weird deal calling for CRT!!

I had called the other morning to get a PS for CRT and this is what happened. I was using 2 phones, cell phone in one hand and house phone in the other. I was calling WDW-DINE a few minutes till trying to jump the line. as soon as I would hear "offices closed", i would hang up and redial. As that phone is redialing I hear the recording on the other phone. I keep doing this for a few minutes and then I get thru on my cell phone and hear the "reservationists are currently busy schpiel". NOw for the weird part. I dont hang up the other phone and when it stops ringing I get the "offices closed". What in the world I am thinking. I hang it up and redial that phone and get the "currently assisting others" schpiel. Now I feel better and almost hang up that phone becasue I am thinking that I will be on hold longer if they go in the order calls came in, and then a lady picks up that line almost immediately. I say Cinderellas breakfast for OCt 14 9 people. Long pause and then the magical words are spoken "Your last name please". YES! I got it again. So we got a PS for Monday OCt 14 at 8:05 am. Perfect!
But the whole deal with the phones was weird. So to all that use multiple phones dont hang up the 2nd phone when you get thru with the first. You never know!

I was successful getting CRT for Friday morning! Yeah!

That happened to us and as Ive read here, its also happened to a few other people. We called on our regular phone, then a minute later DH tried the cell phone too. The cell phone was the one we got it with.
You are right. Its very weird. But, congrats on getting Cindys! hope you enjoy it!

We were just there in June and had a PS for 9:40 one morning. My DD (2yo) loved it, as well as her cousins. Now we are going this OCT. with other side of family.

I am hoping that we can get in and out by 9 when the park opens. Would love to be one of the first in Fantasyland.

I can hear it now "Daddy, I wanna do Dumbo again". It is a beautiful sound!

I, too, have read several stories about people who get a "live person" quicker on their second phone connection than on their first. It sounds like many people are finding the "stay on hold" theory isn't effective, but maybe it's only because we're not reading about all the people for whom the normal scenario (first in, first out) works. When I call for mine, I think I'll keep dialing on both, but when I get through with the second line, if I get dumped into hold, I might hang up and redial so that I'm not sitting there on hold with both of them. It's hard to know what to do. Fortunately these aren't life and death decisions!
