I dreamed last night that Disney started a new security policy. EVERYTHING you wanted to carry into the parks had to be carried in clear blue bags, sold only by Disney. No more backpacks, no more purses, no more diaper bags. Lines to buy the bags at the park entrances were long, so people started buying them in bulk, taking them home, and selling them to other people before their trips. We found a guy in Baltimore who was selling them. We got lost getting to his house, which was in a bad neighborhood. Finally got there, and found a line of people at his door. He couldn't find the bags in his very cluttered house, but finally found a box with a few of them. They were long, skinny bags (like newspaper bags) with NO HANDLES. He wanted $15 apiece for them. So I'm standing there thinking, "I shouldn't buy this now. Disney could change the policy before I get there. Or maybe the bags are cheaper there. Or they'll have different styles (like backpack blue bags, or at least bags with handles.) OTOH, I could get there and there could be an hour line to buy them, which would delay getting into the parks. And I already wasted a lot of time trying to find this guy's house. I'd better just go ahead and buy it now..."
Of course I woke up before I decided what to do.
Actually, I think I know at least part of why I had this dream. I'm probably going to FL without the kids in November for my grandmother's bday and to do EPCOT by myself, and may be going again in the spring with the kids. I've been wondering if it would be worth it to buy myself an annual pass in November so that I could get AP rates in the spring. But of course there's no way of knowing now whether I'd be able to get AP rates in the spring anyway. So it's all a gamble. Sure would be nice if WDW would decide things enough ahead of time that folks could make solid plans!
