Weird dreams

Saturday night me, my 3 kids, Dsis, her 2 kids, and our parents all stayed 1 night at a hotel (2 rooms) while visiting my grandma. I won't get into the details of each dream, but in the morning we realized that 4 of us all had dreams that involved shootings. 3 of us were in the same room. My niece doesn't even remember her dream. She barely woke up, rolled over and asked my son "who got shot?", he just said, "huh?", and she was already rolled back over going back to sleep again. I asked her about it when she woke up since I had had a dream of a shooting. She didn't even remember it. A little later we found out that 2 more of us had "shooting" dreams. I usually don't even remember my dreams.
We wondered if something had happened outside the hotel during the night that maybe we heard in our sleep? Nobody knew anything the next morning.

Kinda freaky, huh?

I once dreamed that I was sitting in a very ornate church. My very dear friend Shad sat beside me holding my hand but not speaking. A few days later Shad was killed in a car accident. 5 days later his memorial service was held in a cathedral I'd never been in. It was the one in my dream.

Oh yeah, I forgot 1 thing. My sister, the only 1 in the room who DIDN'T have a shooting dream, thought the air conditioner was making too much noise, she said it sounded like shooting. I know it wasn't, because I had turned it off. So maybe she really did dream something about shooting?

Shootings in dreams often symbolize a confrontation or meeting that brings apprehension or stress into your life. However, it is odd for so many people to dream a similar thing and I would think that maybe in your sleep you heard a car backfire or a door slam. Certainly outside stimulus affects our dreams.
