Welcome Baskets for DH

Just had to share . . . I ordered my dd (4 years old) a Princess basket for the day we arrive. I know she will be thrilled. I am thrilled just thinking about it.

Vacation Planning rocks and was extremely helpful! Now I need to find something for DH. Any suggestions?

My family is getting all homemade "gift baskets." It's not *JUST* that I'm cheap (although that figures in! ) but I couldn't find just what I wanted in pre-made baskets.

Here's what's going in DH's basket:
Mr. Incredible t-shirt (couldn't resist!) $12.50
Mickey flannel PJs with solid t-shirt for sleeping (eBay) $20
Pedometer (Wal-Mart) $4
Foot massage ball (Bath-n-Body Works) $2
Disney gift bag (Party City) $4
Grand total: <$45

I figure the only real waste in there beyond our trip is the gift bag. . . but that was a splurge. I couldn't very well get all this great stuff and put it in a Wal-Mart bag, right?!

What I'm doing is packing the extra suitcase full of my gift basket stuff, packing no additional PJs (it's a short trip), and using the space left over when we "optimize" our packing on the way home for souvies.

Just my two cents. Anybody else?

Does your DH like sports? If so, make up a gift certificate for 3 hours of free time at ESPN Zone . He can sit in one of those ultra-recliners in the pit and watch his favorite sporting event on those huge screens while being served his drink of choice.

You and DD can have some girl time.

We are going the end of January, my dd would probably love it as well, so what is in the Princess basket and how much was it?

I like the idea of the hand crafted gift basket. A pedometer is a great idea. I always wonder how much mileage one walks during a trip.

I love the idea of ESPN. I am sure my dh will too! I can't really see him sitting through more than one story time with the Princesses. Looks like I will need to get creative and put something together. The hardest part will be sneaking it in the luggage and pulling off the suprize!

The Princess basket was just udner $90. It has a minnie princess beanie, a princess autograph book, pen wand, pad of paper, princess crown, princess figurines and princess candy. Some other things that I can't recall right now.

Vacation planning was great! They are also helping arrange a complimentary autographed picture at check in. I know my little one will be thrilled.

For DH, how about a Disney shirt, sunscreen, waterbottle strap, flips for going to the pool, and a disposable camera (so you can catch him in that outfit!)

I had ordered the Princess Basket for our 5 year old and it was a godsend. It came in a cute meesh type basket with candy, a crown, autograph book (Princess of course), pen, small princess statues, diary, fold up brush, coloring pages and felts. I think that was it. The coloring pages and felts kept her busy everytime we went back to the room which was usally just before bed time. Oh, she just walked in and included in the basket was a beanie Minnie dressed as a princess. It is a good size beanie. Our son got a California Crusin' basket, which came in a nice basket, with a baseball hat, dog tags, wallet on a chain, cookies, candy and something else but I can't remember. I did manage to fit both baskets into the suitcase for the plane ride home!

What is the # to call.Do you have to request very far in adavance. Mylittle sister is going to be there on Friday and i would love to have something inher room to surprise her with. It is her birthday.

Your are sweet to think of your sister. Vacation Planning 714-300-7526. They can e-mail you a list of available baskets. They were really quite helpful! They can even arrange for goodies to be ordered through room service. Room Service for the PPH lists a Birthday package with hat, blower, cup, plate, bag of treats or Character Birthday Buckets.

We don't check in for another 20 days so there was no mention on how early you can order.
