Wekiwa springs statepark

DH's Mum would like to go take a trip out to Wekiwa Springs park as we saw it on the how to holiday show on ITV earlier this year.

Has anybody ever been and if so how far from Disney and is it worth the visit

Hiya

We went to Wekiwa Springs on the way to the Sandford Airport a few years ago as I wanted to try something different - a bit of the real florida. I certainly wasn't disappointed, it's rather quaint and old fashioned, theres a large swimming 'hole' which the kids loved, I think a cafe, and you could hire canoes and go on a walk if you wanted to. it was a bit of a flying visit as we were on our way back to the Aiport.

It's good for a day away from the parks, take a picnic and have a relax, seem to remember it cost very little to enter.

Thanks for that I think after two weeks at parks we will need a day realxing and it seem like a nice place to have a day off
