All star movies or Pop Century?

I've stayed at pop a million times, and love it.. I've also stayed at all star SPORTS, but not movies...
Here's the dillema... I can do a week at Movies for about $514.
The same week at Pop will cost me about $850.

I'm leaning towards Movies, but I'm worried about the busses being consistant.
Also - for those of you who have stayed at Movies recenty... what do they have for toiletries?? I remember several years back when I stayed at Sports, they had pump dispensers in the shower, that drove me nutz... Hey! I wanna take home some mickey shampoo!!!

We stayed at Music about 4 weeks ago and got the H2O shampoos and soaps. We loved it at Music and DS17 said he would go back with us when we stay there. No pumps at Music!!!

I'm just curious, this is slighty off subject, but why is there such a price difference between pop and movies? I thought they were the same price.

I'm thinking the OP has a discount code that's available at one resort and not the other.

No pumps at Sports anymore, either.
Between those two for that amount of $$, I'd choose ASM in a heartbeat!

I prefer All Star Movies over POP typically so I would definitely take Movies.

I stayed there in Dec, November and August (all together over three weeks) and had great stays.

Buses were fine -- every now and again there would be a glitch but I have had that problem at every Disney hotel I have stayed at (and more so at the Deluxes).

Thanks for the help everyone!! To answer the questions... I have a good friend who's a cast member and their family discount is only available at movies during that time... the price at pop is with my AP discount!! I'm thinking I might buy dining with the $ I save, and possibly go to the pirate and princess party!

My daughter is a CM also and I stay using her discount - they only allow the dining to be added to their discount occasionally as a special so that might not be possible.

We've stayed at both hotels and my preference is definitely the All Star Movies. My family loves it. You won't be disappointed.

We stay at Movies in 2005 and POP in 2007. I liked Movies better. No bus problems. We paid for a preferred room and got the first room in Fantasia right by food court, pool, laundry and playground. Definitely worth thr $$
