Weird Question

I am a regular visitor to the parks (about once a month - fairly local APH) and have an obscure question hopefully someone out there might have an answer for.

I am addicted to Voices of Liberty and have seen them more times than I can count. Because we go frequently, I usually don't get into EPCOT until later in the day and haven't seen them early very often. Anyway - it seems they sing roughly the same songs at the same time. For Instance, I think I've heard Rocky Top and Oh Suzanna! four million times but I've heard them sing Let it Go only once or twice. I would love love love to hear it again and was wondering if anyone knew what set they usually sing it or do they not do it anymore now that all things Frozen have settled down a bit?

I know it's a weird question but figured I'd throw it out there for all you experts on my favorite place in the World! TIA!

Well, @Lesley Wake tagged a “Red Circle Club” member so I’m here to help.

Their sets are always different. They usually sing Rocky Top when they have their bigger afternoon set. There is usually a set where all of their singers come out or they have a bigger group...usually 2 p.m. or 3:20 p.m.

Let It Go is very rare now. The main Disney songs they sing on a consistent basis is their “Friend Medley” and “When You Wish Upon A Star.”

You can always put in a request at the end of a performance but it could be honored or it might not. It depends who is there that day and many other factors. The biggest factor right now might be their “new” people might not know it.

Hope this helps! Glad to meet another VOL fan on the boards.

The music that Voctave sings will not be heard in the parks though. It’s just some members of the Voices of Liberty are apart of that group, as well as, some other people. They typically have at one time performed in the Voices of Liberty though.

The Voices of Liberty technically record as Voices or Liberty Voices. Their most recent album is recorded under the name: Voices.

Omg, how is it possible that in 10+ trips I have never seen them? I just found their Let it Go on YouTube and I am officially obsessed! I am about to go look for their other stuff on YouTube.

We are going in Nov- will definitely make a point to catch them this time, no matter what they’re singing!

We make sure we see them every trip. No matter what the size of the group or the mix of people, they are always excellent! Very fun to watch.

Yes, please do go, they are awesome! Their Christmas set is my favorite thing at the parks at Christmas time.

They are SO amazing! I didn't realize their sets were different throughout the day. Great, now I have to add another day to our EPCOT plan so we can just sit and listen to them the entire day. HaHaHa! Last time we saw them, they included "Seize the Day" from Newsies, and my daughters & I almost squealed like lunatic fangirls during the show. :rotfl:

That is also very rare. They used to do it all the time when they did outdoor performances a couple years back. I have requested it several times, and they have only done it when I have requested it while wearing my Newsies on Broadway shirt. :D

Thanks everyone for the responses. I knew this would be the place to find answers. I'm very happy to know about them recording music and will look into buying some of that.
THANKS!

Bring that on your next trip when we will meet up... I want to hear them!

You know, a lot of people skip VOL, or write them off as uninteresting. They are amazing. My only issue is sitting on the floor. The older I get the harder it is to do. I made a point to catch them this past Saturday though.

Unfortunately it was not a set where they sang Rocky Top. I've only gotten to hear that once. As Tennessee fans it's our favorite

Once when I was there (about 9 years ago, I think) I talked to them afterwards and requested a song, and they sang it in their next set.

Oh my! Somehow I missed you! I was there this week, but Saturday was one of the two days I wasn’t at the VOL camped on the floor. Hopefully I’ll get to see you on one of my trips again. It was great running into you and your husband back around New Years!

I heard Rocky Top way to many times this week. :D

Me either! And now I'm gonna have to do the same thing... :)

Ugh, I agree. If I don't get there early enough to get a bench, I have to stand...it hurts my back too much to sit on the floor.

Same here! You've helped me gain a new appreciation for their music
