Welcome Bag Question!

We leave in 10 days!! Trying to finish up my welcome bags, but I was wondering how soon before a guest checks in can you bring the welcome bag to a resort. We are checking in on Saturday, July 12, but most of my family is not coming on Monday, July 14. Can I drop off the welcome bags to their resorts on Saturday or should I wait until Sunday or Monday? I don't want them to get lost or misplaced by the resorts. How reliable is the front desk with making sure the guests receive them upon checkin?? Thanks for the help!

I dropped all of ours off as soon as we got there- 3 days before DH sister checked in and 5 days before one of my sisters got there and they all got them. i would drop them off when you get there-

I think the reliability depends on the resort--CBR was better than ASM, although everyone at ASM eventually got theirs, while someone staying at CBR didn't. Oy. I left a spreadsheet with everyone's name and reservation number, because we had a few people staying in rooms where the reservation was under a different name. I think it made it easier for the concierge.

I would drop the bags off when you check in. It will give them time to put the note about the welcome bag in the correct files (I think they put all the bags in the mail room, and then make notes on the reservation that there is mail).

Thanks! Do you need their reservation # or just the name?

I put the name/reservation no./check in date/ our names (B and D Wedding) and resort on a tag and attached it to the bag.

i put a label with name, reservation #, check in and check out dates on them. i also gave them a print out with all of this info on it to make sure they wouldn't get lost...

Thanks guys, that's what I needed to know! With all the work I've put into the welcome bags, I want to make sure they get them!
