Weird check in question??

We are arriving at All Star Music Tomorrow Afternoon and want to get to Magic Kingdom for the Halloween Party as close to 4 as possible. I have done all the online pre check in stuff on My Disney Experience. We have our magic Bands and our hard ticket for the Halloween Party. We just need to store our carry on luggage and don't really even want to go to the room before the Party.

We have not been to Disney in over 10 years so please understand I don't even know how check in will work now. Will we have to wait in a check in line and then they will store our luggage at the front desk? Then after the party we stop and pick it up and go to our room?

I was hoping to just be able to drop off the luggage and then get on a bus to go to Magic Kingdom but is this feasible? We have Fast Passes made for 4 - 6 at Magic Kingdom so do we need to check in with a real person or something?

No question is dumb.
What time are you arriving at AS Music? You may or may not need to stop at the desk prior to going to your room.
But you do not need to stop prior to going to the party if you have hard party tickets.
You do not store your luggage at the Front Desk at a Value Resort. They have an area somewhere else called baggage assistance. They will hold your bags for you. But at a Value they will not deliver them on demand when you get back from the party. Luggage Assistance at Values delivers on a schedule. You could wait a while. I do not know how long that would be after the party.
You would be better off if your room was ready and you could put your bags in your room before the party, even if it slows you down a bit getting to the party.

If you do online check in and get a text that your room is ready before you arrive then you can go straight to your room and skip the front desk entirely. That way your stuff will be waiting in your room when you get back from the party. It would definitely be worth it to take the time to drop off your stuff in your room if the room is ready. Not everyone gets a room ready text but it’s great if you do.

If you do online check in and don’t get the text message then you can check your bags before going to the park. In most cases the online check in will eliminate the need to go to the front desk.

If you’re taking Magical Express from the airport to the resort, the luggage assistance is right when you get off the bus. Since you won’t be coming back until like midnight(I’m assuming you’re staying for the whole party), my guess is your luggage would definitely be in delivered to your room before you got back.

Same difference. They’ll drop you right at the front desk area. Unless you get you’re room assignment early, THEN, you can have them drop you off closer to your building and just drop your luggage off at your room yourself.

I prefer Lyft, and like I said, you can have them drop off/pick up basically at your building.

You can also check your reservation on the MDE app. The room number now shows up on the app when the room is ready. If you don't get the text or if the room number isn't listed on the app by the time you get to the resort, then you should go to the front desk. There isn't a kiosk.

There's no kiosk, if you haven't gotten your room number via text or on the app you will have to go to the front desk to get it. There will be a spot for guests who have done online check-in but I've never had it matter, all the CM pull from whoever is there

Yes, you can always pick up your own bags.

At the All Stars, baggage assistance will be right there where you're dropped off in front, before you even go in the lobby.
