I was just told a few months ago the reason why I was soooo sick most of the time is that I am now lactose intollerant.
Does anyone else here suffer from it?
The over the counter milk enzyme tablets don't seem to help me at all...Is there a prescription drug out there I should try...?
I really want to have ice cream again but it has at least helped me stay on the diet I'm on for 2 months now...
The lactose free milk is NOT BAD in cereal but way to sweet tasting to drink on it's own...
Please let me know what you do to prevent attacks but not by only banning milk products...
Thanks

Cool, I will get that brand from now ON!
I have been Lactose for 30 years!!
At first, they diagnosed me with Crohns Disease, but I did not have ALL the symptoms.
As far as the Lactose pills, they do not seem to work for me anymore, however, if I plan on eating a lot of Diary, I take Imodium AD liquid, and I ward off the symptoms for awhile.
I can't drink milk - PERIOD!! This is really heartbreaking for me because milk is my FAVORITE drink.
When I was pregnant with DSs I drank a gallon a day (I'm not exaggerating!) I use Lactaid milk in cooking and to make ice cream. I know it is really sweet, but I love it now.
