MY MOM AND I ARE WORKING ON MY WELCOME BAGS TONIGHT. WE HAD A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS. ONCE WE ARRIVE AT DISNEY HOW DO WE GO ABOUT DELIVERING THE BAGS AND INFORMATION SHOULD BE INCLUDED ON EACH BAG (TAG)?? ALSO I KNOW THIS HAS BEEN DISCUSSED B4, BUT WHAT WERE SOME IDEAS OF WHAT TO INCLUDE IN THE BAG (SO FAR WE HAVE LUGGAGE TAGS, ITENERARY, MAPS OF THE PARKS, DISNEY DOLLARS, PRINCESS BATH CONFETTI)!! THANKS FOR YOUR HELP :listen:

I just started shopping with my mom this weekend for our welcome bags. I like your ideas. I also got hand sanitizer and rain poncho's and door hangers I am making and battery operated hand fans. I am ordering from the Oriental Trading Company, water bottle holders (lanyards with clips)for the water bottles I will be putting in my bags. I am trying to find inexpensive suntan lotion and small photo albums as well but no luck yet.

We used this saying on a card inside the bag:

As our wedding day draws very near
We'd like to welcome you-
we're so happy you're here!
To help get your visit started in a special way,
Here are some goodies to enjoy during your stay.
If your "tumbly gets rumbly" in the late of the night,
You'll find some cookies to make it feel right.
Some water to hydrate you if the day gets hot
And laundering needs if your shirt gets a spot.
There are other things inside-
just too many to name,
A little something so you know
that we appreciate you came.
We cannot wait to share our special day with you-
Its our hope that you really enjoy yourself, too!
Have a magical time!!!

We used Canvas Bags with Avery Iron on Transfers that included a folder with the welcome packet inside which includes, maps, timeline, must sees & hidden mickey info.

Our bags included:
foam door hangers
custom m&m's in favor tins
custom water bottles
our monogram on tshirts
snacks (bought boxes of disney fruit snacks, goldfish)
shout wipes
magnets with or logo
pads of paper tied with lilac ribbon & a purple pen

We are handing them out at the welcome mini golf party as a few of our guests are staying off propert in a house they rented.

Try the Target dollar section for mini photo albums!

My gift bags were wayyy overstuffed hehe. I had:

travel games

mug
pen
advil
poncho
sunscreen

emory board
lotion

Our kid bag also had an autograph book, and extra games, and some disney dollars.

I know I'm forgeting something, or 3.

I also did romance bags for the couples. I had one couple on a LONG overdue honeymoon and the other couple had just had a baby so it seemed like a good idea to do. Each of those bags was in a v-day gift bag and had:

bubble bath
bath salts
bath pillow
candles
matches
cork screw
wine
bottle stopper
massager
(I would have also included wine glasses but that was our wedding favor so they recieved them a few days later.)

I made Mickey tags with the Home Depot Mickey's on neon cardstock that I then laminated. Each tag had the name of the person who booked the room, the hotel they were staying in, thier travel dates, and their confirmation number. We then just dropped the bags at the front desk, and asked that they be delivered when they checked in. It worked out great for us, but we only had 2 to deliver so less could go wrong. I put all the bags for each room into one larger bag, and each small bag had the same info on it just incase it got seperated.

Here's our outside bag for delivery:

Those are great ideas!! Thanks for the info... we are about to order our bags from a company. I was wondering what types of things I should put in. :sunny: :thumbsup2

What type of bags do you guys recommend? I have been looking at canvas ones, (but i don't know what oz weight to get). What have you all used and where did you get your bags from. I have about 30 families and was thinking of doing the welcome bags as opposed to a favor at the wedding.
any tips/ideas?

I got mine from Oriental trading company. It was $17 or so for 12, and then I did the Iron ons from Avery as well. I also got free shipping and a percentage off...Just one way to look at it. Also, I put information about each park, maps, ways to stay cool in the hot weather, and a list of hidden mickeys.

I am also going to have canvas tote bags - once i find some that ship to the UK lol.

Im going to include a welcome packet that will have information about the parks - our wedding week itinery, details of welcome party and 2 other events.

I am also going to include some cheap rainbow leis (as a hint to where our welcome party is) some disney dollars, a disney postcard with stamp, a disney pen, disney playing cards. A bottle opener and bottle stop, some snacks.... thats as far as i got so far!

I was surprised to find my my bags at the Dollar tree. They are canvas with long nylon strap and come in all different collors(red, blue, green and white). They had 2 sizes, I got the wider size ( its about 12" hight and 15" long). They also have a little beach decal in the right corner of the bags. I though they were perfect, especially for $1.

Are any of these shops around Orlando? i might see if i can pick up some bags whilst im over there in a couple of weeks?

I think bag size really depends on what and how much you're planning to put in. I got my tropical bags from Oriental Trading (when they arrived I didn't know how I'd ever get everything in but they held much more then I expected). My canvas ones were in the craft section at WalMart. I got most of my items from Oriental, I also found that www.mimimus.biz was great for all the travel sized items, and I also found some of it at Target in their dollar section, and travel sized item section.

we had our welcome bags in 3 boxes which we brought over to the allstar movies resort (where our guests were staying) we included a tag on each bag with our guests name, reservation #, check in date & allstar movies resort. we gave them to a manager, chris who put a note on each reservation & got them all passed out at check in.

we personalized canvas tote bags for each guest/couple/family & included bottled water, snack bags like pretzels & cheetos, mini muffins, a palm tree journal, wedding candle, welcome letter & reminder itiniary for the wedding, disney postcard, disney stickers, sunscreen, gum & then little toys, swim goggles & coloring books for the kids.
