We always drive to florida and one thing we like to do is stop at the first rest area. It's a nice place, the offer you free juice and have lots of information of things to do for the whole state.

Does anyone know the hours of operation?

Here's some info from the Florida DOT website:

http://www.dot.state.fl.us/statemaintenanceoffice/rest_areas.htm

"The facilities in our Florida Welcome Centers and Interstate Rest Areas are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your comfort and convenience. Facilities are maintained 24 hours a day and nighttime security is provided. Picnic areas are provided in most rest areas. Overnight camping is not permitted, but visitors may stay for up to three hours.

Tourist information is available in our Welcome Centers from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, seven days a week including holidays (except Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas). Welcome Centers are operated by Visit Florida, Inc.(FLAUSA) (http://www.flausa.com/), the official travel planning agency of the State of Florida. Welcome Centers are located at entrances to the State on I-10, US 231, I-75 and I-95."

Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip.
