Weird error message

Every time I try to open a thread by a particular poster, I get some weird error message. The message says something like, "Runtime Error" and then when I click "OK" it closes the window as well as the DIS window. What gives?

I don't quite understand why because I've always been pretty neutral on him.

I just posted on the tech board about this. Webmaster Kathy was looking into it. Go post there and let her know it's happening to you too.

My DH changed the security settings and it seems better.

I can't get past the first page. As soon as I click on the link, the message pops up and then the page freezes. The only way to unfreeze it is to click 'OK' which then closes the window along wtih the DIS window.

Me too, I was just about to post about this. I get the same error message and when I click "OK", my brower closes.

I had trouble using Internet Explorer but when I went through AOL explorer it was fine. I also had trouble the other day with a different thread with the same OP.

I posted a thread on the tech board about this exact problem on Sept 2. Unfortunately, I'm still having the same problem. It is only on Flowerschild posts that this happens. I logged out of my account and was able to open his thread. I then logged into my dd's acct and was able to open his thread. But, I was only able to do that once. Now I can't open his threads from my acct, dd's acct, or as an unlogged in user.

Has anyone figured this out? because it bothers me that such a problem can be caused by an individual post.

Plus...I tried to open the post on my home PC last night, got the errors, posted to this thread, then went to bed.

Today, my home PC is totally screwed up - it's asking us to re-install Windows. I'm at work now and going to have to deal with this when I get home.

I'm not saying that was definitely the cause, but it sure has heck looks like it.

I had logged on fine. Checked in on the Dis and shut down. Now there is a problem. Please let us know if the cause was ever determined.
