Weird ear feelings...any experience??

Sometimes when I turn my head fast I'll get a little dizzy...its weird. If I hold my head still, watching the puter, TV or reading I'm fine its just when I turn my head.

Also sometimes (even during my sleep) I will hear a weird WHOOSH sound...I feel like I could be a little dizzy (not bad) when this happens.

I also notice right now that my ears feel full....

its just weird.

Sounds like a middle ear infection to me - I had a couple when I was a teen. Maybe you should have someone take a look.

A few things come to mind here.

First-it sounds like you definitely have fluid in your ear. I've had this happen to me too, especially after a nasty sinus infection or a cold. It will also happen during allergy season. In fact, my cousin has the same exact thing going on. She went to the doctor and she does not have an ear infection. It is lingering fluid from the horriffic cold she had a few weeks ago, plus she has allergies. She was told to use a nasal steriod spray and to use sudafed for awhile.

The second thing it could be is benign positional vertigo (BPV). It is when particles (naturally occuring) loosen up an get in the wrong place in one or both ears. Upon certain movements, it can cause dizziness.

DH gets this all the time. He goes to the doctor and they do the Epley Maneuver on him (which is just lying on a table with your head lower than your feet while they move your head back and forth). Works like a charm.

Beauty I have constant ear issues so yes plenty of experience. I have to get them cleaned at an ENT office on a regular basis. (UCK, I HATE my ears btw)
Schedule a visit at an ENT if you can. They have their special instruments to clean out your ears if it needs it and will probably be able to give you answers to your concerns.

Hi Harley Chick!! Haven't seen you around in ages its so good to see you!!!!

I just got some "free" medical advice. My grandmothers home health nurse stopped by. She is such a sweet lady, anyway I asked her and she said definatly allergies or sinus problems....and that my swimming in the pool has probably agravated it beyond that. She suggested Claritan over the counter and if that didn't work definatly see a Dr.

It is just the absolute weirdest feeling!!
