Weird Question

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I have a weird question. Now that we are expecting free dining to be offered to the general public in the next couple of days I would love to take my son to WDW in November. We are coming from Canada so the flights are really expensive and I can get a really good deal booking a POP Century hotel as a "vacation" with my flight through United Airlines. Is it possible to do this and then somehow add on the free dining and tickets once the room has been booked? Hope what I am asking makes sense.

I think it would depend on the "terms and conditions" part of the United site for booking. I would be afraid to go back and try to add it once the package was purchased as a "vacation". I know you can book FD through places other than Disney, I've seen it offered on Southwest before. You may be better off to wait until next week so you can see if you can get it as a vacation deal then.

Nope. You have to book a package and book it through Disney to get free dining.

You have to book the package all together. The benefit of Free Dining comes with the burden of paying full rack rate for your room. So if you are getting a discount from UA, that room rate would not qualify for FD. However, a UA travel rep might be able to book you a FD package but your room rate will be higher. You just have to compare which offer is best for you.

Try running the numbers through the Disney site with the airline you want. Last year I actually got a better price on my flight when I booked it through Disney as opposed to the airline website.
