Good grief, I got myself in a pickle. I am arranging a group cruise in February. People are all coming in at different times. However, right now, I am just worried about me. I have multiple questions -

1. Which car companies have offices at the pier area in Port Canaveral?

2. Does anyone know if any of the limo companies have specials for land/sea type transportation? I am arriving in Orlando, staying two nights at Disney, then going on the cruise, then staying one night at Disney... I would like one company to do it all!

3. Is Mears a horrible option?

Thanks SOOOO much for ANY input. I've just spent two hours trying car rentals, looking at Mousesavers, combing the boards for suggestions... I am dizzy!

You should also post this on the cruise board here on the DIS. Lots of those folks have dealt with these questions, but I will try to help.

Avis & Budget for sure. We used Avis, they have a shuttle from the port, it was very quick & convenient. We did a 1 way rental. Went to the ship on the DCL bus for the atmosphere (it was worth it, DD sat with her eyes glued to the video the whole time!) and then rented the car for 1 day bc we had 9 hours to kill before going to the airport.

Yes, there are. Barb (inkcognito) and her husband use Happy Limo and have recommended them for cruise transportation. But for your purpose, you can negotiate anything you want with a limo company! Just tell them what you need. You could also take a limo from MCO-WDW, then the DCL bus from WDW-Pt. Canaveral, then the bus back to WDW after cruise, then limo to MCO. Or just the limo the whole way. Many options...depends on if you want convenience or a low price.

I don't know beans about Mears! Sorry!

The only thing I know about Mears is,that they won´t take you direct from WDW to Cruise. It always involves going to the airport and change to another bus there.Thats what they tolded me when I called them.Very complicated and time consuming, thats why I decided to rent a car from Avis.
Lot´s of greetings from germany and a happy new year to everybody on this boards.

I used Your ride for a 4 part trip at the end of November with no problems. 6 of us were picked up from the airport and taken to the Beach Club, then 8 were picked up there 2 days later and taken to the port and then brought back to Beach club 7 days later and then the 6 were taken back to the airport the next day. They got it all right. Whoever you use, I would just confirm they have all the details and then email them a few days prior and have them tell you what they have. I did this and everything went smoothly.
