Weird question: are the travel tubs of Moon Sand ok for air travel?

I'm just wondering if the little travel tubs of Moon Sand are considered a "liquid" or if it can go in the carry on. Anyone with experience with this yet? They are bigger than 3 oz., but I can't decide if they are solid or liquid, lol!

My granddaughter has moon sand and I think it makes a mess! Yes it does stick together (somewhat), but quite a bit of it gets on the floor. Wouldn't that be a little messy for the plane? I actually am thinking of throwing it out.

DD got Moon Sand for her birthday and most of it ended up on the floor...It's not easy to pick up either.

Oh! Good to know. I bought it a few weeks ago and was saving it for the trip. I didn't know it was so messy. Never mind. I won't be bringing something like that on the plane. They can get them in their stockings once back home. I'm glad I asked about it!

We took a couple of small tubs of play-doh with us two weeks ago, and one TSA person made us throw it out and the other (on the flight going) let us keep it, so I don't think they even know what the rules are !!!

I bought my son moon sand a few weeks ago thinking it wouldn't be messy, but from now he is sticking with play-doh!!!!
