HI,

For those who have booked their cruises directly wi th DCL, does anyone know if DCL place any welcome a board stuff in the room for the children?

I see that they have baskets for sale that you can arrange to have in the staterooms, but I did not want to invest in this if they automatically give the kids some sort of surprise.

Also, can anyone tell me how to add the count down box for our curise to my discussion threads?

thanks:Pinkbounc

No there are no complimentary welcome aboard stateroom gifts - that is unless you are a repeat cruiser then you get the castaway club gift-currently a beach towel. Shirley from www.theperfectgift.cc does a nice job with baskets and such and is great to work with. I will say though that the kids are usually so excited to get on board that it may not even matter . (we usually do something anyhow) For the countdown clock check the tech support board, there used to be a link on this one but it was a while back.

Shirley at "The Perfect Gift" has done a floral arrangement and two baskets for us (one for a child, one for an adult female). We were very pleased by the gifts and the flowers lasted for the entire cruise and did make our room smell sooooooo heavenly!
The adult basket was the "key lime" suprise one and it was very tasty, especially if you've never had authentic key lime products.
The Mickey puppet and snack basket for DS was filled with wonderful snacks, drinks and candies.

I realize that Disney does offer these products but I will stick with Shirley!!!! Plus she's an authentic conch - generations!! and so our expert on Key West!!
