Weird issue with hand--anyone else experience this?

So this morning, I noticed that I had a weird bump on the palmside knuckle of one of my middle fingers. It was blue and felt almost like bone. It as about half the size of a pea. It really looked like it was related to a vein. It didn't hurt; it was just there. So, I was kind of nervous about it, but then about 30 minutes later it was gone and my hand started to ache a little. Now, it is achy and a little on the numb side.

Anyone know what that could be? I am wondering if a blood vessel burst or something? I am 38 and have no real medical issues to speak of.

And yes, I know I should probably call my doctor, but they are closed and it doesn't seem like something that would be dangerous.

That's weird that it went away... perhaps you pinched a nerve or something? I have extensive damage to one of my wrists from where I broke it a few years back and I will sometimes get tingling in my fingers.

I'd see your doctor about it for certain. Wish I could help more...
