO excited for you that you were able to fit it in!!! :woohoo:

LOVE AP!!! Glad that you worked it out :)

What sold Brandon on the menu? The Buffalo? Tell him it is AMAZING!:thumbsup2

:) EEEE!!!! :)

You will LOVE AP! :cool1:

Thanks, I'm excited too!!

I'm not sure what specific thing Brandon was interested, but I know what he likes, and I think he would love pretty much anything on that menu! I'm guessing he will get the buffalo, it looks fantastic! :cool1:

I'm so glad you liked it so much, now I'm even more happy I changed ADR's!

AP sounds wonderful! That should be a really fun day. :cool1:

Thanks! It is definitely going to be a fun, tiring day! I always love the first full day of being in Disney World! :cool1:

So glad to hear you guys found time and agreed on Artist Point...I think you guys will enjoy it :goodvibes

I LOVED the new pirates movie too and I was not that excited about seeing another Pirates movie ( didnt like the second and third ones), this one was really good though!!

Thanks! I think we are going to love it, I wonder if it's going to knock Le Cellier out of it's top spot as Brandon's favorite Disney restaurant??? :scared1:

Wasn't the new Pirates SOOO good! I want to see it again! I actually liked the third movie a lot, and I know a lot of people didn't, but I thought it was really interesting, with the whole world's end thing! :woohoo: But the 4th is probably my favorite right now! I loved those mermaids! :yay:

Jen!!!! I'm so happy you guys are going in October! I wish we were going so we could meet up! Lumar got the boot from work in February and has been "looking" for jobs (meaning, I scour the web and find postings and send them to him so he can click the link and upload his resume....:rolleyes1) and I was supposed to be getting let go this August but now they've pushed me back to MARCH 2012!! It's good and bad....good because clearly we need the money and the insurance and the stability...but it's SO BORING!!

So anyway, no WDW for us this year unless a miracle happens....but we're brainstorming for at least one trip in 2012.

And I haven't even started scrapping our 2010 trip yet and it's been 7 months already!

Anyhoo...you can have your PTR back now =)

Hey!! I've been wondering if you abandoned the DIS! Ugh, sorry about Lumar and the job, but at least you get to keep yours a little longer! :thumbsup2:

I can't wait to go in October, it's going to be so much fun! :cool1: I'm just nervous about the weather, I'm afraid it's gonna be 90 and humid!

Ugh, that's too bad no Disney this year. :( But at least you have 2012 to look forward too! I'm not sure if I'm going in 2012...if I do, it will have to be the cheapest trip possible! :rotfl:

Keep in touch! :yay:

Hi everyone! I figured it was probably time to post our park itinerary, since this PTR has been going for almost 2 months now! There you have it! I'm sure things will change once we get there, we always end up switching a few things around, one night we might not want to go to a certain park, or sleep in on a day I want to get to a park early, but that's the plan for now! Just like in November, the first few days are going to be crazy! But I'm looking forward to it, October can't get here fast enough!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! :cool1:

That's a great itinerary! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: on getting to do 2 MNSSHP's and attending the F&W festival!!

You guys are brave in planning two rope drops after late nights at the parties! I love my sleep too much to be able to do that! :rotfl:

Everything looks great, you guys are gonna have a fantastic time and you will love love love MNSSHP :)

I love your itinerary! I know I've said it a million times but I am SO excited for you to go to MNSSHP and the haunted carriage ride! I know I've said this a million times too, but Halloween at Disney is a million times better than Christmas at Disney in my opinion!

Sounds like a great plan! I hate to almost wish summer away, but I am so excited for October to come! :goodvibes

3 parks in one day:thumbsup2 I got the park hoppers and I am trying to remember if we ever ended up going to a second park in a day. I know that the weekend at the BC we were supposed to do 2 parks a day but I am thinking the PH were a complete waste. I am thinking of just getting John the 10 non expiring ticket next time. He can just use 2 days a trip and it can last him the rest of his life.

Artist Point looks so good. I walked by each night and thought about going by myself but I didn't bring any clothes that I could wear. I know people say you can wear park clothes but I wasn't walking in there with my Mickey Mouse shirt and pink crocs. I could easily see Brandon loving it and then you'll have to fit that one in each trip too. I am surprised you still haven't tried California Grill especially since you are staying so close to CR.

Jen, plans sound great. Lucky you going to two MNSSHP (we loved our first time at it last year).

Thanks! I wasn't sure about doing 2 MNSSHP's, but I don't know when we will be back in October, so I want to make sure I fit everything in and don't have to rush! I already know I want to take a picture with Cinderella's coach, see the parade, and Hallowishes and meet the villains, so I'm going to need lots of time! :thumbsup2

The plans look great! Are the pics all u took? I love the last epcot one!

Thanks! No, I wish I took these pictures, I just did a search on google and borrowed them! Isn't the last Epcot one so pretty? :)

That's a great itinerary! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm not sure if I even mentioned to Brandon that we are doing 2 parties, but...whatever! :rotfl: I can't wait to have more time at F&W this year, last year we were so rushed with only 2 days there, now we have all week to try everything! :thumbsup2

LOL, well, I'm not sure we will be doing rope drop at Epcot our 2nd day, as long as we get there by like 10 I'll be happy, so I can ride Soarin and Test Track before we go over to World Showcase at 11 to sample some Food and Wine goodies! But rope drop at DHS HAS to happen on Friday, if we want to get FP's for Toy Story! By then I won't care, I'll be too sad that it's our last day of vacation! :sad1:

Great Plans!!!
Never been to MNSSHP- I am sure it will be fun!

Have a Great weekend :)

Thanks! I can't wait to go to the Halloween parties, I'm sure they will be so much fun!

Everything looks great, you guys are gonna have a fantastic time and you will love love love MNSSHP :)

Thanks!! I'm so excited to finally go to MNSSHP! I keep hearing how much better it is than the Christmas party, so I'm looking forward to comparing! :cool1:

Thanks!! I can't wait for the Halloween party!! I just can't imagine that being in Disney for Halloween is better than Christmas! I can't wait to see Hallowishes for the first time!

Sounds like a great plan! I hate to almost wish summer away, but I am so excited for October to come! :goodvibes

Thanks! Ugh, I'd gladly skip over July and August if I could, I can't stand the summer! I might feel differently in a few weeks when Brandon is home at night, but until then, I'm not a big fan! :rotfl: I can't wait for October!

Your itinerary looks great! It sounds like an action-packed trip! :thumbsup2

Thanks! Yeah, it looks like I'm never going to get a nice, relaxing trip! :confused3 There's just too much to do in Disney to relax!

Your plans sound great!!! How fun you'll be going to two MNSSHP's!! (and Food & Wine too!)

Thanks! I'm so excited to go to 2 parties, it might seem like a bit much, but I really want to make sure I have time for everything! :thumbsup2 And Food and Wine is going to be amazing, I can't wait to see what new countries they add this year!

Yeah, 3 parks in one day is a lot, but we just don't stay at parks all day, so it makes more sense that way. I don't think I could survive without park hoppers!

Mmm I can't wait for Artist Point! I'm going to have to bring something decent to wear that night instead of capris and a Disney tee shirt! :rotfl: I do want to try CG, but again, it's impossible to fit in on this trip!

Hi there,

Joining late in the game. Another CT resident here very familiar with that first flight out of BDL. Very convenient! :thumbsup2

So glad that you switched your resort to one that you really love. We all have one that "speaks" to us for various reasons and it is such a treat to get to stay there! :thumbsup2

I have heard phenomenal things about Artist's Point but have not yet tried it. Forgive me as I skipped the "chatter," what did you decide to do about Via Napoli? My opinion is to try to keep it in the rotation. In fact I'm trying to figure out how to work it in twice for my Oct trip! :)

Can't wait to hear more about your plans. Good for you for starting the C25k! :worship:

Your itinerary sounds great. Tons of late night EMHs and two MNSSHPs. I love the parks at night. Are you worried about crowds at the F&W Festival on the weekends? I had heard that it would be really crowded with all the locals, so I planned Epcot for weekdays only, but perhaps the prohibitive crowds were exaggerated. :confused3

I've been following your PTR and just got caught up. Your itinerary looks great. :thumbsup2 Your days are packed with fun stuff! It's exciting that you get to attend 2 MNSSHPs. We'll be at the September 30th party, too! Maybe we'll see you there.

Hi, :welcome:, you're definitely not late, there are still many months to go! :) I kind of know you, you're part of the East meets West gang! LOVE that TR! I already told MEK, if you guys go again next year, I'm coming too! :rotfl:

I really do love WL! I was actually considering doing a split stay recently, (up until today, actually) and renting DVC points for an AKV studio for the last few days of our trip, but I felt too guilty leaving my beloved WL behind! :rotfl:

I've heard lots of great things about Artist Point too, which is why I had to find a way to fit it into this trip, I can't wait to try it! And I actually got a 7:00 ADR on the last night of our trip for Via Napoli! I'm so excited to eat there, I love Italian food! It will be nice to try somewhere different than Mama Melrose's or Tony's!

Thanks, ugh, the C25K is killing me!! I finished the 2nd week today, and my feet and legs are in so much pain! I better be like, a size 2 when this is over in a few weeks!

Thanks, I know as a savvy DIS'er, you're supposed to avoid EMH nights, but I LOVE them! There is nothing better than being in the parks late at night! I want to take a mid summer trip, just to be in MK at 3 am for magic hours one day! :thumbsup2

I am a little nervous about the Food and Wine crowds on the weekends. Last year, we went the last Friday and Saturday of F&W and while Friday was crowded, Saturday night was insane!!! That's why on 10/1, we will only go to Epcot in the day, before the crowds really pick up at night. Then our last night, Friday (10/7)...well, I guess we'll just deal with it, because I have to end my trip at Epcot! The majority of our Food and Wine fun will be during the week though, when hopefully the crowds will be low!

Hello, :welcome:! Thanks, our itinerary is a bit crazy, but what's the point of going to Disney World to rest? :rotfl: I'm excited for 2 Halloween parties, I think they are going to be so much fun! I can't wait for Hallowishes! Have you been to one of the Halloween parties before? I hear so many great things about them!
